Okok so my favourite artist of all time is gabrielle aplin & has been since I was likeee 11? 12? I've seen her live 3 times and met her in Jan 2020 she's so lovely 🥺 you could not ask me to pick a favourite song, I can't even pick a favourite album 😂 some favs include my mistake, what did you do, keep on walking, salvation, please don't say you love me, coming home, losing me, actually this is too hard its just all of them lmao I discovered her when I heard please don't say you love me for the first time and decided it was my new mega super favourite song and then realised she was the same person from the 2012 John Lewis Christmas advert who sang the power of love and I was like omg obsessed so I downloaded English rain (her debut album) and all her EPs and yea it's all gone from there I love her

I have a few favourite bands but my favourite is pvris ✨ everyone always complains thst white noise was their best album and the new stuff keeps getting worse but they're wrong every album has been even better than the last sorry white noise 🤣 I'm going to see them next year! :D I hope they play half bc it's my favourite but they probably won't :(

Other favourite bands areee against the current (fever is BANGING), green day (I wanted to see them live but it was like £60 for the furthest away ticket :| uno is an underrated and unfairly hated on masterpiece), my chemical romance (I miss them :( more mcr songs in tua pls), fall out boy (literally half of mania got into my Spotify wrapped so true of me), old p!atd/the young veins (Ryan ross <333), paramore (after laughter was a cultural reset) & they're p small and only have like 4 songs but Clementine <3 maybe I'm biased bc I know them personally but their EP fucks, also bring me the horizon but only like 2 albums (sempiternal and that's the spirit)

As for other solo artists I'm super obsessed w stromae and I'm so glad he dropped a new song right when we all needed him thank u king stream santé for clear skin and all that, also mika >>> man never misses, christina perri! I miss her, lovestrong was my age groups childhood. Adele!!! 21 is still the best album sorry 30.. ik I already said mcr but gerard way/hesitant alien = god tier, I am going 2 stop the running commentary now because this is getting messy, halsey, hozier, lorde, marina, olivia rodrigo, billie eilish, pink, Rebecca ferguson, lady gaga, Harry styles & maisie Peters

I also love kpop! My favourites are loona, twice, red velvet, blackpink, mamamoo, clc, weeekly, pixy, cherry bullet, itzy, everglow, cignature, purple kiss, stayc, redsquare, secret number, bvndit, rocket punch, z-stars, iz*one, fromis_9, (g)i-dle, dreamcatcher, weki meki, ioi, cosmic girls, aespa, oh my girl, miss a, exid, apink, good day, chungha, sunmi, Natty, somi, bibi, ha:tfelt, hyuna, taeyeon, iu, bts, txt, got7, kard, dpr live/dpr ian & taemin.. I think that's it lmao I've been really behind on keeping up with new music this year though and there are so many kpop groups that have new releases so often that I have a playlist of songs i forgot to lisyen to when they came out and its like 80% kpop 💀 & for other groups that aren't bands I rlly love little mix <3 without jesy <3

Soul brother Chapter 2

The rest of the night passed without too much drama for you, just making small talk with your new friends. Ben kept finding excuses to stay away from you; talking to his other guests, fetching people drinks and changing the music. Anything to avoid you. You figured it was just because he felt weird about your argument, so you left him to it. You knew he'd be fine if you just gave him a little space.

You stayed much longer than you thought you would, it was early hours of the morning before you knew it. They were all so nice to you and so much fun to be around, it didn't even occur to you to leave early. It was just you and the cast of bohemian rhapsody still there. You said goodbye to everyone in turn and hugged them, the hug lingering a little longer with Joe. The only person you had yet to say goodbye to was Ben. You spotted him alone in the corner, so you decided it would be okay to approach him. He wasn't busy.

"Ben?" He turned towards you. "I'm going now. But I couldn't leave without saying goodbye."

"Okay. Bye." He muttered.

"That's it? No hug or anything?" You said, more than a little confused. You thought you'd made up with him.

"Fine" he said, and hugged you. "I just didn't want them making any more comments after you leave, like they did when you got here."

You laughed "well that was before they knew me. They know it's not like that between us now." He said nothing and let you go.

"You should get some sleep. You don't want to be tired on your date tomorrow" He said as he showed you to the door and you drove home, suddenly exhausted, so you headed straight for bed.

After you left the party, Ben rejoined his friends.

"Are you okay?" Lucy asked him.

"Will everyone please stop asking me that?!" He half yelled in annoyance. "I'm fine."

"Don't take your bad mood out on her. We are worried about you, as your friends." Rami said. "But we will leave you alone if that's what you want."

"Yeah, you know what, piss off" Ben responded. "You're all getting on my nerves."

"Oh come on, don't be like that" Joe said. Ben just glared at him before storming out of the room. "Maybe I should try talking to him." Joe suggested to the group.

"I don't think that's such a good idea right now" Gwil responded, knowing exactly what Ben was upset about. He didn't think it would help for Joe to follow him, but Joe insisted.

Once he found Ben, he approached cautiously. He still looked angry. "You know, I've seen some extreme reactions to getting older, but lashing out at your friends at your party isn't going to change the fact that you're a little closer to 30." He joked to break the ice.

"Leave me alone" Ben said without looking at him.

"I will, once you tell me what this is really about. We're best friends, you can tell me" he said getting closer to him now. 

"You're wrong. (Yn) is my best friend." Ben stated.

"Ouch. At least cardboard Ben would never reject me like that" Joe responded, mock hurt from not being his bestie. "Oh" he said after a moment. "Is that what this is about? (Yn)?" Ben didn't respond so Joe took that as confirmation. "If this is weird for you, I get it. But I like her. Still, I can cancel if it bothers you that much. I don't want to lose a good friend."

"Yes, cancel" he wanted to say. Then he remembered how happy you looked with him, and even though he hated it, he found himself instead saying "it's fine. Go out with her. Just don't ever hurt her, or I'll kill you."

"Of course i wont hurt her" Joe tells him.

"No? Then what happens when you fly back home and she's still here?" Ben questions.

"Well Rami and Lucy are making it work, so I guess we'll do what they do and visit each other all the time." Joe answers. Damn, he had an answer for everything. "Plus it'll give me an excuse to see you more. You know the fans will love to see us hanging out every few weeks"

"Oh shut up" Ben said, but most of his anger from earlier had already left him. Joe had that effect on people. Ben wanted to stay angry with him, but what would be the point? He could hardly blame Joe for wanting to go out with you, afterall you were perfect. "Do what you want, alright, just don't bring me into it. And I do actually need you all to get out, I'm tired."

He showed them all out and apologised as he did so for being in such a mood. He was relieved when they were gone and it was just him, nobody around to ask him constantly if he was okay. Of course he wasn't okay. The woman he loved, his best friend, was about to start dating his other best friend. This was his worst nightmare.

I am not very happy with this chapter but im posting it anyway. It was really just an excuse to mention cardboard Ben somewhere in this story 🤣 Chapter 3 will be posted very soon.
