#persuasion#persuasion (1995)#2024filmgifs#my gifs#you have no idea how much it hurt me#to limit myself to 14 gifs#i'm gunna have to rewatch this again during the year#to cover all the bits i didn't gif#I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH#it is the perfect Austen film adaptation#all others are inferior#i will forever love Roger Michell for making this the way he did#flawless in every way#anyone who tells you it's boring and dry is wrong and frankly stupid#and i swear Ciaran Hinds is the only man#who makes a bicorn or whatever that is look good#every other man looks like his head is being swallowed#but he looks amazing in it#must be those phenomenal cheekbones#or some costume trick with sizing i don't know#i love them both so much#their performances are so rich and exquisitely pitched#i love their love so much#and yes simon russell beale cracks me up in that last gif#like he's going 'whaaaaat is up with these two?' lol darling charles
