my favorite underrated vocaloid songs once again with commentary. i dont know how underrated things actually are bc i dont interact with the vocaloid community but yknow how it is
the goat. i have never seen anybody talk about this song ever. the mv has so little views and half the streams on spotify are probably me. the songs about an abused child begging to be loved so beware if you search the mv or lyrics up.
i just realized both these songs were by tohru-ch. they make good songs! another underrated classic. the mv is sick if you manage to find it. this producer is a rin master in my opinion. this song is about how bad capitalism is and the vocals are amazing. nandemo nandemo nandemo. the desperation they managed to infuse into rins voice is so impressive and the guitar is impressive. ive been listening to this song since a very young age like ten. why was i listening to this at ten. piano goes crazy as well
i owe this one to the ex mutual who made a playlist for my fanfic and eventually blocked me. thank you for this absolute banger. i forget what the lyrics to this one mean and the mv isnt much its just kinda green stuff. goes exceptionally hard i cant tell whos singing but its still fantastic. i love the guitar that kinda sounds like rubber bands strapped to cardboard. that sounds weird but listen youll see.
i dont think this ones actually underrated since pinas pretty popular (rats died is too famous for me to put on here even though its a masterpiece). when i saw melissa covered it i died and ascended to heaven. the mv is fantastical and dizzying, and the song is perfectly melancholic. i really like the ooo singing in the background. i have had this song on repeat for an excessively long period. im very surprised it wasnt in my wrapped top five. saa saa saa saa saa saa
yummy music. it makes me do the dance of the sidestep in that one gif with ariel and other things. the wind instrument in it is really nice an the guitar is kicking. i just love rin and len i think. why are these all rin. except weeny idk who sings weeny. woukdnt be surprised if it was rin
i wouldnt call powapowas music underrated but this song has made me cry many a time. i prefer the version i found on soundcloud it has more of a miku sound but this song makes me want to get a lobotomy. young girl a is also a good one but no way is that underrated
HOLY SHIT its on spotify. god i need a dance break but i cant. ow i bobbed my head so hard it hurt. one of my faves of all time god its so good. i love you gumi. YOU NO SAY I LOVE!!!!!!!! i dont know how to express my thoughts further it just bangs so fucking hard. just as a btw it speeds up at the end which can be scary so heads up
i dont think this one is actually underrated im going by no metrics this list is just my opinion. it may not be underrated but it slaps and i played it on loop when i was in seventh grade and playing overwatch. not the best gaming music it just makes you really sad
banger. i love teto soooo much. somewhat peppy until you read the lyrics but even still its a tad melancholic. be warned the bleeps in the song are rlly loud lol. get this in project sekai so ome of those trainwrecks can sing it
probably not underrated it seems too well produced for that. i like the laughs at the beginning. i cant remember where but i laid on the floor for a long time listening to this song
ok thats all the bangers on my playlists ive never heard talked about often. i have others but sometimes i can genuinely not tell if its a vocaloid or a human. its an issue

(long, very sorry!)
i finished the fate route!!!! i couldnt finish it friday and i couldnt play saturday, so i took longer than i would have preferred;;; i think i have strong feelings abt it? this may be a situation where in two and a half hours i send another ask saying "i was stupid this is what i really think"
i think that, for one, what i Wanted is like, a happy ending where saber and tohsaka and emiya and everybody all live together happy endings yknow - but i think, while i dont know abt the other two routes, that Doesnt Fit This One! i think the emphasis on how arturias end goal isnt morally bad wouldnt have hit as well / at all if it ended with her happily living with shirou
as well: EMIYA IS,,,, WAYYYYY BETTER. in the beginning i was actually DREADING having to play 60 hours or whatever of this guy but he is way better way fast, and i actively liked him by the ending
arturia is really well written too!!!! my like,,, big fear is that. maybe some of the characterization she got in this route will be tossed aside in the others where she is not the only focus? i really hope thats not the case but im a bit worried
illya, tohsaka, and sakura the most didnt get very much, and it was kind of deadly for sakura. again this might be a situation where the only solution is to finish the game, but sakura at the moment comes off as mildly annoying at best and im just waiting for her to get more
gilgamesh ruled, fantastic villain! this is me cheating a little bit using knowledge i had previously, But. im relatively confident that archer will get more to do in the tohsaka route, ofc, and in the sakura route like. i dont know how to describe it, but i think she basically goes insane and kills people? like i think shes a tornado im honestly not sure
part of me wishes that they stuck to the horror side that we saw with the coffins near the end? i want more of that Tone, and you said a while ago that like. each route Felt Like Another Game, so part of me is hoping that i get that in blade works or heavens feel (im not sure which is first)
to be more succinct: i really liked the ending, and i think they did a really good job of making me like shirou and arturia, who are ofc the most important people to like in this route. my biggest fear is that it wont give arturia as much to do in the tohsaka route, and i really hope we get huge tone changes as well - more of the scary bits!
