jesus christ. the amount of posts i’m seeing lately about the despair writers/musicians/etc feel nowadays because everything is based on tiktok and algorithms and going viral and appealing to the masses. it is so disheartening.

i put it on the back burner for a bit while i thought about it but i definitely want to move forward with the server (and, tbh, the collective, because it might turn into more than a server — might add a website, forum, etc) where it’s just all about spreading our passion projects. saying “hey, i made something” and not being met with silence. saying “hey, i made something” and having people care and having them go and read/listen/etc and spread it. having them hype up the things you spent time and energy on.

because this shit has to stop. having to beg for people to care about things you poured your soul into. feeling like the lowest of the low when you spend all this time on something and no one gives a shit about it. it’s unthinkable. this is how creativity and passion dies. we all need a hype man, and i want us to start being each others’ again.

i think i’m going to call it Left a Light On. like, maybe the world isn’t responding to this project you poured everything you are into. maybe it’s a fucking harsh and cruel place out there. but you’re going to have a place to come home to at the end of the day, where you can be sure someone is going to read/listen to/etc your thing and care about it. you can be sure that someone left a light on for you.

I just want to throw out a personal hc for me.

So, for Washington DC, one of my absolute favorite hcs for them is a) its alfred. Like, I hope I've made that clear in some of the text posts, but for me there is no way that our alfred (aph/hws America) is older than any of the states. He/they are in fact a child in the midst of ancient immortals, in my head. That dynamic alone is hilarious to me (both state wise and other capitals and countries). Also, tho, with being a child, DC is a gen-xer/gen-zer. Like, not age-wise, but definitely personality wise. Like this small person/being/individual was raised in a period of unprecedented technological/social/innovative evolutions from war tactics and strategies to technology and social patterns. Like, DC was born at the dawning of a new era and had to live with this dual consciousness (don't even get me started with this like this is a post all its own h~☆~o~☆~l~☆~y s~☆~h~☆~*~☆~t) of what was considered the 'norm' versus what they were growing into and what they believed. Lets also not forget that their entire childhood/adolescents was defined by having to acknowledge unprecedented exploitation and cruelty found in slavery, immigrants who weren't the ''''right'''' immigrants, the atrocious treatment and genocide of the nation's Indigenous peoples, and having to constantly live between his siblings, half of whom saw nothing wrong with any of this, while the other half saw only partial problems with the living conditions of its most vulnerable peoples. Also, the wars, battles, and constantly changing boundary lines, alliances (i wouldn't even call them friendships at this point), and the constant knowledge that your allies now could be your enemies later, would leave a helluva mark on a small individual coming to age in a period where being enlightened was a good thing, but only enlightened to a point.

Like imagine this 13/14 y/o staring up at his big sister (va), one of the states that had the largest hand in raising him and whom wash wanted to grow to be like, and trying to argue that, "if the south must rely so heavily on the exploitation of the enslaved, despite the founding principles that this nation sought to encapsulate, then maybe the south should not exist" and then being told (like that (tm)) that he was too young to fully understand the complicated web of social, economic, religious and every other possible narrative taught strands. How many gen-xers and gen-zers hear that line now? That line of, 'youre too young to understand' despite having stared down these historical evils and conscious choices their entire lives? How exhausted are they by continuously having to relive the same movements over and over again, about having to study the same movements, only to find out that the people they care about most and want to look up to the most have yet to fully learn and grasp the full consequences of ignoring their own history? Like hell if Wash is anything but a gen-z/gen-x personality trait. Imagine tho, this 17 y/o looking dumb@ss with a tiktok, filming some of the most dynamic videos like,

so i just watched a load of those nostalgic tik toks (with the up music playing over flashbacks to your childhood) and it really got me thinking about i much i really love all the other kids in my generation

gen z - the late 90s and early 2000s kids, we really all had such similar childhoods but ones which were so different to everyone before us. we were growing up as the internet was finding its place in the world and as technology was starting to move faster than ever - before it was overly commercialised

we watched skydoesminecraft and stampylongnose, played DSs, Wiis, PSPs - all new exciting concepts made a reality! creating lego masterpieces for hours and caring for our barbies and watching shows/cartoons that shaped our sense of humour and us as people. it was amazing! - i like to think of us as the first "future babies" (maybe that's dumb but whatever)

but looking at it today, with today's children it's like looking at a warped version of our childhood. the internet has become a dangerous, dangerous place with sites like youtube trying to stamp out wholesome creators, instead pushing forward clickbait channels with manipulative intentions (the pauls). video games becoming more toxic and cheaply made as big-time companies (bethesda) pump out games in the hopes of a few euro. tv shows and films being remade, rebooted and given sequels with little thought or effort (ALADDIN) and as all this shitty content is shoved down this generation's necks i feel they're growing up too fast - boys as young as 6 saying that they're going to "plough (their teacher) into next week" and little girls trying to look older and over-sharing on social medias they don't truly understand the dangers of

