Let's pretend that it isn't a popularity contest at all and also let's take into consideration, that a) rules have changed and not a calendar year, but a season is taken into consideration and b) individual achievements are more important than team achievements:
Who do you think should win Ballon d'Or this year? Additionally, who would make it to your shortlist?

If you don't mind, can I ask your top 5 (or top 3) favorite characters from Jujutsu Kaisen? And why you loved them? And your top 5 favorite moments from the series? Sorry if you've answered this before.....
Hi! Thanks for the ask :)
Yuuji is definitely my favourite. If you've seen my recent post about what I think makes him a good character you probably already have an idea about what I think of him.
However, what initially drew me to him was how kind hearted he is. There is a certain childlike (not childish) innocence about him that makes him so endearing and sets him apart from other characters. I know Miwa is a sweetheart too, but something about Yuuji makes it feel more earnest. Of course he isn't that "happy go lucky" kid after everything that's happened to him, but it seems to me that he did preserve some of that purity. Mahito said it himself - Yuuji saves people without a second thought. And while that doesn't have to be the best thing one can do in a certain situations, I still love that about him.
There was that scene when Gojo tells Megumi he needs to be more selfish and not throw his life away. That tendency of his was evident during the game of baseball they played against the Kyoto students. But here's the thing, while Yuuji might be more "selfish" in the way Gojo put it (and even compared himself to him), I still think Yuuji is more "selfless" on the battleground. Megumi knows what should be done. Yuuji feels. Megumi will do something because he knows it's for the better (based on his set of values), Yuuji will do something because he feels it's for the better. Because he genuinly cares (not saying Megumi doesn't, but not as much as Yuuji). What I'm trying to say is that if Megumi sacrifices himself it's because it needs to be done, if Yuuji sacrifices himself it's because he feels for those who would suffer if he doesn't. At least that's how I see it.
Then there's Kenjaku - someone who would cause the apocalypse because they are bored. Here's the thing, I didn't read the manga and go, oh I like this one. I started posting silly little scenarios of them and then it hit me like, wait, they are quite interesting. A mad scientist. I do quite like that. I like how curious, playful and unpredictable they are. Plus I have a habit of liking those who think outside the box.
Which brings us to Yuki. Her character is probably the most similar to Kenjaku's in jjk universe - a playful non-conformist who studies ways of the cursed energy. She wants to treat the root of the problem, not simply exorcise curses - finally! It is interesting because her ideals directly oppose Kenjaku's. She thinks breaking away from cursed energy is for the best, while Kenjaku believes that optimising cursed energy is the way to go. Both of them also have a connection to Tengen, she as a previous Star Plasma Vessel and Kenjaku as Tengen's friend. I wish Gege delved deeper in both of their pasts, or at least showed us how two of those traveled (Kenny across Jappan, she abroad) and studied cursed energy.
Also, she's damn cool, okay? I don't make the rules. She just is. I also love how tall she is (probably because I'm tall too 😂 and you don't see many tall women in the media).
Some other characters i like are Shoko, Nobara, Nanami, Choso, Hakari...
As for the favorite moments, the first two on this list are my actual no. 1 and 2, the rest is listed in no particular order other than me remembering them in that way:
1) Yuuji vs Mahito's last fight in s2
2) Yuuji and Nobara vs Eso and Kechizu, then Nobara comforting Yuuji in her own way, s1
3) the trio spilling coffee on Gojo's shirt, s2
4) Nanami saying everything is shit, s1
5) Yuuji vs Mahito first fight, s1
Sukuna vs Jogo was great too imo, and I love the animation of the Star Plasma corridor scene. Actually all scenes with Amanai Riko were well animated.
There are probably more scenes but this list is off the top of my head.
