Originally, I was just going to do a few doodles of my pikachu PMD hero Ryan, but things got out of hand... again...

(*Ali is fine... probably...)

The personality I have for Ryan is somewhat vague, but I imagine him to be someone who is confident in himself and isn't shy about saying what's on his mind, but who also has the tendency to be rash and let his anger get the best of him (can be easily goaded into a fight and overestimate his abilities). Although, having amnesia doesn't seem to bother him as much as one might expect.

Ryan is more likely to do dumb or goofy stuff when he and Ali are together and he and Ali become a little chaotic duo (Ryan has more restraint of the two. Ali tends to let her curiosity get the better of her common sense).

Folks should be mindful when engaging with Black creator's OCs through appreciation type stuff (gifts of fanart/fanfic/etc).

If you're unsure if you're capturing the essence/appearance/personality of their OC, ASK!

I understand wanting to surprise a creator with a gift because you want to show your appreciation for their OC. But that gift is harmful when the creator sees you've whitewashed their OC or applied stereotypes or tropes that aren't a part of the character.

When in doubt, ask

#i havent drawn them in a while ^_^ changed their hanfu a little so they only really wear the top half #and the leg shape as well.. i used doll joints in the past just so it wouldnt bother me drawing their leg bending but at this point idc #the red parts on their hanfu are meant to kinda visually mirror sailor's red rope.. something something bound by fate #and i opted for a ginkgo pattern this time around since i think its suits them better. coincidentally ginkgo also has medicinal properties #and i kept the marking frm when zah drew them because it really is such a nice touch that i wanna keep it in their design :)#and if we're going off the idea of sailor bringing them clothes to wear as souvenirs id bet he picked that pattern out since it #reminded him of xin lol. you can also see they have a little fish charm as their jin bu (sailor has a matching one)#they are so friends to me... i love them sm #still need to update their page a little since i overhauled some of their lore.. theres a whole slidedeck and everything lol #my art #myart #my oc #myoc #oc #xin ya #lmk #lmk oc #lego monkie kid oc #ref sheet #oc ref sheet #oc reference sheet #fur #furry art #furry

Thinking about @gehtsis’s children and how terrifying it would be to get their team assigned to help you escape from a mystery dungeon.

If these are what my heroes look like I'm 99% certain I'd be screaming and running the other way. Menacing cryptid-looking grim reaper and cursed psychic clay doll. I love them.

#I know you said to go wild with their designs while drawing these two in the post formally introducing them #but I loved Erida’s design as you’ve drawn her too much to take many liberties with her #Gaia meanwhile got scarring on her arms that i hc is from her using Hyper Beam with a tad too much zest while defending Erida #and vaguely eyelash-like markings (I enjoy the idea of Gaia basically having the PMD equivalent of Adonis-level attractiveness---#--- like. she's looks like she's chiseled by a master sculptor who was in the mood to give everyone on earth the most lamentable crushes---#--- and I thought it would be funny to give her eyelash-resembling markings as a bit of goofy humor bc of how funny it'd be to---#--- pair this trait up with a bishie sparkle effect.#The bishie sparkle gag specifically needs to have Erida in the bg looking like she hasn't slept a full 8 hours in her life imho.)#On another note Gehtsis did you see the Ultra Sun pokedex entry for claydol???#“If it gets wet its body melts.
