Rebecca for the ask thing

also asked by @justine-moritz​ , this is purely based off the musical version, in particular i’m normally always basing my opinions off Christina Patten as Ich, Jan Ammann as Maxim de Winter and Pia Dowues as Mrs Danvers.

who I’m most like: another combo. shy and anxious and worried about what other’s think of me and if they’re staring and if i’m good enough, just like ich. but maxim worries too much about what other people think too, and i can very much relate to going through emotional abuse from a lady who to the public seems charming and lovely and perfect but in private treats you horribly and you can’t tell anyone because no one would believe you. that’s probably tmi.

who I admire most: ich. being able to get to the point where she can stand and look people in the eye without cowering, without glancing away or playing with her hands. i’d love to be there some day.

who I hate: slimy bastard favell is beaten only by rebecca. hm maybe they’re equal in my eyes. i know a lot of people like imagining rebecca was nice or perhaps had a relationship with danvers or maxim is lying, but the way she treated ben wasn’t a lie. and i don’t believe maxim is lying.

who is my baby: i would protect jan amman’s maxin de winter with my life. his kein lachen is the most heartbreaking of any performance, thomas borchert and uwe kroger i could see people having doubts about him, but jan’s maxim is crying and shaking and having an anxiety attack and at the end of the song when he falls to the ground i just want to hold him. i do not condone his anger issues, but i understand why he would panic at the slightest idea of anyone asking him about rebecca when she abused him and is also trying to keep a terrible secret. i do adore danny though, but so does everyone in the fandom. i’ll just be over here in my maxim de winter stan corner. phoenix it’ll just be a tiny corner with you and me.

who I’d like to date: maxim needs therapy more than a date but i’m not a therapist so i guess i can only offer him hugs and kisses.

who I’d hook up with: danny is losing her mind and realistically might not be able to commit to anyone without always talking about rebecca but god do i love her and boy am i attracted to pia douwes. i’d honestly put her in date if i was idealistically being like i want her to move on from this manipulative dead woman and be with someone who can love her back, but i think about canon danny that might not be an option. but who cares i can have my au where she gets some love.

what I ship in the fandom: ich/maxim. danvich (danvers/ich). i’m not a rebecca/danvers shipper, but i have no problems with others shipping it
