OH WOW YOU ANSWERED THAT QUICK I THOUGHT YOU WERE ASLEEP-
IM SO HAPPY YOU LIKE HIM!!! HE'S MY GUY!! He would never shut up about how cool OJ is, that's his idol right there!!! And if you don't mind, I might expand on the possible situation of how he reveals his superhero identity! it's your mistake for saying long asks are okay, because i'm full of words, so. GOOD LUCK-
So OJ is in the middle of fighting a villain, (probably Sweetheart?) and PD is currently nowhere to be seen. The fight is causing some damage, and Basil is taking photos in the middle of battle, as per usual. And Cameron happens to be close-by, and as an OJ fan, he's obviously gonna watch the fight!
But with rubble flying about, Basil comes close to getting hit, but Cameron teleports and tackles him out of the way! Basil asks him how he did that but just dragged him away from the fight- etc etc things are happening OJ's still fighting and Cameron's getting worried for him, so he decides he ahs to help him. But with this photographer here... He decides it's more important to help Orange Joe than keeping his identity secret from one guy. So like in the doodle I showed, he asks Basil to keep his identity a secret as he teleports to get his outfit and go to battle!
Pink Delinquent jumps into the fight a little bit in though, so the whole gang gets to meet!
And you wanted to hear about the older brothers?? I can absolutely do that! I only have traditional doodles of one of them though!
Tumblr media
Very messy- But this is Rod! He's the second oldest! He's 23! He works at the Bakery, and a volunteer at the local library! He isn't very fond of his powers, not because they're bad, but because of the origin of them (his and both his brothers' powers) Buuut!
Tumblr media
His power is wings! Like it says there, he can make them appear and hide them at will! He usually hides them, but can only go two weeks until he has to let them out, or else he starts hurting!
He also eventually becomes a superhero along with Cameron! (But acts like they don't know each other, obvi) This happens a little bit after a tussle with Sweetheart, who damaged the bakery and put the Twins in danger, leading to Rod promptly taking her on. Obviously this ends up on the news, and Cameron becomes ecstatic and tells him to become a hero too!!
Tumblr media
And this is his superhero identity! Red Angel! (....okay so they all have colors at their first names I-)
And as for the oldest! His name is Ricard! I have not drawn him yet, but he's the eldest at 24! He's playful and silly! He's a great guy, very sweet. His power is Duplication, and he knows Iaido, which is centered around using a sword with immense speed!
As for the origins.... Well, all three brothers... weren't born with powers. Nobody in their family was! From when they were 8-9 Rod and Ricard were trained to do martial arts, and Cameron followed when he turned 8! But when they turned 15, they moved away from Faraway and were signed up into the "Special Talent Program" that will "give them resources to hone their special talents"
in truth, their parents really wanted them to be official superheroes, powerful ones that will get them fame and power. And so... this program actually.... experimentedwithgivingsuperpowerstopeople. So. YEAH! It was actually tough for all of them, but Rod just took it worse, and left with Cameron when they turned 18 and 16 respectively. Ricard stayed with their parents until he followed his brothers a year after!
There's actually a little bit more to this, but it starts with a question... Is it possible for the Last Resort (or just Mr. Jawsum) to partner with other companies and lend funding?
HOHOHO YES FHIS IS ALL AO GOOD…… i love him being the worlds biggest oj fan so much that is so silly i will draw him at some point
i think oj would think he is a pretty cool guy too bro is DRIPPING in his superhero outfit i won’t lie they would be a silly team
ALSO!!!! THE BROTHERS!!!!! I LOVE THR WINGS THEY R SO COOL AND DUPLICATION IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE POWER CONCEPTS OMG…..
that sucks that the origin of their powers is so sad tho :( but at least they can use their powers for good!!!!!
for ur last question, yeah he would!! jawsum has done lots of partnerships, if he sees potential in smth he will help them along (in exchange for some of their profits of course LMAO)

KDFD
Who said “I love you” firstI know it might sound strange, but it was Fudou! Kidou is far too wrapped up in his own self doubts and overthinking and that stopped him from at first even acknowledging his feelings and then to said them out loud. So one day Fudou just EXPLODED because he couldn’t wait any longer and had to speak up what was in his heart. It was very loud and messy and at first Kidou said nothing because he was paralysed and half in denial and only in a second moment did he finally manage to say “I love you” back (after seeing his silence was hurting Fudou). And even then it wasn’t without a loooooot of overthinking about his dad and family situation, what that would mean for his future etc (to know more read the “first kiss” answer👀)
Who would have the other picture as their phone backgroundMmhh they both have the potential to do it, but this more when they’re adults and spend lots of time apart, then they would totally use a pic of them together as phone background AND WITHOUT KNOWING THEY USE THE EXACT SAME ONE BECAUSE THEY’RE TO BIG DORKS!
