                holland, as a rule, sleeps mostly when he’s too exhausted to remain awake, and not always for very long at once.  as far as he can tell, it’s been that way most of his life ; he’s either working, or just awake.  of course, the increase of vivid nightmares that come with remembering a past life ( and memories of what could happen every time he let his guard down enough to sleep ) don’t help any.

the upshot of this is that waking up somewhere distinctly not his bed isn’t particularly surprising.  one hand is still loosely curled around an open book, & it’s just LIGHT enough to see the familiar outline of the living room.  he was dreaming, but not badly, and maybe that’s why he’s less quick to move away when he wakes, this time, to someone dropping into the space next to him.  tenses anyway, on reflex, but doesn’t move. 

or maybe –– if he thinks about it, and holland isn’t prone to dwelling on such things –– it’s the space between them, the way vor sits with easy grace and waits, not in a way holland is used to waiting.  neither a test nor a demand, so unlike the way athos would wait, having given an order, and KNOW holland had not the freedom to refuse him.  

there was a life where the space between dreaming and waking didn’t exist ; no safety to linger there.  this is not that life, and it’s as close to unguarded as holland ever comes, somehow alert yet still on the edge of half-asleep.  ‘ are you waiting for a written invitation? ’ he asks, dry tone laced with faintest amusement. 

it’s not a LONG kiss, hardly even a kiss at all, barely-awake and barely-there.  holland lets himself lean into it anyway, holds onto the closeness only for a second.  / @oflegendaries​

First off when I say he has younger brother energy I mean it. "Brian do you have games on your phone?" "Lui can I play on your DS?" "Jane can I have a sandwich, the happy pets stole mine!" "EJ can you bring back a sandwich and pizza rolls?" Are common phrases in the manor. As for relationships with others

Jane, Clockwork, Tim, Brian basically all the adult creeps are older siblings, Lui is Jeff control. Happy pets are a nuisance to him and his gamer lifestyle. Toby, Nina, and Jeff are annoying but cool, their all friends. And Sally is like a younger sister.

His favorite food is a sin. It's a peanut butter, lettuce, meat and cheese sandwich. The happy pets eat everything but the lettuce and make him eat it sometimes.

He lives a slight gamer lifestyle he will game outside if asked, he likes pizza rolls and gummy bears when he plays certain games.

As for angst I can say this. He avoids looking the green eyed creeps in the face. It doesn't help at all that all the creeps with green eyes also have skin on the tan side and brown fluffy hair, all attributes of the people who killed him. He still likes them he just avoids looking them in the eyes. He has a recovering fear of water and really only bathes for special occasions like going to Trender it Splendor's house (probably why he goes with Sally whenever slendy is away for a period of time). He also avoids Sully, mostly because his weapon of choice is a metal pole (the reason he doesn't have eyes canonically) and just all in all resembles the people who killed him way too much for BEN's liking. As I've said before he was bullied, stressed and suffering from malnutrition, as a result he hadn't even started to go through puberty yet, so he died prepubescent. He was small, had a high pitched voice, and still really childish.

He is a ghost and he does literally glitch sometimes, which can teleport him into a wall and get him stuck, it's a relatively easy fix and doesn't hurt him.

He has a weak dream manipulation and really only watches people's nightmares with it.

He can shapeshift too, just not in the manor (physically it's not a 'he's not allowed to thing') he usually only does this to make himself look taller.

His powers are:

And can breath underwater (not that he needs to)
