finally got around to listening to sketches 3d today and man! man! oh boy! liveblog under the cut!
-piano. exactly what i was expecting
-vibrato huh
-ayyy that's some. funky percussion
-this is like the fullerenes or something. a song about an Interesting Lady
-and there's that one grainy string synth/sample that andrew uses a lot & also appears in hawaii part ii
-more percussion. this is so cool
-i wasn't expecting this to be quite so minor key
-man if that was courtney on the flute there i think that'd be sick
-sing it andrew!
-i'm already having a more cheery time than i did with nat
-zubin???
-i will absolutely have to review that voice
-wait what the fuck is happening to her
-darling you good?
-anyway. classic andrew horowitz funky out-of-tune synths
-rattle rattle
-more out of tune piano. what song is this
-oh shit!!! this is the song my friends like
-tambourine <3
-you & me? sides of a coin? good & evil?
-so weird hearing all these lyrics i've seen in the song channel sung aloud for real
-andrew is doing some good singing here. he's good at carrying the melody on his own even though i've not heard much of that from him in the past save fate of the stars maybe
-he's always been good at that percussion
-all different types of percussion. tinny little gong like it's the whole world & you acoustic
-tambourine <3 <3
-so incredibly weird knowing what the lyrics are going to be without knowing what the song sounds like. i know how these words go in order but don't know how the melody carries them
-interesting thing about sketches so far. it's very strong & powerful but it doesn't block out the world like other new songs will. i'm not being taken somewhere else it's more like the whole rest of the world is being highlighted
-alright what's next?
-7/4 hummingbird????? or is this 6/4???
-no no no it's 5/4 and doing funky things with the onbeat i love this
-asking questions to a little creature is the best kind of pasttime and i mean that
-man andrew mixed this really well he's just. incredible at that
-he's making each song distnict while also giving sketches a clear theme
-a minor turn. i like that
-now what could this be?
-not lemons & pears yet?
-daisy fingers hell yes
-another song about a lady
-spoke mostly harmony oh you clever man
-thank you andrew for doing more with time signatures than tally hall ever did. first 5/4 and now 6/8
-the combination of very out of tune & rough percussions and incredibly beep bloopy synths is so cool
-conversations with a lady. this feels like a story of andrew visiting another world and being like "might as well write some songs about the fellows and stories round here"
-the whole album, i mean
-i am inspired by you, andrew
-this whole album is everything i could've hoped for and more
-the interesting thing about it is how few questions i find myself asking. i'm just looking at this stuff i have and being like wow! &, cool! not what i usually do with new albums
-divine inspiration bay be
-that's like. the opposite of an 80s fadeout
-oh that is absolutely the little sfx from the beginning of perfect at the end
-wait speaking of at the end
-no this is have a nice day interludinal
-is this a polyrhythm? there's a 4/4 type thing in the background and the foreground is. not on the onbeat i can say that much
-man i am going to have a nice day
-he's a good musician, able to make so much music out of a single interval
-lemons & pears!!!!
-toy orchestra my beloved that's the fuckin toy piano bay be wooooo
-but man oh boy does this sound absolutely different with only a one single guy singing
-ukulele in the bg? toy orchestra <3
-interesting being able to actually hear like. all of the lyrics for real
-some of the little riffs are gone and there are quite a many more
-hello?
-oh okay
-yeah i heard about the fucking gunshots that doesn't mean i was prepared for them
-the chorus sounds so nice i love this
-guest vocals?????????? whomst????????????
-who is this lady i'm so curious is she from the old toy orchestra? that'd be amazing
-breakdown time and it sounds so similar to the toy orchestra one. man
-at the end is. not the end of the album
-i think the thing that's getting me and not prompting as many questions is the fact that like. i hear these songs and hear tally hall songs. andrew's singing & i could hear this on a tally hall album with ease. it's strange
-i think the hi-hat and other little bits in this song, for example, reminds me of ross
-andrew's always tried hard at rock, and percussion is a massive part of that-wait he's scat singing i can finish that thought later i love this
-his songs are also very easy to sing along to without meaning to. first time hearing them and here i go
-anyway percussion is a massive part of rock, andy's always had an affinity for percussion, i think that's what's making me think of tally hall so much, or at least be. comfortably experiencing this in the same way i would a tally hall album
-i can't say the same of hawaii part ii
-if there's anywhere that lists the credits somewhere i'd like to see if ross worked on this at all but. i'm pretty sure he didn't
-where am i-oh shit a crowd
-nowhere else this is a song i think i know nothing about
-all that shit i was saying about rock percussion and now there's a whole entire drumkit going here
-alrighty
-that is not only andrew singing! again! who are you
-.....casey shea?????
