social media continuing to draw attention to palestine is a genuinely good thing and yet some users seem to miss the plot in terms of directing truly so much of their attention towards celebrities and like yeah, call them out but why the fuck are you spending the most time talking abt how xyz celebrity should or shouldn’t have a job. what are we even doing

#at a certain point it feels like it’s not really about empathy or justice #and that makes me.. uncomfortable. like naming individuals as the subjects of your ire obscures the systemic nature of the issue #i’m like ok. so hypothetically you bully a random zionist into apologizing or backpedaling or changing their mind #then what. what have you actually accomplished. whose voices are you amplifying