Sorry for the long answer 😅
Have a nice day :)

okay so i finally get to watch more sailor moon
but before then
i also started both kotaro lives alone and revolutionary girl utena
i'm just gonna combine a mini review of them here cos i've only seen 4 epidoes of utena and 2 oh kotaro and i'll just get them out my head quickly
oh and minor spoilers for both i guess
i lied
nah i'm just kiddeing this shouldn't be too long
utena first
so like it very much is what if we did avant guarde sailor moon with more lesbians. i already new some bits about it (for example the fact that pearl and rosequartz/pink diamonds relationship was based off of utena and anthy) but yea it's really cool. falling under the scope of left field magical girl (this also includes like kill la kill and little witch acadimia in my mind) it's very good. it's one of thoes shows that, cos some of it is up for interpritation, i had to double check some stuff on the wiki as to not confuse myself with the previous notions i had (like checking if two characters are the same or legit different people) which meant i got some minor spoilers but it's nothing i can't deal with. i'm very curious to see where it goes/how it gets to some rough stuff i know. i love the animation. like, and this goes for like sailor moon and cardcaptor sakura. it's really nice going back and watching the 90s style of anime. very satisfying. the music in the show wasn't what i was expecting but is a banger (i litterally have the appocolyse song stuck in my head while writing this). i really like utena as a protagonist. i love her drive and ferce sence of justice and the fact that she was like 'i respect this prince so mush imma become a prince' yas home girl wear that boys uniform and slay. anthy is interesting. she's very intreging, as she's meant to be, and i'm curious to see more of her personality as we've not seen to much of it yet due to her always trying to conform to what others want of her. nanami is a bitch and i love her. like in the same way people like regina geroge and hether. she;s such a bitch. i cannot wait to see where she goes (i'm ignoring her obsession with her brother. tbf it's very much one sided to the point where her brother just don't really seem to notice to berating her if she gets in his way but yea). then there are other characters. anthy's fience when the shows starts is an arse and is in the like the first two episodes and i don't wanna see more of him but i might have ot put up with him. nanami's borther, i don't remember his name, has a thing for utena and has decided to try and manipulate her. it's not working for him. micky is nice, genuinly thought he was a girl for a really long time, he's just oretty sweet so far. and that's it really. there's the animal side kick monkey. he's cute. 8/10 anime so far
err so yea
kotaro lives alone
so one of my friends said it was just really wholesome and cute while my other friend said that they couldn't watch past the fist episode due to the weird vibes. they're both right. it's a cute aime about a 4 year old boy who lives alone in an appartment block and the other tenant's become his family. why he lives alone... i don't exactly know yet and from the sounds of it why he either chose or had to live alone won't really be explored fully. like theres hints of what he endured (hell the show is rated a 12 which the tag of child abuse on it on netflix). the friend who has seen it won't tell me cos they're very none spoilery but i also have an incling that it would be talked about in that much detail. hell kotaro's neighbours won't ask him about it properly due to the fact that it could be quite unsetting for him to talk about/not really knowing how to bring it up. but asides from that it is very cute. the fact that he's able to get his family from his neighbours is great. the guy who lives next to him is his surragate dad, the woman next door again is becoming his mother figure, and the yakuza looking dude downstairs is his creepy uncle. every family needs a creepy uncle. (okay but in all seriousness he's not actually like creepy creepy, he has a kid of his own which he can't see cos i'm assuming previous gang affiliation so kotaro is like a suragate son for him but he goes too all in with it). it's only 10 episodes so i'm quite excited to see where it goes. okay but like the one thing that bug/urks me (and it's not the darker undertones of the show) it's kotaros eyes. idk why they're not even that creepy. and it's not like i'm not use to unusual eyes in anime and cartoons. my brain just really dons't like how his eyes are done. like this neighbour, who's like his dad, has a similar thing going on but without the pupils and that's whatever to me. it's kotaros eyes shape and stuff with the pupils that unnerves me so. i hate that it does so. 7/10

Sorry for doing it this way, I think OP deleted their post or blocked me like a mature, balanced person would, so I have to tag you in
@mr-laugh
Oh boy, lot to unpack here.
So you didn’t even know there were that many subgenres of fantasy, one of the most popular classifications of fiction on the planet... And you think you know enough to tell ANYBODY what classic fantasy is?
And where exactly I attempted to do that, huh?
If you don’t even know the most common subgenres of this vast pool of fiction, why are you jumping into this discussion? You just admitted you don’t know anything!
There is no discussion, there is a stupid ass post. Don't flatter yourself, you don't know jack shit.
Me not knowing what exactly are the precize subgenres of a genre of literature, which, btw, are completely arbitrary and for your information, sword&magic is a legitimate category, has absolutely nothing to do with what that post you were so keen on agreeing with above. It was you who said pretty much any classic fantasy is like that: some poorly written, self-indulgent and borderline racist.