-you sound like casey shea sir??????
-you are either casey shea or someone else who sounds like a beatle (affectionate, instead of derogatory)
-good guitar shit
-is that a third voice or does andrew just sound like that?
-madi diaz???
-i'm probably just guessing her because of the rendezvous but. there's gotta be someone more
-a whole lot of love going on here and i do appreciate it
-is it 80's fadeout time now? hell yeah
-oh yes the rainbow connection! a cover and the final song of the album (not counting the bonus tracks, which i will be listening to)
-i think i may have heard this before? or at least the minor rendition
-stylophone?
-humming. classic move
-theremin??
-music box is also cool. i swear i won't just be commentating on the instrumence alright
-what on earth is this sample in the background. steadily getting louder
-man andrew is a great singer. the consistent double vocals/heavy vibrato suits him well
-i will assume these are samples from like. the muppets movie
-does sketches (3d or otherwise) have a pdf like hwptii & nat? i sure hope so because i will enjoy looking at it
-vocalizing again let's a go
-more gong wahoo
-bonus track time <3
-tomorrow & today is a song i know pretty damn well i hope he's more legible now
-mostly the same as the 2011 version but it certainly is updated i can tell. more echo on these beginning lines
-piano is stronger. there may or may not be some added flairs. not a whole lot blatantly changed but i can say. i'll remove the 2011 version and replace it with this one for charlie
-there's a riff in my right ear that i don't remember and i like it
-this bit right here is more legible in general thank god it was incomprehensible originally
-the stomping percussion is Goin places
-and to end the whole song- you know yesterday fueled by a listen of nat i came up with an abundance of thoughts on writing styles in tally hall and especially how andrew's songs go places and what the journey's like and while that essay really won't fit into this liveblog i really enjoy how tomorrow & today has no destination in mind and it's a gradual trip but you never look back
-such strong g&e vibes
-misfortune bay be! time to replace the other misfortune charlie has with this
-sheet music???? jenny where did you find this? [referring to the image used in the video she uploaded i listened to] also this is still not the whole song i know the original misfortune wasn't but it feels strange to start this far into the song
-chords my beloved i could fucking play this song i'm so hyped about that
-toy orchestra solid soda real <3
-the one and only studio recording toy orchestra did. this is some of the best evidence for steve gallagher's voice we have
-also the audio is higher quality than the yt upload i think
-oh a casio organ not a real organ. okay i can't complain
-i like the sound of the piano at least. also this is horrendously gorey i like it
-andrew horowitz horror writer extraordinaire
-these sound like the sorts of drum synths my electric organ has
-i actually can't tell if that one's a guest vocal or andrew just being a very very good singer
-this sounds like some sort of recording you'd take of your kid's music school performance
-oh it's over
-fuck that was good

You've never been big on attending all those fancy events your company has been hired to work at, but Billy always said it was a good way to build connections. Not once have you found yourself in a pretty little ballgown, following your boss around with a stone-cold expression, silently trying to suffocate him with your murderous gaze. You were hired to be a security agent not a peacock, but Billy didn't seem to mind the invisible daggers your eyes shot at him, if anything, by the smug grin across his face, he appeared to be enjoying the situation.
Just like many times before, this event was organised by one of his clients as well and he had been invited, along with a plus one to your utter disappointment. Though it sounded like you were supposed to be guests, in the end the man made it clear that he wanted Billy to have his back and his people to be blended in the crowd. Therefore, most of the night, you and Billy have been following around the old man, some no name politician you couldn't even recognise with his wife on his arm, smiling like a wild beast.
"You know, if you think about it, this could be our first date," Billy smirked as his eyes scanned the room. "It's like a grand double date," he smirked, earning an annoyed huff from you.
"It's not a double date, I wouldn't even go out with you if you were the last person on this planet," you groaned. "We are just— third and fourth wheeling for the sole purpose of their security," you nodded towards the couple in front of you.