Who leaves notes written in the fog on the bathroom mirrorFudou would write something in the fog, a flirty/dumb message probably and Kidou would replay, always writing in the fog, to not write in the fog ‘cause he’s ruining the mirror (two loaf of idiot bread)-
Who buys the other cheesy giftsNeither? But also both? I mean they usually don’t but if they’ve been apart for a really long time they would eventually meet up and have both a silly present for the other, usually something that reminds them of shared memories like “a bouquet of the first flower you ever picked for me” or “that sweet you always eye inside that bakery’s window every time we visit that one city”
Who initiated the first kissTying this to the very first question, it was Fudou once again to initiate things between them, because they’re like that example of two introverts going out and one of them having to act as an extrovert to make the other relax and feel safe while they handle everything, just that this time they’re two teenagers who don’t like to show their emotions that much ao Fudou HAS to break from his own mind state and just say stuff, take Kidou’s face in his hands and KISS HIM TO SHUT HIM UP!Because he was spiraling with doubts and stupid worries instead of giving in to what he truly wanted. The kiss was initially BAM two mouths crashing together bc of the impact but an instant later Fudou was kissing him softly, conveying all his feelings in sweet slow movements and he felt Kidou melting in his hands until he was relaxed enough to reciprocate.Fudou is Kidou’s oxygen after all ;^)
Who kisses the other awake in the morningFudou wakes up first but doesn’t wake Kidou up because he knows he’s been up until very late, so he just sneaks out of bed and does his things, starts to get breakfast ready etc. Then Kidou would sneak behind him, kiss his shoulders and neck up to his cheeks, still half asleep while Fudou cooks and they’d smile and faintly chuckles-
Who starts tickle fightsFUDOU! FOR REVENGE!! Also because he found out Kidou is ticklish on his hips and honestly he just loves his laugh-
Who asks who if they can join the other in the showerThe both do, really, but the first time Kidou did was such a great, important step forward in their relationship! He gathered up all his courage, pushed aside all his fears and slide that door open to a very surprised Fudou. They didn’t even do anything nasty, but it was so intimate, they ran fingers across their hair, watching each other into naked eyes and exchanging soft brief butterfly kisses on lips, nose and forehead while the water poured over them...
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunchTwo options: 1) Kidou forgot his lunch, once again, so Fudou had to go and give it to him with a good scold but also a kiss. 2) Kidou wanted to surprise his beloved one and kidnapped him to go at their favourite place to relax a bit together!
Who was nervous and shy on the first dateGosh they were both so shy and awkward, blushing like the crazy in love teens they were but also gathering up the guts to actually hold hands in public during the local fair. It took them a while to warm up at least a bit to all that PDA and ended up enjoying the date, winning prizes for the other and eating cotton candy and chocolate banana~
Who kills/takes out the spidersThey both kill them without blinking an eye, really!
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunkKidou gets whiny when drunk and a bit sad, but he constantly brags about how much he loves his husband (those rare times he did get drunk for real, so like two MAX)
HIROATSU
Who said “I love you” firstMmhh it was probably Atsuya, muttering it while blushing and looking away with a cute frown on his face because he had to master up all his courage to say those three words and he’s rather shy when it comes to these things. He honestly wasn’t expecting much but Hiroto surprised him after a moment of silence bc he looked down and blushing as well while throwing one last rock at the river (which fell this time instead of skipping on the water) and just... muttered “this is so not cool” and Atsuya confused “what?” “You beating me to this whole confession things” and then Atsuya realises what he’s saying and they both stand in awkward silence before Hiroto prompts “so wanna go on a date or what”. It’s gonna take some time before he says those words as well...
