UTDP/Summer Camp: Komaru Naegi

in-game info from v3's UTDP Mode and Danganronpa S: Summer Camp AU, for fanart/fanfic inspiration etc. note that this is a "nice" universe where v3 goes to Hope's Peak and Junko never Junko'd.

KOMARU INSIGHTS:

Gets to go to the Hope's Peak VR Summer Camp because, according to the Monokubs, one part of the Camp's goal is to see the effect of "broader socialization" on talent development (Summer Camp, Prologue)

"I feel super out of place next to all these crazy talented people." (Summer Camp, Komaru's Introduction)

"I'd never thought about hope before. It seemed too big for me. But it turns out I have some too." (Summer Camp, Komaru's Hope Fragment)

Learns to juggle for the Summer Festival (Summer Camp, Komaru's Summer Festival)

Still has her ghost sight ability in this universe (Summer Camp, Korekiyo's With Swimsuits)

Makes an outline of the manga she wants to write while at the camp (Summer Camp, Toko's My Future)

Has been studying for entrance exams, as well as looking up universities and vocational schools (Summer Camp, My Future)

CONJECTURE: Komaru still wears the St. Koa Girls Academy uniform in this universe, so we can likely assume she's actually attending the school of her dreams and they couldn't just redraw her due to budget constraints. Good for her, good for her

KOMARU & OTHERS:

In this universe, Komaru is still best friends with Toko, as well as Genocide Jack. They met on a field trip to Towa City (Summer Camp, Prologue) + (UTDP, Toko's Sports Festival 1 Japanese vers) + others

This AU Towa City field trip seems to still have involved pretty much all the characters from UDG, like Byakuya, the Warriors of Hope, Hiroko Hagakure, and even Shirokuma (Summer Camp, Prologue)

Komaru mistakes Impostor for the real Byakuya at first, thinking he got a haircut (Summer Camp, Prologue)

Summer Camp is Komaru's first "trip" with Toko, and she's hella excited about it, though Toko is still getting used to having a friend (Summer Camp, Toko & Komaru) + (Summer Camp, With Swimsuits)

[Genocide Jack:] "At our wedding, my White Knight will be on my arm while you give the maid of honor's speech." (Summer Camp, Genocide Jack's With Swimsuits)

Whatever you do, do not imagine Orym showing Fearne and Dorian around Zephra while the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Do not imagine Orym watching Dorian, his eyes the same shade as the sky, his dark hair, skin and clothes contrasting beautifully with the delicate pink flowers. Do not imagine the wind picking up, blowing flowers and petals that gently settle into Dorian's hair. Do not imagine Orym with that memory as he druidcrafts a flower into Dorian's hair. Do not imagine any of that!