"If denial makes your sensitive little heart feel better about your attraction towards me, who am I to object," he chuckled. "Though I have to admit, that silk dress on you makes it very hard for me to focus," he scanned your body, his gaze studying every single inch as though he could see through the thin material. His eyes dwelled longer on the high cut design that ran up to the top of your thigh, exposing your bare legs. His intent gaze burned your skin, your ears feeling as though they were on fire before realisation hit you.
"Hold on a minute, are you flirting with me?" You asked incredulously.
"As smart as you are, I'm surprised it took you this long to realise," he replied with his smug grin growing wider.
"Wipe it off," you scoffed at him as he grabbed your arm, rougher than you expected and linked it with his, patting the back of your hand. You walked around the ballroom with him on your side as he shook hands with all kinds of men, each seemingly interested in every breath Billy took, almost as though he was more important than the old man in front of you.
"Why? If it wasn't for your distaste in all these events, you'd be drooling over me by now," he chuckled playfully, offering you a subtle wink, before he turned back to the sea of people with his head held high, his body straightening in an authoritative manner.
"You are delusional," you hissed, teeth gritting in frustration.
"Right, I guess you just love staring at me then. Though I'm not surprised, I'm certainly good to look at," he huffed.
"No and No," you scoffed with a grimace. "And remove that shit-eating grin from your face already," you retorted as Billy clicked his tongue.
"Pretty lips, but such a dirty mouth," he let out a low, throaty laugh as he leaned closer, his lips brushing your ear, his warm breath sending a shiver through your body. "You know, I have a couple of ideas what you could use that mouth for," he replied in a suggestive tone, arching a single brow as he pulled back.
"Oh, do you now?" You offered him a playful smile as your eyes looked him up and down before your gaze met his again. "Unfortunately for you, I'm not interested," you shook your head, trying to act as though his offer didn't affect you, as though his body so close to you didn't force your heart into a dangerous pace. Though mostly you found it easy to ignore his teasing, you had to admit a part of you was indeed inclined to know more about where his mind was wandering off to.
"Ouch," he placed a hand in front of his chest, acting as if he was indeed in pain before he rearranged himself. "Your loss, I guess," he shrugged nonchalantly, earning an annoyed eye roll from you.
As the night went on, you tried to ignore the music in the background and focus on your work. Your eyes scanned the gigantic room as you shimmied through the sea of people dancing in pairs whilst Billy followed right behind you, clearing his throat. Looking back over your shoulder, you realised his eyes weren't on the people surrounding you or establishing eye contact with the rest of the team. His gaze fell lower, lower than you expected.
"Do you like the view?" You asked, arching a brow as he finally stopped staring at your backside and lifted his gaze, running his tongue across his bottom lip.
"What can I say that dress seems to enhance your beauty in all the right places," he smirked, earning a scoff from you. "Hey, can't I compliment you?" He raised his hands innocently, but you didn't fall for it, his proud grin spread wider as he ran his eyes all over you again.
"Pig," you spat as you finally reached the end of the crowd and stole a glass of champagne from a tray one of the servers walked around with.
"You are not supposed to be drinking," he gave you a cold look.
"I can't handle you sober," you chugged the content of the glass in a swift movement, earning a loud huff from him.
"That's not very professional," he replied as he stepped closer and placed a hand on your waist, tugging you closer in his side.
"Well, screw professionalism," you huffed as you felt the alcohol hit you. It was already warm inside, but with the alcohol, you felt your cheeks flush. Your eyes wandered to your side, where his big palm cupped your side, his touch radiating further warmth into your already heated body. "Is it just me—," you asked as you met his gaze, "or your hand seems to wander way too carelessly on my body tonight," you squinted suspiciously.
"I'm just making sure you are safe," he shrugged nonchalantly.
"I'm not the client, you know that, right?" you huffed as you grabbed his hand, took it off your waist and walked towards another room, searching for the old man, before you heard a voice in your earpiece, letting you know about his whereabouts. Heading to his position, you felt Billy's presence right behind you again. You halted your steps and turned around, folding your arms in front of your chest.