Who would have the other picture as their phone backgroundI personally can’t see them doing it bc they’re both too prideful and shy, but they do pass lots of time on the other’s Instagram or through their own phone gallery 👀
Who leaves notes written in the fog on the bathroom mirrorThey actually do it together, art competitions using the fog and mirror as their battleground. They laugh and push each other slightly while smiling both at the obscene things they draw AND at the whole complicity surrounding them.
Who buys the other cheesy giftsI think neither of them is really a cheesy romantic guy? But then again, they are both pretty shy and not at all comfortable with expressing their feelings, so they’ll probably try to convey them in dumb yet meaningful gifts?? Like, if one of them has trouble sleeping the other would buy some relaxing herbal tea but with a butt shaped mug, you feel? They care but they’re dumb.
Who initiated the first kissAtsuya confessed first, Hiroto initiated the first kiss. This because Atsuya kinda pushed him to, he kept nagging him on how he didn’t believe he had ever kissed someone before and saying he probably didn’t even know how to kiss properly, so Hiroto just kinda turned around, took a handful of those pink orangish hair and pulled him into a kiss.Spoiler: it wasn’t the first kiss he gave, but the first chaste one yes. Because for how much he wanted to prove him wrong, deep down he wanted to woo gently and a bit seductively Atsuya, not rushing things like he’d usually do...
Who kisses the other awake in the morningThey’re both grumpy sleeping in guys, so whoever opens eyes first can either decide to pepper kiss the other’s face OR to just stare in awe watching the other sleep~
Who starts tickle fightsFingers are Atsuya’s weapon, he tackles Hiroto down and get his revenge for the chestnut pudding that scarface stole 😤
Who asks who if they can join the other in the showerIt’s usually Atsuya despite the initial embarrass, and Hiroto accepts and lets him in wide eyed every time. And those are the times is Atsuya who tries to seduct Hiroto 👀
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunchMmh probably Atsuya whenever he’s free? I think he asked Someoka some cooking advices and even if his stuff doesn’t look great like his, it tastes good and Hiroto dies internally because of the cute anxious faces Atsuya makes-
Who was nervous and shy on the first dateBOTH OMGS THEY WERE BOTH SO NERVOUS! Atsuya because he felt he had to beat all the other partners Hiroto ever had but he actually had no experience, while Hiroto was because he wanted for it to be perfect since, unknown to Atsuya, he never actually went to a date with someone he loved...
Who kills/takes out the spidersAtsuya. Hiroto just shrieks every time a spider gets at less than one meter from him and he’s lucky to have a mountain boyfriend with him~
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunkThey’re both very loud drunks and those are the moments they have no inhibitions so they go all out. It’s usually a competition to whom screams more loudly and angrily that they love the other!
HOPE YOU LIKED THESE ANSWERS!

x @frogopera I didn’t wanna spam your inbox so here’s a list of recs, there’s anime in there as well bsjskqjdrjejqjr anyone is open to reblog this tho idc think of it as my official rec list pff tf t if you have any triggers I’d be happy to go through and let you know if they have them
Bojack Horseman: you’ve possibly already seen this but I would do a disservice if I didn’t include it. It’s genuinely the best animated series I have ever had the joy of watching and the pinnacle of adult animation. It’s inclusive, smart, very heavy and bojack is…he the kind of main character you don’t wanna relate to but you will • tw for drug and alcohol abuse, mentions of and implications of child abuse, and homophobia (gay character is fired and contracts prostate cancer ), and slight pedophilia ( bojack almost drunkenly sleeps with a teenager, technically legal in that state and she was sober but ewe no to the shows credit it’s painted as a BAD thing )
Home: the adventures of oh and tipp it’s a 2d animated series based around the dreamworks movie and it’s actually incredibly cute fun decompression stuff • tw for transphobia I think? they make some jokes about the alien races genders and like…..I can’t tell if it’s a transphobic joke or trying to teach kids pronoun usage tbfh
The batman idk how you feel about superhero stuff but the batman is a pretty stylish and interesting take in batman mythos and the art style is that kind of awkward but captivating and interesting. it really stands out if that makes sense
my little pony: equestria girls movies: okay hear me out, they’re actually pretty good ( so is the show in my frank opinion but the movies are a good jumping on point ) the movies take place in a more human world and rainbow rocks is legitimately fucking awesome with kick ass music and they’re all S U P E R gay with butch lesbian supreme sunset shimmer
the tinker bell movies: they’re centered around a whole world of fairies and like I’m psure they might not be 2d animation but they’re honestly worth a watch, just pure and fun.