Did ya read the link, buddy? Howard talked about knowing what burning black man smelled like. He was quite approving of these things! And the books are pretty racist, it’s not hard to see, unless you ain’t looking.
Yes, I started reading and by the end of the first paragraph I was convinced he was ahorribly racist man. And? Still doesn't change the fact, that for my 12 year old self, there was nothing racist about it. I definetly wasn't looking for it, that much you got right. If I'd read it again, I'm sure I'd catch on to it now, that I know what kind of asshole he was. So the implied racism would be there. You got a point for that.
Rugged individualism? It always amuses me how that argument always pops out of the mouths of guys who are aping what they’ve heard their buddies say. If ten thousand mouths shout “rugged individualism”, how individualistic are they?
Then you should amuse yourself by looking up why this thing crops up as of late. It's coming from certain, supremely racist yet unaware of it publications that claim ridiculous shit like "rugged individualism" is a hallmark of white supremacy, among other, equally laughable things, like punctuality. It's a joke.
Again, I will give Howard to you, if someone that racist writes a black man saving the hero of the story, I bet there was something else still there to make it wrong.
Conan’s not some avatar of rugged individualism.
Uhm, yeah, he pretty much all that.
He’s as unreal and unrealistic as the dragons are,
It's called fantasy for a reason, buddy.
but more dangerous because White Men model their ideas of reality on Big Man Heroes like him;
Glad you are totally not racist, yo!!! It's such a relief that White Men are the only ones with this terrible behavior of looking up to larger than life, mythic superpeople and nobody else. Imagine what it would be like, if we would have some asshole from say, hindu indian literature massacering demons called Rakshassas, by the tens of thousands, or some bullshit japanese warlord would snatch out arrows from the air, or a chienese bodyguard would mow down hundreds of barbaric huns without dropping a sweat, or some middle eastern hero would fight literal gods and their magical beasts in some quest for eternal life.
it's a poison that weakens us, distracting us from actually trying to solve the world’s issues, or banding together to deal with shit.
Tumblr media
This is what you just said. It's up to the white man, to get their shit together, be not racist and solve the world's problems, because those poor other people's just can't do it. If we would just not be oh, so racist, then China would surely stop with the genocides they are doing now, or blowing more than half the greenhouse emissions into the athmosphere, the muslims would stop throwing their gays from rooftops or ramming trucks into crowds and would just start treating women as equals, India's massive rape problem would be gone, subsaharan African would be magically bereft of the host of atrocities committed there on a daily, yeah, you sure have that nonracism down, buddy!
A rugged individualist would be smart enough to realize that even the most individualistic person needs others; no man’s an island, and a loner is easier to kill.
Individualism doesn't mean at all what you think it means, it's a cluster of widely differeing philosophies that puts the individual ahead of the group or state, it's ranging from anarchism to liberalism and is also has nothing to do with my point.
Central Europe?  What, Germany?  Because let me tell you, historically they are SUPER concerned about race!
Germany traditionally considered western european, central europe would be the people stuck between them and the russians, to put it very loosely. We are equally nonplussed by the self-flagellating white guilt complex and the woe me victim complex of the west. We did none of the shit those meanie white people did to the nonwhites and suffered everyting any poc ever did and then some. We don't give a shit about your color, we care about what culture you are from and if you respect our values.
I’m an American from a former Confederate state; trust me, race is everything.  It always is.
No it really isn't. How old are you? Asking without condescension, genuinly curious, because if you are in your low twenties at most, it's understandable why you think like this.
Tumblr media
See that hike? Do you know what happened at that time that made virtually all american media suddenly go all in with racism?
Occupy Wall Street, that's what. It's a brilliant way to sow victimhood and hate and desperation amongst the people who have one common enemy, the powers that be, the banking sector, the politicians, the megacorporations.
Can't really blame you if you are in your early 20's at most, you grew up with this bullshit hammered into you. If you are older, step out of your echochamber please!
