Idk who needs to hear this, but minimizing your child´s *clearly* neurodivergent tendencies bc "theyre functional enough" and you dont want them to be defined by it, is a recipe for disaster.

maybe recognize it´s a real thing that affects them in every aspect of their life and work around that??? it´s infinitely better to figure out healthy coping mechanisms as soon as possible, thus preventing them from crashing and burning later in life when what they´ve been doing all this time no longer works