lolirock:
cute french based cartoon about three magical pop star princesses and it was the show everyone was excited about because there’s a black magical girl. it’s just super beautiful and sweet and bubblegum but it’ll get you in the heart too
Glitter force:
it’s one of the few precure anime we dubbed and it just …. it’s silly and kinda dumb but if you just want pure cotton candy and sparkles this is the anime for you. the main girl has a deep love of fairy tails and happy ever after like 💕💕
Winx:
again a little shallow seeming and the art style takes some getting used to but it’s a big organic world of magic and wonder that will draw you in and genuinely surprise you in some places
Horseland:
it’s a pretty diverse show about a bunch of young girls and their magic talking horses they don’t know can talk. it’s again more feel good kid stuff but it tackled native cultural appropriation and litterly called out the white girl wearing native headdress so it gets bonus points from me
the last unicorn:
*clutches chest* it’s just beautiful and amazing okay
justice League / justice League unlimited:
both fairly awesome superhero series that helped start the dcau and are just fucking brilliantly written and still hold up today
batman beyond:
this show is dated af and is about future batman in the fuuuture man sjjzjqjejriejr it’s super great though and is just a nice take on a young batman still balancing school and life
the goofy movie
just a really nice hilarious movie that gets a lot more on the nose the older you get plus I’m still not over Roxanes character design it’s really aces
Balto;
again a lot of my love for this movie comes from its animation but it’s a pretty heartwarming story about what someone can achieve for those they love
I’m sneaking in Wendy wu homecoming warrior despite it being live action because it’s an actually fascinating Disney movie with a really cool mythos and ACTUALLY HAS A PREDOMINANTLY ASIAN CAST go figure sjsjsjdje
Atlantis:
I have a deep love for this movie and it doesn’t get near the recognition it deserves. it subverts the damsel in distress trope without being patronizing about it. we get a lovable scrawny nerd that’s actually respectful of the cultures he studies and his goddess of a future wife and like it was a movie written by mostly white people that managed to portray a tribal element without seeming racist
lucha Libre and really cute oft forgotten cartoon about latinx children in training to become luchadors like their parents
ao no exorcist:
is a really intense anime with catholic themes that really goes deep into the concept of nature vs nurture and has a pretty gay coded protagonist and focuses more on his familial relationship with his brother and the strain it’s gone under vs his possible romances
ruroni Kenshin and samurai champloo are good old classic anime if you’re looking for that old school feudal Japan feeling and adventure and rag tag looser building a family
K is a pretty fascinating anime in that if I explained too much I’d ruin the fun of discovering it yourself tho hey more queer coding
detective conan is a fucking awesome mystery anime but at like eight billion episodes and counting I wouldn’t worry too much about it sjajhdejskkf
Karneval is a really cute and funny, pretty anime following a sweet amnesiac child as he joins the circus to find the one he loves, and yes more queer coding like haRD
yu yu hakusho:
literally my favorite anime ever in existence and I’ll just keep this short it follows a demon hunter as life continues to screw him over and he survives
assassination classroom:.