If you actually believe, that mankind doesn't progress naturally towards a more accepting society purely on the merit of there being more good people than bad and sharing a similar living with all the hardships in life, seeing that our prejudices inherited by our parents are baseless, that's how we progress, not virtue signalling courses and regressive policies. I was raised as any other kid, I had a deep resentment towards the neighbouring nations, I said vile, racist shit against people who I actually share a lot of genes with, of which fact I was in deep denial about, and then as I gradually got exposed more and more actual people of these groups, I started to realize I was wrong and everybody should be judged by their individual merits. It works throughout the generations, my grandma was thought songs about Hitler and how all jews are evil in school, she legit thought all black people at least in Africa are cannibals and shit, my mother stillsays shit that would get her cancelled in the USA, and I will probably have a mixed race kid as we stand now.
This whole racism is an eternal problem is laughable and disingenuous and I am actually sorry for you that you feel like that.
Moving on. As for Dany, the “noble white girl sold to scary dark foreign man” is a very popular trope, especially in exploitation films, which Martin draws on much more heavily than most authors do.
No, he fucking doesn't. I already wrote a bunch of examples from the books you seeminly ignore willfully. First of all, she is sold to those olive skinned savages by a white man, who is a terrible, increadibly evil man. He want's to fuck the then 11-12 ish Dany so bad, she picks his slave most resembling her and rapes her repeatedly, "until the madness pass." He also maimes children and traines them as disposable slave spies by the hundreds. There is no boundaries colour here, GRRM prtrays all kinds of people as reprehensible, evil and disgusting. Just like you can find plenty of examples to the opposite.
What is he drawing from your exploitation movies exactly? He writes about the human anture, he writes about the human heart at war with itself, that's his central philosophy of writing.
ASOFAI is basically just a porn movie with complicated feudal politics obscuring it, which is probably why it worked so well as an HBO series (up until the last two seasons or so.)
There is no gratuitous sex scene in the books, the rapes are described as rapes, they are horrible, they are very shortly described and usually just alluded to.
The people commiting them are not put into generous lights and one of the single most harrowing stories hidden behind the grand happenings of the plot is a girl named Jeyne Poole, whose suffering although never shown, is very much pointed out, along with the hypocrisy of the people who only fight to try and save her, because they think her a different person.
Honestly, if you actually read the books and they came of to you as porn, you might want to do some soulsearching.Btw, the HBO series was a terrible adaptation, it immedietly started to go further and further from the books with every passing season and the showmakers made it very clear to everybody, that they didn't understand the very much pacifist and humanist themes of Martin. And neither did you.
We also get no indication Essos will eat it when Winter comes; hell, they seem to not know Winter exists, given the way people act, even though that is also unrealistic and weird.  Essos was just super badly designed, and Dany is a terribly boring character.
to be continued

Alright I'm done!
Two:
First of all Ryan is so sweet I love him
- Wait this is interesting so apparently in the early days of the enneagram people used to assign animals to them. And for Two it was a puppy (this is relevant because Chris has a puppy)
- By the way if you're curious about the others, here is an article about it
https://enneagrams9paths.com/enneagram-types-animal-archetypes/
- So according to Chris the two is the first heart type as you know and it is the most "heart filled" out of all the types to most nurturing and caring out of all the types
- He says that twos are all that is good in us and they often bring out the best in us ❤
- when twos are centered they are a powerful force of love and embrace
- ok I literally can't hear the song without thinking of Cristina and crying
-ok a lot of this you already know so I'm Skipping over it
- twos sometimes give too much of themselves away to a person in order to try have their needs met
-it's embarrassing and devastating for them to ask to have their needs met
- twos give people permission to explore their inner hearts
- Ryan started with guitar and then switched it to piano because he thought it sounded too dark and broody
- he talks about assigning different instruments to the types and he thought of the two as a chello because it's "warm and loving" so you hear a lot of chello throughout the strings
- Also a lot of strings in general like violin
- the story of redemption is about the two learning to love themself unconditionally as much as they love other people
- the final line is actually the two addressing themself