"You were not supposed to be drinking," he repeated himself with a stern expression across his face, one that told you this time he wasn't playing around, he was indeed unhappy with you. But instead of apologising or acknowledging his presence for that matter, you simply ignored him and looked around the room. "Do you even realise that I'm your boss?" He frowned, looking at you with a questioning gaze. "I feel like I have been way too lenient with you," he groaned as you stared him down. You caught sight of a waiter heading your way, so you quickly snatched another glass from his tray and gulped down the champagne.
"So? What are you going to do about it?" You asked in a mocking tone, smirking at the man as he chewed on his bottom lip. The words escaped your vocal cords before you could even protest. In normal circumstances you would have never dared to say them out loud, but the alcohol in your system, the two glasses of champagne seemed to do the trick. As you weren't big on drinking and barely had any alcohol, it hit you harder than someone who was used to its strength.
"I could fire you in this instance," he hissed, his tone low and warning. You took a step towards him, barely leaving a couple of inches between you as you looked up at him.
"Then why don't you?" You asked, arching a brow, waiting for a reply. "Come on, why don't you, huh?" You taunted him. "What did you expect? That I'm going to beg you to let me keep my job? Humour me, Russo," you huffed, this time wearing the same shit-eating grin he wore before.
"You are playing with fire," he spoke through gritted teeth as he sneaked an arm around your waist and pulled you flush against his chest, forcing you to lift your head higher to be able to look up at him. "I don't appreciate that tone," he continued in a low, dark voice, one that made your knees buckle, the air stuck in your lungs. "If you want to get my attention, then you can stop, you have had it for a while," he growled as he brushed his lips against your earlobe, his breath fanning the sensitive skin behind your ear. "But if it's for the sole purpose of pissing me off, I advise you to cut the bullshit, because I don't like your stupid little game," he squeezed your side as he pulled back, his jaw clenched.
To be fair, you weren't sure why you were taunting him, but there was something about him when he was frustrated, when you knew he was just a push away from snapping. You never dared to cross that line, nor did you want to do it now, but that borderline dangerous look in his eyes made you feel weak, his strong arm around you rough and warning, still you couldn't stop yourself from poking the sleeping lion. "So, you can play with me, but I can't do the same? Don't you think that's hypocritical?" You scoffed, folding your arms in front of your chest, creating even more space between you. There was a moment of silence as Billy studied your face, trying to decide if you were serious or you had gone completely mental.
"You are drunk, you are not making any sense," he scoffed as he got hold of your arm and started dragging you towards a closed door. As he opened it, you found yourself in some sort of a lounge with a sofa on the opposite wall of the room, an armchair on each side and a small coffee table right in front of it. The dim light and empty room created a rather welcoming feeling after the loud ballroom. "Sit down and take a minute for yourself, I will be back in a second. Hopefully by then you will make more sense," he threw the words at you as he left and closed the door behind himself.
You didn't attempt to take a seat and lounge around, you didn't want to sit down and do nothing, though the slight dizziness you felt urged you to do so. For a second you debated if you should listen to your instincts and indeed rest your tired limbs, but you shook yourself out of the thought and instead wandered around the room, looking at the paintings on the wall. Each art was of the same man— the one you were supposed to be protecting— wearing the finest of clothing you have ever seen. Rich folks, you scoffed at the thought, but before you could have dwelled on them any longer, the door opened. Without looking over your shoulder, Billy's cologne filled your nostrils. "Did you come back to police me?" You said without turning to look at him.
"It seems I didn't give you enough time to clear your head," he mused.
"My head is completely clear," you shot back at him, stumbling a bit as you felt slightly lightheaded. He stood in front of the closed door, hands tucked in the pockets of his trousers as he casually leaned against the wooden panels.
"I can see that," he scoffed, this time with a tiny smile in the corner of his mouth, running his eyes up and down on your body, his gaze darkening.
"I'm not drunk," you pointed at his chest as you walked up to him in haste, halting your steps right in front of him, leaving a barely visible gap between the two of you, feeling the heat radiate from his body.
"And I believe that," he replied in a mocking tone. "Though it leaves me with a question. It seemed you had some difficulty standing on your own two feet just a minute ago. What was that about that then?" His smug grin grew wider, knowing he was right. Indeed, there were some side effects to the alcohol you have consumed.
"Fine," you replied, jaw clenched in anger, teeth gritting as you held yourself back. "I'm— I might be— a little drunk," you cleared your throat as though admitting it caused you physical pain.