is actually a very weirdly heartwarming story about a bunch of kids tasked to assassinate their teacher ( I swear it’s weirder than it sounds ( but it’s definitely not a book to be judged by its cover
Majin tentai nogami neuro: is a very interesting and in depth murder mystery anime about a demon who literally eats mysteries and enlists the help of a human girl to open up a detective agency. warning tho shit gets DARK near the end
petshop of horrors:
this is an ova series so it’s just a couple episodes but it’s a hauntingly creepy and fun look and an eccentric pet shop owner that offers his clients … dubious pets that would be fine if these guys would just follow the rules of ownership he gives them
xxxholic:
again kind of a mystery anime but with far more magic and I’m pretty positive it’s canon one of the male characters is unrequitely in love with the main guy, and the art style is definitely an aquired taste but it’s worth it
death parade:
THIS SHIT GAVE ME A CRISIS OF SELF AFTER FINISHING IT, DO NOT LET TYE HAPPY INTRO FOOL YOU IT’S OUT FOR YOUR BLOOD AND TEARS YOU WILL FUCK CRY

Bookshelf Briefs 6/19/19
Anonymous Noise, Vol. 14 | By Ryoko Fukuyama | Viz Media – Well, that didn’t last long. In a series about the heroine singing in a band, when she can’t sing if she’s dating one of the guys she likes, it’s best to end it. Or at least that’s what Momo thinks, anyway. Time to see who wins the battle of self-sacrifices. Elsewhere, it’s dawning on the band that they need to think past high school, and Haruyoshi is waffling about the direction he wants to go next. I won’t spoil how this is resolved, but it’s sort of hilarious *and* touching. And of course there’s Nino’s part in all this, as she has to deal with a breakup as well, in addition to trying to find her voice—again. Anonymous Noise never seems to lack for things to happen, and it continues to putter along smoothly. – Sean Gaffney
Ao Haru Ride, Vol. 5 | By Io Sakisaka | Viz Media – Sadly, going to the festival turns out to not happen—again—as Kou is once again being drawn away from Futaba, this time because he’s trying to help a distant friend with personal problems. And also possibly because Futaba is hanging out and chatting with Toma, who’s handsome and nice and also has fallen head over heels for her, something Futaba realizes not one bit. And so much of this volume returns us to the halcyon days of Kou being avoidant and difficult. At least Futaba angsting over telling her friends about her feelings for Kou is quickly nipped in the bud. I do really like the reverse costume cafe they do. (They’re right; Murao does look amazing as a butler.) Will this cliffhanger affect anything? Oh, probably. – Sean Gaffney
Ao Haru Ride, Vol. 5 | By Io Sakisaka | VIZ Media – Futaba and Kou had gotten close to confessing their mutual feelings, and he even invited her again to the summer festival they didn’t get to attend in junior high. But then he suddenly cancels and is incommunicado for the rest of summer vacation. When school resumes, it seems he’s actually in good spirits, but is preoccupied with his phone. Eventually it emerges that he’s helping a former classmate get over the death of a parent, and though Futaba thinks this is admirable, she nonetheless feels left out. The fact that this classmate is female is obvious but is held as a reveal until the final page. Meanwhile, a male rival must be introduced too, and so we meet Toma Kikuchi, a boy who Futaba accidentally groped, who comes to like her after realizing she’s perceptive, honest, and not as tough as she might appear. Standard shoujo, but still enjoyable. – Michelle Smith
As Miss Beelzebub Likes, Vol. 6 | By Matoba | Yen Press – No one seems to be more surprised than the artist that this series has reached six volumes, which results in a meta gag when Azazel’s assistant Samyaza appears, and they note it’s far too late in the series to introduce someone like him. He bounces off Mullin well, though—perhaps a bit too well for Beelzebub’s taste, as she worries that they’re both too shippable with each other. Elsewhere, the exchange diary between Belphegor and Azazel is actually not a half-bad idea, but too many cooks spoil a bit of the pie. Unfortunately, there’s more Eurynome as well, and trying to indicate she’ll eventually be shipped with Samyaza does not balance out her continued lust for young boys. Read it if you already are. – Sean Gaffney
A Certain Scientific Accelerator, Vol. 9 | By Kazuma Kamachi and Arata Yamaji| Seven Seas – As it turns out, the girl that Last Order ran into in the previous volume, despite giving off immense “I am a secret villain” vibes—mostly to Last Order, to be fair—turns out not to be a villain. She is, however, a twin, and it’s her sister who seems to have the villain card as well as the tragic past. It’s also startling to see the princess from the previous book captured fairly easily (possibly as Accelerator is healing so AWOL this book), and the cliffhanger, which involves repeated use of the food/death metaphors that litter the book, is really chilling. That said, if there’s one thing that defines this volume of the series, it’s the big ol’ fight in the middle of it, which is very well done. – Sean Gaffney
Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction, Vol. 5 | By Inio Asano | Viz Media – I admit I avoided reading this for a while. I still expect it to end with everyone either dead or depressed. I mean, it’s Asano. But as always, when I finally started to read it it was fantastic. The art alone is a main reason to read this. Plus, now that everyone is in college, relationships are allowed to develop more naturally. Unfortunately, in both cases this may end up being a mistake. Oran has bonded with the alien in disguise, and hides him by saying he’s her boyfriend… something that may be coming true. As for Kadode, I was sort of hoping that graduation would mean the end of the crush on her teacher, but apparently it means there’s nothing standing in the way anymore. Will either girl find happiness before the end of humanity that continues to be implied here? – Sean Gaffney
My Solo Exchange Diary, Vol. 2 | By Nagata Kabi | Seven Seas – The sequel to My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness ends with the second volume; the conclusion of the series is just as achingly and brutally honest as its beginning. Kabi’s struggle with anxiety and depression continues through its highs and extreme lows. The success of her autobiographical manga ultimately compounds the issue for her as she starts to feel guilty about some of the things that she’s said about family members and has to deal with the consequences of revealing so much of herself to a public audience. A central portion of the second volume of My Solo Exchange Diary is devoted to Kabi’s stays in two different hospital wards—part of her ongoing efforts to get her life back on track. Due to the subject matter of My Solo Exchange Diary, the series isn’t always the easiest to read, but it is still an approachable, compelling, and noteworthy work. – Ash Brown
Queen’s Quality, Vol. 7 | By Kyousuke Motomi | Viz Media – We’re down to twice a year for this series now, the same as Japan, but it’s making those volumes count. We get lots of Fumi being awesome (toilet brush or no), lots of romantic sizzle between her and Kyutaro, overcoming self-loathing and doubt, and a whole lot of testicle jokes. In case you wondered what all the “golden ball” stuff was. The beauty of this artist is that she’s not afraid to have things get completely silly even in the middle of a dramatic fight, and alternatively have the silliest moments give way to drama. We also get a lot more insight into Kyutaro’s late parents here. But, and the cliffhanger doesn’t quite tell us, will someone finally realize that Fumi + Fuyu = Fuyumi? – Sean Gaffney
Ran the Peerless Beauty, Vol. 4 | By Ammitsu | Kodansha Comics (digital only) – Ran and Akira are now officially a couple, and this volume features milestones like calling each other by first names, going on a real first date, holding hands, and Christmas. While it cannot be denied that the plot is fairly formulaic at this point, there’s still something special about Ran the Peerless Beauty. Part of it, I think, is that we see just as much of Akira’s emotions as we do Ran’s, and it’s often the case that when she’s nervous or embarrassed or unsure, he confesses that he’s right there with her. Too, Ammitsu’s art is very expressive. I loved a particular smirk of Akira’s (after purloining a strawberry) very much but actually laughed out loud at the panel in which her father finally comprehends that Akira is Ran’s boyfriend. I hope this one gets a print release so it might reach a wider audience. – Michelle Smith
Sweetness & Lightning, Vol. 12 | By Gido Amagakure | Kodansha Comics – I wasn’t prepared for the final volume of Sweetness & Lightning to make me verklempt, but that’s because I didn’t know the final chapter would see Tsumugi going off to college in Hokkaido. Before this, we got a sequence of chapters with Tsumugi at various ages, where we see her growing in independence and culinary skill. And, finally, heading out to experience life on her own. It’s very nice! Too, I really appreciated that nothing about the finale hinges on whether Inuzuka and Kotori might get together now that she’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 30. It’s clear that Tsumugi would like that, but to the end, this is the story of a father and daughter and how they have stuck together after the loss of someone they love. I enjoyed it very much. – Michelle Smith
Takane & Hana, Vol. 9 | By Yuki Shiwasu | VIZ Media – I know it’s contrived and rather over-the-top, but the meddling chairman forcing his grandson and the Nonomura family to live together really works for me. In order to convince Takane to go along with it, Hana has to honestly confess that she wants to live with him, something she later reiterates to Okamon, who is very worried about her whole situation and finally ends up confessing. I’m not sure Hana and Takane are really getting closer—for every sweet study session there’s a misguided, extravagant bedroom redecoration—but the whole setup does at least put a fresh spin on their arrangement and provides, in the chairman’s words, “a place for you two to become certain about each other.” This series continues to be a lot of fun. – Michelle Smith
