as much as i love jacks, i really need him to be different in acftl because that wouldn't make sense for him to be totally exactly the same as before after what happened to evangeline at the end of tbona -

the only reasonable way is that acftl jacks will be a jacks that we've never seen before except maybe in that very scene at the end of ballad (cannot express how excited i am for that)

what if jacks already turned human?

look, in the end of tbona, his feelings are described like this:

"The story curse was familiar with pain, but this was agony, the sort of raw grief that was only seen once in a century."

but isn't grief just what is left of love once death has touched someone?

that would mean that jacks had to turn human to grief eva. that means at least once, for one moment, he loved her, and he turned human because of that.