im gonna go through the bad ends now - i dont think there will be TOO much super interesting stuff, but i thought the few tiger dojos were cute and i love fujimura so
ty for posting abt this game often enough i played it!!! its a huge fucking blast - sorry for sending such a long ask, again!
first and foremost, MAJOR congratulations! having finished Fate route, you've officially had An Experience that you literally can't currently have any other way (not even in a pretentious vn fan way, but in the sense that the deen adaptation makes a lot up and mixes in other routes, so the full vn story is literally only possible to experience this way!)
the framing of the final scabbard scene is one of those things that's like, absolutely a "you've gotta see it to believe it"
anyway I'll keep my reply brief because I'm gonna reassure you a lot at once and don't wanna spoil anything too specific, but the next few routes absolutely play off the characterization you've seen so far and use it to allow the main cast to develop faster, and then deeper as they progress into further exploration. so while not quite a sequel, expect Saber, Shirou, Rin, et al to experience growth moments sooner to the point where each following route feels like a sequel more than a reversion to zero
also, rest assured that horror is on its way. nasu just likes to tease the full scope of how bad things are in early routes
so glad you get to enjoy it (relatively, given how impossible a true blind read is haha) with fresh eyes! enjoy UBW when you get around to it; it's raw shounen glory, and honestly holds up so well it could've been written today
also, food for thought, notice that shirou's role in the story is actually best described as "heroine" and would traditionally be filled by a female character. just a neat little subversion that's half a product of fate originally being an otome on first draft and half a product of nasu's genuine interest in playing with themes of gender

warrior cats as vocaloids (and occasionally other vocal synths)
so uhhh i was watching a bunch of moonkittis “warrior cats as __” videos and bc i am autistic and have warrior cats AND vocaloid as a Special Interest i decided “hmmm what if.....warriors as vocaloids” so!! thats what im gonna be doing. moonkitti if u make a video w the same premise (which i highly doubt) u owe me $2000000 /j
also uhhh im only doing cats from arcs ive read, which are tpb, tnp, po3, oots, and (most of) avos. so no dotc or tbc characters unfortunately
firestar - hatsune miku. this one is pretty obvious. firestar is The Warrior Cat. miku is The Vocaloid. It Just Makes Sense
graystripe - kasane teto. now i KNOW teto isnt a vocaloid but idc graystripe would be teto bc shes silly and often associated w miku
ravenpaw - avanna. bc idk. actually yknow what im not gonna provide explanations for all of these that would take too long LOL
bluestar - meiko
tigerstar - big al. sorry
yellowfang - sachiko
cinderpelt - xin hua
spottedleaf - megurine luka. as much as i hate to say it bc luka is one of my fav vocaloids and spottedleaf is one of my least favorite characters.....spottedleaf is often described as being very VERY beautiful in universe and well. i think luka is very very beautiful. so unfortunately one of my fav vocas has been kin assigned to one of my most despised cats :(
sandstorm - akita neru. a fanloid but still fitting imo
cloudtail - gachapoid. sorry
brightheart - oliver
longtail - yohioloid
darkstripe - tonio. sorry
scourge - utatane piko
bramblestar - arsloid
squirrelflight - nekomura iroha
leafpool - chika
feathertail and stormfur - kagamine rin and len
tawnypelt - ia
crowfeather - yowane haku
hawkfrost - yuezheng longya
mothwing - yuezheng ling
ashfur - fukase
lionblaze - kaito
jayfeather - yuzuki yukari
hollyleaf - gumi. bc i kin them both
cinderheart - lily. bc gumi/lily is one of my comfort ships and so is hollycinder
breezepelt - zhiyu moke
sol - solaria (synthv). im sorry i had to make the pun
rock - ibm 7094. aka the first ever computer to sing. bc hes an old ass man
fallen leaves - hibiki lui
half moon - galaco
dovewing - aoki lapis
ivypool - merli
tigerheart - hiyama kiyoteru
flametail - xingchen/stardust
dawnpelt - akikoloid-chan
blossomfall - sonika
briarlight - mo qingxian
bumblestripe - kevin. as in. the synthv. kevin. simply bc i think its funny
mapleshade - mayu
alderheart - dex
sparkpelt - daina
twigbranch and violetshine - meika hime and mikoto
needletail - ruby
sleekwhisker - cul
darktail - kaai yuki. bc i think its funny
onestar - otomachi una. bc i think its funny
rowanclaw - seeu. bc i think its funny
leafstar - kokone
hawkwing - kamui gakupo
tree - tree. as in. the utau. yes there is literally an utauloid that is just a tree
ANYWAY thats all for now but i may add more if i get Inspiration. i hope u enjoyed this extremely specific crossover brought to u by: my autism

so first off, i fucking loved the war arc. holy shit, that was so good- nagato and itachi seeing naruto? absolute banger. sasuke and itachi meeting up and fighting kabuto? holy fuck that was good. naruto and kurama becoming friends and fighting hoes? yessssssss that shit was so amazing. also, i didnt hate the orochimaru redemption, shockingly. there was good build up, and he wasnt completely irredeemable to start with anyways, so i think his redemption was pretty okay. i really really liked the reanimation aspect, but i wish they had delved into that a bit deeper (cough cough none of it made me cry besides itachi, so im a bit dissatisfied).
