shinsou blinks, willing his love-stupid brain to believe his ears. he opens his mouth to speak, then closes it. he turns his head to the side, his hand drawing to the nape of his neck as he glances at you sheepishly.

he lets the silence linger until he makes up his mind. he clears his throat with a determined stareー why back out now? he's wanted this for so long.

"hey." he croaks, "i'm going to kiss you."

shouto pulls away and smiles. you clear your throat.

This Drabble created when I realised that most of Dean’s songs that he makes love to in the earlier seasons are from bad company so I like to think he has a band that is his go to.

albedo, xiao (seperate) x gn!reader — implied modern au

Albedo is the perfect househusband. If kaeya is the menace and diluc is the gentleman, then albedo is the most perfect amongst them. He’s just perfect and materialize for all errands. He might be a bit of a mess sometimes but trust me, his responsibility about being househusband (and an alchemist, obviously) are his number one prior.

as a husband albedo has his own..schedule. In fact he has make several of drabbles—schedules for his day as both an alchemist and a househusband. Even if the schedule was messy, he managed to make everything works in time. He would either be very punctual or very disastrous by the time you saw him working. Yes it worries you but seeing him so worked up for his lover sake just make the household feels too lovely to be true. Also please do give him pecks on the cheeks whenever you saw him so overworked..like please? It would calm him for a bit and it would just make his smile softened to a tiny lines of happiness. Trust me, he would absolutely love it. Especially when you kisses him for an appreciation, oh god he would definitely loves you even more than before.

A good admirable cook. He always make the best lunch, different from kaeya who would cook you questionable variants of lunch..albedo is more of a predictable cook. If he cooks you some skewers of chicken mushroom for lunch and so for the night he would cook you sweet-madame. It’s just very balance. Not to mention he would always make it 2 times healthier with his alchemical recipe (it’s safe so don’t worry), so you wouldn’t need to worry about having diarrhea cause you probably wouldn’t have one either way. albedo is just simply wonderful.

exhausted after work? No problem. Albedo is here to soothes you to a deep sleep while giving you a doses of appreciation. He would read you his newest alchemical recipe with a very low-tone voice; which make you feel as if you’re falling to a wonderland. his voice are very calming and relaxing after all, it is natural for you to fall asleep in his bare arms while snuggling to the open part of his neck and his torso.

albedo would always put you into a warm comfortable blanket whenever you accidentally slept in his arms. He would kisses you on the cheeks, saying “goodnight” or “lovely” to your sight. it would unconsciously fluttered your face. Spending time with you are his favorite hours. Househusband or so, he’ll always be by your side to help you with chores or works. Albedo is a perfect man, nobody could ever loved you the same as he did.

Xiao is the protective husband. He would be very protective, like really protective. It’s not that you’re weak or such, what he worries about is your day. Would it go wrong? Would you be happy today? Would you have some great time with your co-workers? Would it be sunny today so you could have picnic with him tomorrow? And many more question leave him unanswered. being a househusband could make him overthink about your situation. Especially when you were both still are a new-wed, xiao has always stay beside you, making sure no one would harm you or ruined your days.

Xiao is not a great nor a bad cook, he could cook every liyue’s delicacy but..he just prefers not to cook? Except if it was for you. He would fucking cook everything just for you to be happy, he just never admit the fact he always wants the best for you. Even if you assume he wants the best, he would just disagree and saying it as if it was his own ‘responsibilities.’ A husband responsibility to satisfy his lover. He would give you treats if you have a bad day at works, his special delicacy, almond tofu and a light cuddles in arm to comfort your exhaustion. It melts you to a deep rest, xiao has always been the best comfort after all.

he actually bought you a cat for your marriage anniversary! It’s a white cat with a blue eyes, the clear clouds in the cat’s eyes resembles the sight of liyue’s beauty. Xiao is the one who took care of it when you’re not around, he always gave it some-few headpats everytime the cat did something quiet impressive; bringing the mouse plushies he threw to his side or just laying around in his laps. He loves it. Yes, as you expected, xiao really loves to pet it , he even took it as if it was his own child. Honestly the attention he gave to your cat are so wholesome, but sometimes you got ignored by him because he was to focused at your sleepy cat. He gave you warm embrace in bed so don’t worry love, your husband wouldn’t be steal by a cat.