We gotta mind the younger generation bc they're the first living in this new world of dangerous and toxic media - i want them to be able to enjoy the magic of technology with the same innocence we had

Us, we're all hitting that age now where we realise our childhood really is gone and we'll never get the same experience of hiding the ds under your pillow at night or meeting your dog for the first time - simpler times with no worries. playing minecraft with your friends after school or meeting them on your bike somewhere - i just fucking miss it and if i do it today it's not the same

ok but recap > 2020-2021 summer is shit like shit as FORK. i mean, my whole life has been shit, but i feel like everything just made sense at this age now and the realization just broke me apart. first of all i mean, my family is hardcore TOXIC, like seriously i’m supporting them to get a divorce but really it’s hard- mom just went “i hate you we’re breaking up! ... but i’m not getting a divorce because when u pass i want the inheritance!” last month & hasn’t been talking to dad because they’re playing the “whoever talks first loses” game. I have no better words to tell you but yeah the T word! i could make a long fat list about how much of a virgo my mom is & how much of an aries my dad is to my mom merp!!! my friends, i feel like i’m just losing them one by one bc i shove them off as usual and expect them to climb back to me but no the world apparently does not revolve around me! .... i never push people away though, or try to be distant. i just sometimes fomo myself from the fear of getting hurt or used but really, it’s hard to find friends who you can genuinely talk to and not feel like a bummer.

(TW) my fatass depended on puking mentally for my health. i guess i did for a month until mom found out because the SINK WAS CLOGGING. like fuck what in the chunk did i eat for it to even clog the hole?! see, this is why i don’t talk casually to my mom > she thought i was insane and actually really thought of sending me to a mental institution, im not kidding. but yeah once i tell anything personal to her, she’ll use it as a banter when she wants to scream at me which wow mother of the year! way to go!

self analysis: i cope by being past dependent or seeking attention just because maybe i can’t get through problems and choose to run from them, leaving lies everytime everywhere. / or maybe because i’ve always been told repeatedly that i’m never good enough or was not as good as her/him. i choose to lie to myself about this cruel world rather than exploring. am i scared or am i lonely? or am i just not ready to grow up? i hold to things and memories for so long and way too tight that, the bruises comfort me in ways that i didn’t accept letting go, or manipulating my way to grow old.

i’ve recently started reading this book “forgotten girl”. a true story about amnesia and second chances - NOT SAYING i have amnesia or whatsoever. naomi, the writer, had big dreams and yet ended up doing drugs to cope herself from stress and trauma, not realising herself formed heavy bipolar depression. WELL IM NOT #twinflames w her but i know how it feels to turn 16 and everything just feels like “mY life has been a liE!!!??” sighs. i’m just confused. i’ve always thought that life was so perfect where i could dodge whatever missing assessment there was and still able to swerve through college and finally get married or something! but in reality, the phrase “money doesn’t fall from the sky” really called me out this time.

i miss myself, how’d i lose myself to so much tangles of “be GEN Z”, separated culture, or wanting so quickly to get old. i do regret growing up, because then I’d have no idea that mom & dad were out of love, i’d still be hanging out with my primary friends and not pretending a personality to be in the society.

Now the air bag deployed in my truck, and all of the air bags deployed in her car. My Truck looks like it will probably be totaled the bumper is ruined, the hood is ruined, the headlight is broken, The door I had to practically pry open because it was stuck, Smoke started coming out of the truck headlight broken Paint, I think the radiator broke, etc.... etc... Both Vehicles had to be towed away. Saturday night I hit a big pothole and a few miles later my tire was completely flat and actually had holes big enough to stick a few fingers through. I took it to a tire repair shop and the rim was bent as a result of the tire going flat. They've found a replacement rim, but it doesn't match the other 3 on the car..
