im genuinely curious because like protection is not only to prevent getting preggers but also prevent spreading STD’s and like hmm just a thought on how people do it back in the day i guess hehe cause now im really conscious that both of me and my partner are clean i guess

yeah, that's the issue with that era i guess, bc stds weren't taken as seriously as now... people slept around a lot, there were so many brothels and orgies, so stds were definitely not a rarity i think. we'll just pretend c&f jk is clean bc plot convenience LOL but yeah, that's definitely something to consider in general. it's one of the first things i ask partners i sleep with, too, like everyone should !!