i think for the most part, aside from reanimated madara completely slaughtering the army at the very beginning, i was super unsatisfied with the fight scenes. they always seemed to be lackluster? like instead of showing us more hand to hand combat (which is the most satisfying fighting animation to watch in my opinion), they just replaced it by showing a bigger, more powerful jutsu. personally, it left me craving more, and wishing they hadnt just given us giant, slow moving beings like nine tails mode and susanoo to cover up the fact that there wasnt any high paced hand to hand. theres also so much more emotion you can put into hand to hand combat compared to big scaled fights, so the big fights kinda just left me feeling empty.
back on to some positives, i absolutely loved the kakashi and obito arc. it was so good, and so moving??? like seeing the flashbacks to rin's face whenever she was being killed hurt in the best way possible. seeing kakashi's determined yet sorrowful expression was so :cri:, yknow? and then obito's heartbroken look, the way his face crinkled and completely broke was gut wrenching. i think, as a whole, what they did with obito was great. do i think they dragged on his death (he was set to die like three times before he actually did, so the shock factor really lost value after awhile, which was annoying) for way too long and could have resolved that shit a lot sooner? absolutely. did it still hurt to watch him die? absolutely. he was a good character, and watching him be reunited with rin did make me tear up quite a bit.
now onto kurama and naruto. holy fuck. it was amazing. its basically what i want to happen between itadori and sukuna in jjk (which probably isnt going to happen considering certain events in the manga, but i digress), which made me so so happy. they're really great for one another, and i really really hope i can find an au where they become friends a lot earlier on (like when naruto is a kid) so that i can get some "giant fox demon raises five year old child bc no one else is there to do it". like thats such a good concept and i want to read it immediately.
now. madara. i have a lot of thoughts on his arc, as well as obito and kaguya's. i felt like everything after obito becoming the jinchuriki/sage of the six paths was kinda underwhelming? like in the battle/war sense of it? like dont get me wrong, i loved obito's arc as a character, i just feel like everything that happened after he got sage of the six paths powers was kinda shit (again, in the war aspect). especially in the sense of the progression. first we have "madara" (whos really obito), then we get the actual, reanimated madara, then the obito reveal, then six paths obito, then six paths madara, then black zetsu actually being kaguya's child/will, and THEN we get kaguya, who was the mastermind behind everything. OH, AND LETS NOT FORGET SASUKE'S LITTLE REBELLION. like cmon man, you cant just pull a new antagonist out of your ass right as things are about to get resolved/the antagonist from before is about to lose.
the pacing got really weird after while, and it kinda just got boring to watch up until sasuke and naruto's fight (which ill be getting to in a second). i kinda wish the whole kaguya thing didnt happen, because it made the story take a much more sci-fi aspect that was kinda weird considering what naruto as a series is. like cmon man, kaguya's a fucking alien? is that really the best you could do? it would have been cooler if they had made her an actual god, and have idolization similar to the six paths. i would have been able to get on board with that, but instead you made her a chakra alien who can go between dimensions. i also thought her characterization was weird as fuck?? she was so fucking weird, which i guess was the point, but it still feels extremely out of place in this show.
now onto the big boy topic: naruto and sasuke's fight.
the whole "rebellion" thing felt so fucking stupid. it seemed like there was no build up, and they were just pulling it out of fucking no where. like yes, they did establish the whole "sasuke becoming hokage" beforehand, but how the fuck was that supposed to equate to him killing a ton of people and the tailed beasts so that he can "become the center of everyones hatred". like yes, we know itachi left you with more than one complex, but that doesnt mean you can just killed people broski. like that just felt super weird to me. that whole transition was so weird.
