#bc. nate is based off of anger #he is So Angry all the time #nate gets so angry and he ends up hurting his team bc of it #but the team trusts nate bc they Know he's angry #the know he's angry and they See Him and can trust that he will continue to be Angry

#and nate trusts the team bc he knows they can/will push back on him if he goes too far #there's just. #a delicate balance #bc Yes nate is an asshole #Yes he hurt the team before #but the team can and will push back #its how they work

#bc with moreau there's just the need for blood #there's no burning force with him #it's just 'do as i say or else' #so there's no trust there bc moreau's group they Can't push back #moreau treats his group like a game that he controls #nate treats his team like a family #bc family is messy and there are too many ties to think about sometimes #but family is Trust #and nate Trusts the team

OKAY WAIT this DOES make sense and I ALSO HAVE A THOUGHT ABT THIS, because moreau is definitely not angry like how nate is angry, but i do think nate's control issues being like...A Thing in the show is very interesting when we then look at moreau's whole situation

like eliot can tell someone works for moreau because of how he operates, and chapman has eliot's old job but is still chastising eliot for not doing things Exactly the way moreau wants them done. chapman's memorized exactly what moreau said, and eliot doesnt need his hand held, but eliot is the Exception

and i went off on a tangent over [here] about like...moreau & façade, but i think part of why it's easy to trust nate's anger is because nate's anger isn't. hidden? really? he's not making it look like anything else. they can recognize it and they know it and they know how to push back against it, and they know that they CAN push back against it. they can steer him when he gets sloppy, and he trusts them enough to let them

whereas moreau is all about Perception and Image and he has like 32 layers of genial smiles and forced calm that you'd have to peel back to find the anger, if it's there. you can't trust anything about him, because it's all Constructed it's fake its for show. there's no burning force because the "do as i say or else" isnt the product of something. its the goal. its the interest in its entirety

idk where i'm going with this here, something something control for control's sake vs control out of fear or anger etc, u have good thoughts on nate and im yelling