He has a unique sleeping habit..? He always hold your palm whenever he felt lost. He’s not a person who sleep 24/7 so sleeping doesn’t make any sense for him sometimes; it’s hard and concerning. So when you were already in bed, he’ll try to snuggle onto your neck, whispering goodnight and laze each other hands together. In that position, he could feel your unending warm, as it also make him drown to a dreamless sleep.

Summary:

Iruma isn't used to being cared for, even in slight circumstance. Balam doesn't notice, but cares for him anyway.

"You're going to catch a cold in a moment, you know."

Iruma looked up at Balam Sicirue, his nose slightly runny and his cheeks red from the cold. He hadn't realized that the demon realm could experience seasons like the human realm did, but had realized quickly that yes, indeed it did, when the temperature had dropped suddenly just a few days ago. Regardless of the weather, though, he was only dressed in his school uniform and a light scarf.

He was shivering just a bit, but he didn't mind much. Had Asmodeus been here, he would have thrown a fit and tried to bundle Iruma up in more layers than even necessary, but, ironic given Balam-sensei's comment, Azz-kun was currently home sick. So Iruma was walking to Clara's on the way to school to pick her up.

Balam lived nearby, and joined up with the small boy just a bit ago. He was clad in a long overcoat that was made of some sort of wool-like material, and Balam had his long gloves hiked up over the sleeves in his usual fashion. A scarf was looped around his neck several times, striped charcoal grey and inky black in cascades over his shoulders. A matching thick but slouchy beanie hat sat on top of his head, and Iruma could only wonder if his neck and head were much colder compared to last year, back when his teacher had curtains of long and fluffy hair.

All and all, he looked very warm and cozy in what he was wearing, with a slightly sleepy yet worried expression plastered across his face.

"Oh! Don't worry, Balam-sensei. I'm fine until we get to school." He replied, pulling his scarf just a bit higher on his face. Balam just looked down at him, before moving to take off his coat.

It took Iruma just a moment to process what was happening, before his protests began. 

"Ah-! Wait! Balam-sensei, there's no need! I'm fine! I-"

He was enveloped in the giant coat. Balam was much larger than he was, in both height and build. Kalego-sensei was already much larger than Iruma, and Balam was even bigger than the grumpy demon teacher Iruma called his familiar.

It draped down over him, reaching far past his legs ever could, and would surely go dragging should they start walking again.

But he would admit, he was much warmer and much cozier now.

"You're cold, you just didn't want to admit it." Balam huffed gently, reaching up and giving Iruma's head a gentle pat. "Next time just ask. I'm big enough to take care of a cold before even getting symptoms easily."

Iruma blinked. "I'm not sure that's how illnesses work, Balam-sensei."

Balam chuckled slightly. "Oh they don't? Well, then they've never met me."

He let out a small gentle huff, before beaming down at Iruma. “Besides, it’s better for me to catch a cold than you.”

“Oh? Why is that?”

“No specific reason, other than I care about you too much to allow you to fall sick, even slightly.”

And on that note, Balam began walking again, leaving Iruma standing there for just a moment, surprised at what the man had said. 

The coat kept him warm as the breeze around him blew just a bit stronger, as he stared after the large demon man making his way towards Clara’s house without him. He was just slightly surprised at the situation that had just happened, not just because of the coat that rested gently on his shoulders and dragged across the ground below him, but because of the words Balam-sensei had spoken to him.

He had been worried that first day he had met Balam-sensei, concerned that all the rumors about him stealing students to experiment on them were true, or even that he would find out Iruma was human, and react badly regardless. He had felt the man was kind beneath his scary exterior, and wanted nothing more than to take care of creatures and people of all kinds to the best of his ability. So Iruma had blurted out to him that he was a human accidentally on that day, and from then on… 

Nothing had changed.

Balam-sensei had done nothing but treat Iruma with kindness, taking care of him where he could, and always looking down at Iruma with soft, and happy eyes. Willing to listen to whatever Iruma was speaking to him about with intent, and seemingly willing to do anything to ensure Iruma’s wellbeing. 

Iruma wasn’t used to hearing something so sweet as what Balam had said earlier, and between that and everything in the past, from an adult Iruma looked up to so much, both literally and figuratively no less, he couldn’t help but feel warmer inside at it. So when he began walking after his kind-hearted teacher again, slightly faster to catch up to him, he couldn’t help but let his face break out into quite the happy smile.