that being said, it did get us to the fight. and my opinion on said fight was that it was cool. kinda. im going to be comparing it to their first fight back in naruto part one a lot, so be prepared for that. they went pretty hard on the hand to hand combat, which i really fucking appreciate. it was really cool to see, and it made the fight much more enjoyable to watch. on the other hand, i could have gone without a lot of the fighting with them in their kyuubi and susanoo forms. that kind of fighting always feels very impersonal, which is the complete opposite of what this fight was supposed to be, im sure.
ofc, that wasnt the whole fight.
i liked how there was a chunk of it that didnt have any music. it made it hit so much fucking harder. like the scene with them in the river, punching at each other while being completely exhausted and unable to do anything else was so good. that had an impact, and thats exactly what i wanted from this fight. in conclusion, the fight itself was great. now lets get into what happens after the fight, when they're both without an arm.
while the fight left something to be desired, the scene afterwards was so good. so fucking good. i loved it so much. they're going through their memories of each other, finally being honest, and finally getting through to one another. it was beautiful, and brilliant.
the moment that sasuke realizes that naruto is the only one who never gave up on him, the only one who didnt leave, was so good. the animation was so smooth, and his expression of guilt and understanding and complete loss was unparalleled. that was the most emotion i have ever seen on his face, and it was so worth it. watching over 400+ episodes of this 2000's anime about fucking ninjas was worth it, solely to see sasuke finally acknowledge naruto.
my final thoughts: the naruto and sasuke fight was obviously the best part of this and i will take no criticism. the build up for the whole arc was weird tho, and the pacing was also kinda fucky, but it was still satisfying to see sasuke finally acknowledge him.

i know arc v is long over and the synchro arc was like a fever dream we wanna pretend never happened but i keep thinking of ways that would improve it at least slightly (cause yknow. cant fix it. also its just SO VERY BAD i want it to be a bit better) and 2 have rly stuck w me
1. crow adopted yugo and rin. this is good for explaining why crow REALLY decided to rescue and keep him (yeah i get that he likes kids and all but like. it feels a bit contrived and also he never asks where their actual house is at any point and does a lot to help them???? fsr???? AGAIN I GET HES KIND BUT ALSO NO DAMN MONEY). also a good explanation of how yugo knew how to build a working bike cause just “library books” is a bit. i mean its cute but weird. additional pros to this are “YUGO JA NE” jokes but this time its yuya saying them and i think it would be rly funny and endearing
“but then how are yugo and yuzu gonna go home??? to change??? n stuff??? why wouldnt they just head straight there?????”
easy: yugo is on the run from the cops and doesnt wanna get his dad arrested (again) so they fuck around the city. eventually they end up (along w everyone not w crow) in underground dueling. someone there tells crow yugo and rin are ACTUALLY dueling underground and crow is confused???? and they all go there. its a wild arc that we get instead of the prison arc. speaking of which...
2. no prison arc. nope. NO. none. absolutely not. its really contrived, and weird, and raises more fucking questions than answers. in fact it doesnt do anything from a narrative standpoint but introduce chojiro and that could have been done WAY better. it doesnt actually answer ANYTHING about markers, doesnt give us any information about the dimension and setting (unlike 5ds did), doesnt create new dynamics, and doesnt tell us anything new about the existing characters. its just there bc 5ds had a prison. its just there bc they couldnt think of a way to force them all into the big ass tournament.
instead chojiro could be introduced as some jaded card hoarder who was arrested previously, and released. he isnt kind anymore nor focuses on happiness, instead he pumps up audiences for violence. yuya must learn to deal w his zarc powers despite ppl throwing shit at him (unlike his duel w kachidoki), and everyone else must ALSO learn how d-wheels work. then after winning over chojiro yuya and several other characters decide of their own accord to sign up for the friendship cup. yuya probably wants to show the dimension violence still isnt the answer. and if we’re doing this weird as theme i wanna see yuya WORK for it and work for it despite his powers n impulses. cause if i am gonna see him convince a dimension of ppl enforcing 99% poverty levels and human slavery simply ‘violence isnt the answer’ DAMMIT I WANNA SEE SOME ACTUAL CHARACTER GROWTH AND EFFORT ON HIS PART!
also like smaller detail dont have a million characters. in the tournament. i know it was to fill up time but like. dont do that. cut out everyone except the cyborg dude, yuya, yuzu, yugo, rin, serena, shingo, shun, gon, dennis, and crow. maybe 1 other person but this is already TOO MANY PPL. also duels in this arc need to have a LOT of content and no one locked in any fucking rooms bc the show doesnt even FUCKING STICK W IT WE SEE OTHER PPL CHANGING ROOMS SOMETIMES AND ITS SO FUCKING STUPID JUST GIVE THEM FULL FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT!!!!