- the song starts with obsessive unhealthy love but it ends with healthy self love
- it can be read as a song from a two to another person but it can also be read as a song from the two to themself
- the lyrics are supposed to represent this overbearing and intense love
-but the whole point is that the two needs to apply that same love that they feel for others to themself
- Chris talks about how to care for a two which I thought you might find interesting
- He says that we need to ask them how they want to be loved and they will find that jarring at first because they don't wanna think about it
-in most cases they will just take whatever they're given and pretend it's enough even though they're not really happy
- so we need to get twos to tell us what they want and make sure they hold us to that
- people need to be very careful they don't take them for granted and take advantage of them
-If you are dominant type two you need to take care of your own needs and learn to ask us for help (I know easier said then done)
- you need to find caution to not over extend yourself and you need to assert boundries
- It's true, we do need you, but you still need to prioritize yourself
-Learn to love yourself and learn to say no
- Ryan mentions he tries to reference both the wings in each song "I'd take my heart clean apart" is a reference to the precision of the one and "put my mask on first" references the three and how they often "put on a mask" in front of others
- another example of Ryan doing this is in the five song with "my private collection" referencing four and "because if I could let myself be seen" referencing six
- He mentions he uses water in the song (referencing the ocean) because it's a powerful giver of life and it nurtures you
- you'll hear a lot of water sounds in the backround
- Chris mentions that if you are a two you probably feel like you are only loved for what you can give and not actually who you are
- and when you feel like you are only loved for what you can give you will try and give more and more and more but that's not healthy
- You need to know that you are loved and you are wanted and needed for being yourself. ❤
Ok that was a long ass tldr sorry lol. But my own personal tldr would be take care of yourself ❤
I am so glad i did *not listen* because just reading this genuinly caused me to cry. I wish i was joking, I was not aware that the last verse was supposed to be 2 @ themselves and that just broke me in a way like YOURE TELLING ME THATS TO THEMSELVES?
THEM LEARNING TO LOVE THEMSELVES???
like a force to be wreckoned with, mighty ocean or a gentle kiss, I will love you woth every single thing i have THATS TOWARDS THEMSELVES????
What A PRIVILEGE IT IS TO LOVE 😭 THATS TOWARDS THEMSELVES FAE TELL ME THATS A JOKE IM GONNA START CRYING AGAIN.
As i mentioned all this made me cry so I'll just mention its very accurate to me and move on because dvdjdjd im not doing this today LETS TALK ABOUT FICTIONAL CHARACTERS AKA
CRISTINA AND MY OC MANUEL BECAUSE OH MY GOD
Two latinos have a soft spot in my heart ok?? Ok lets move on
Oh i knew about the animal thing! The animals are in each cover of the enneagram, I've always wanted to make fanart of fictional characters with their animal archetype. Mostly I've imagined tlh characters (Sleeping at last uses the owl for 5 and I have such a vivid image of Christopher with an owl in his hand, same with Alastair leaning against the 8 bull with a spear)
AS U SHOULD C R I S T I N A 💕
Ok so my plan was re replying to all but no im not gonna be able to handle it im just gonna talk about important topics and go ahead
Chellos extremly beautiful and i do think it fits the archetype. I love how he wrote it in a way people at first think "oh my god its @ me" and " I wish i had a friend like that" while is 2 is literally breaking themselves into pieces for the other. Everyone ive ever shown 2 first says they thought the song was so sweet and they wanted someone to do that for them, they wanted to be loved like that.
But it reminds me a lot of people dont know, the way 2 talks in the beggining is their version of self destruction. Speaking of my oc, Manuel, no ones noticed how damaged he was because of his mentality because he was helpful. He takes every burden in gis family, every respinsability because he wants to help and take pain away. He wants to heal them he wants to fix them at any expense. Even his own well being
I think this lil paragraph from my wip explains it better than I could
Tumblr media
Twos deal with shame (as you mentioned) by being useful. They need to be useful and helpful because if not, how could they ever be loved??
Oh, I am DEFINETLY not reading the how to care for a 2 because point number 2 of "zia genuinly cried"
No cause ive gotten to the point two of my teachers have asked me to pls take a break and even spoke to my mom about it. She came to pick me up and they both asked her to tell me to establish a boundary and say no to things. Rn i havent done hw for those classes at their request, so yeah boundary setting ajfhfjjfndndnnzznbznnxnx *screams*
WING REFERENCE
Jajajahaja not the giving part *holds manuel and cristina* YOU DONT NEED TO GIVE OK?
THANK YOU FOR IT I ADORED IT
And thanks!!
