not to be too much of a morrowboomer (i am) but i’m so obsessed with the events that took place at red mountain. particularly the red moment when kagrenac activated the numidium, the disappearance of the dwemer, nerevar and voryn’s deaths, and the ascension of the tribunal. i’m fond of the dragonbreak theory which means all accounts that contradict each other happened all at once, coalescing into a reality in-world where two eras on there are conflicting takes, guided by interest and belief. twenty years later the fandom is still debating the red moment. i love that it allows the player to approach characters and factions from a place of interest and discovery. vivec’s own ambivalence as to the tribunal’s role in what happened (foul murder), dagoth ur’s desperate pleas to get the nerevarine to hear him out, the hurt he carries over nerevar’s betrayal. we don’t know if the tribunal killed nerevar and then voryn when he refused to hand them the tools. if nerevar told voryn “stay here, loyal dagoth ur, until i return” only to return to a voryn corrupted by the heart of lorkhan, forced to kill him only to be killed by the tribunal. if voryn killed nerevar instead. that ambiguity is at the core of the game and together with the worldbuilding helps it be so steeped in grey areas and gives the world and the factions and the lore so much nuance. like how each house has a different position wrt the changes that morrowind is going through, and no house is a monolith. telvanni has master aryon who is trying to usher in change, bolvyn venim is a staunch traditionalist even inside the redoran to the point he is required to die should you wish to move through the ranks and/or be named redoran hortator, ilmeni dren of house hlaalu works closely with the twin lamps, but the house is also in the grip of the camonna tong, crassius curio is a fucking predator who at the same time is trying to deal with the corruption rampant in house hlaalu. i could go on.

zeal of zenithar
during the first hour of the start of the ‘zeal of zenithar’ event thingy going on in eso right now, i was like, hyper excited-typing to my sister about it.
Tumblr media
there were a lot of people
Tumblr media
i got mad i couldn’t buy drinks from this npc bartender in his drink tent at a festival >:I
actually, even though it’s a cool little festival with a bunch of different creative nifty tents set up with peddlers of all sorts of items, you can’t interact with almost any of them.  Which, honestly, really ruins the cuteness.
you can, however, take as many sweetroll’s from this lady’s stand as you like.
Tumblr media
and it’s not even stealing.  so that’s something i guess.
Tumblr media
one of the scant npc tent people who will talk to you.
Tumblr media
KITTY KAT SELLING BOOKS
Tumblr media
a lil petting zoo! (although i don’t know if you can actually pet any of the animals, i haven’t tried.... you CAN pet the white doge by the sweetroll lady though!)  this one switches out from time to time: sometimes this lil zoo will be in this spot, other times it’ll be this beastmaster guy with a giant boar and panther and stuff.
I really like wandering to all the tents because there’s care and detail and creativity put into them all to make the place actually look and feel like a festival... now if only things were interactible. i cant even sit on the benches in front of the performance stage >:I

eugh. getting quest fatigue from eso...... like I enjoy playing it but the quests n story just kinda slide off the side of my brain like water off a duck. maybe that's just cos of the depression or maybe the single player base game content is mediocre but I keep wanting to go back to morrowind........
i also keep thinking about maybe making videos of a morrowind playthrough.... just as a little project for myself.... i remember making a vid on fallout back in high school and it was the most fun i'd ever had on a school project i just loved talking about games and the process of editing and aaaaaaa

i love hearing about every oc of yours so just have a bunch of strawberries 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓
AAAAAAA thank you so much!! it took me more time to choose which ones i wanna write about than to actually write the fun facts smh !! 💖
sana:
she’s very conventionally beautiful, very aware of it and doesn’t feel at all afraid of flaunting it with every beautiful piece of jewelry, dress or intricate hairstyle she wears... sana genuinely loves being in the center of the attention for her dazzling looks whenever the situation allows it, and as someone from a rich family, she gets plenty of opportunities;
the only part of her that might be considered not conventionally attractive would be her hands - they’re very calloused due to her using daggers and swords in her crime fighting, so she always wears thin gloves to hide them when she’s out and about - more to avoid the questions and suspicion than anything else;
cirinna:
the moment her feet hit the grass, she becomes completely untraceable by anyone, whether animals, humans or even by her fellow wood elves... she’s incredibly well attuned to the sounds of nature, the way it moves and speaks, and she uses it to her advantage whenever it’s necessary for her to disappear;
despite her love for forests and nature, she adapts very well to her life in morrowind and actually loves the dunmer and their culture so much that she spends almost the enteriety of what’s left of her life there... perhaps it’s due to her feelings of never belonging anywhere completely that made her hold on so strongly to this place that’s accepted her more than any other before;
fina:
adores art and beauty both in nature and in man made things, which makes the world of dark souls 2 and drangleic a pretty bleak sight... nevertheless, as someone who’s pretty optimistic, she has learned to relish the moments and places she thinks are beautiful even more now that they’re so few and far between;
send me a 🍓 and an oc for a fun fact!

i got. a dinosaurrrrrrr. for a pet. yeyeyeye.  some eso screenshot-posting again under the cut.
the morrowind tribunal celebration event was nice: gave me an excuse to succumb to my obsession with trying to get the telvanni style motifs, reminded me how much i love vvardenfell, and enabled me to actually nab the ebonshadow helmet style :O
Tumblr media
the light medium armour version of which i didn’t know looked like an owl mask until i got it. yay! (oh also, i beforehand went and bought the ashlander chest piece style... because i was desperate...)
Tumblr media
god just. just look at this npc’s outfit. look at that telvanni armour. i want me some fungus alien-looking armour too ;_;
Tumblr media
speaking of armour, i have no idea what this person’s pauldron armour is...
Tumblr media
but it’s GREAT and i want it ;w;  i mean, who wouldn’t want a cute lil capelet shoulder piece. aaaaaaa.
Tumblr media
vvardenfell is beautiflul ...
Tumblr media
AND GROSS! incredibly gross. and i’m here for it. (pictures is the wall of a kwama cave... kwamma are like grubby termite-y insectoid creatures who are farmed for their eggs and they do THIS to cave walls and it’s disgusting but fascinating).
Tumblr media
also this person’s outfit was great. i had to stop and screenshot it. ... i have a lot of screenshots of interesting outfits in this game
Tumblr media
my current getup. taking a break from being witchy:
Tumblr media
like this. but i’ll probably go back to this matchup eventually.
anyways, the current event is this free-speccing one where the high-level system has been re-done and you can change your skill selections and morphs for free as many times as you like all throughout this event.