"Okay, now we are getting somewhere," he said as he lifted his hand and brushed his fingertips along the curve of your shoulder, slowly following the path down to your wrist. "So, why did you drink then?" He asked, with a slight amount of curiosity.
"You pissed me off," you shrugged nonchalantly, earning a chuckle from Billy as he kept repeating his movements, running his fingers along your arm, causing goosebumps to appear on your skin, which he did not miss.
"That's not very professional, is it?" He asked, teasing you as his strokes moved from your shoulder to your collarbone, forcing your breath to turn shallow. He lifted his eyes, meeting your lustful gaze, only to caress his ego further. "If I didn't know you better, I'd say you are not only drunk, but that smart little head of yours might just be filled with some very— very dirty thoughts," he chuckled as you swallowed nervously, his palm cupping your face, running his thumb along your lip.
He wasn't wrong though. There were thoughts that you wished never to voice, thoughts that had him standing in front of you naked, completely exposed, your hands running across his toned chest, his mouth nipping at the soft skin of your neck. You licked across your lips as the thought became even more vivid, his grumbling tone forcing you to draw your thighs together, needing some sort of a friction. He arched a brow at the movement, a cocky grin spreading across his face. "It seems I'm right once again and you are not even trying to deny it," he breathed as he planted his other hand on your waist and drew you closer. "Tell me, where is that pretty head of yours wondering to?" He let out a low chuckle, but you didn't answer, you didn't dare to say it. "Let me guess," he leaned down to your ear, tickling your neck with his beard, causing a knot to appear in the pit of your stomach, your breathing turning ragged, "are you horny?" He let out a low chuckle as he bit your neck, earning a silent squeaking sound from you, his actions 'almost' sobering you up. 'Almost', because within seconds you find yourself leaning into his touch.
"I—," you tried to reply, but your throat seemed too dry, your heart was beating so heavily, you could hear the drumming of your own pulse in your ears. "I maybe— just maybe a little horny," you breathed as he ran his lips along the curve of your neck, forcing your eyes to flutter shut. Before you realised your own actions, you cupped his cheeks and pulled him away from your neck, pressing your lips to his, stunning him for a mere moment, before he returned your advances. The kiss was hungry, teeth tugging at lips, tongues fighting for dominance, but that was what you needed. You pressed your body against his, closing any remaining gap between the two of you, earning a low growl from Billy. He grabbed your hips, holding onto you as though he was trying to ground himself, keeping himself sober in the haste of that heated kiss.
"I think we should stop," he breathed as he finally found his strength to leave your lips. A deep frown spread across your brow as you studied him.
"Why?" You asked in confusion, knowing— feeling his body's reaction to you.
"Think whatever you want of me, I can be a lot of things, but I like to think that touching someone without their consent is wrong. I believe we have already done more than we were supposed to," he cleared his throat as he tried to push you back gently, but rather firmly and you obliged.
"I'm giving you consent, Russo," you replied in disbelief.
"You are drunk, so I'm not sure you are," he shook his head. A loud huff left your lungs as you walked up to the sofa and sat down, placing one leg over the other, crossing them as you sunk deeper into the cushions.
"Okay," you scoffed. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but I said I was a little drunk. You see little is the key word here," you tilted your head, hoping he would understand where you were going with this. "As you can see, I'm capable of talking, walking, thinking and I'm certainly not crawling on the floor, am I?" You arched a brow, watching his expression turn contemplating. "I will make this easy for you, Russo," you continued, your tone inviting. You lifted your leg from the other and spread them just enough, so the opening of your dress fell between your legs, the high cut design revealing your bare thighs. Seemingly it was enough of an encouragement for Billy to tense up and swallow visibly. "So, what's it going to be?" You asked as a mischievous smile grew wider across your face just as you slowly started closing your legs. Before he could even stop himself, he pounced on you, kneeling between your legs, stopping you from closing the gap as he pressed his lips against yours, ready to take you up on your offer.
His mouth attached to yours hungrily, grabbing your thighs as he pushed you further into the sofa. You busied yourself with his clothes and started untying his tie and unbuttoning his shirt, impatiently trying to pull the material out of his trousers. You threw his tie on the floor, soon followed by his shirt, before you pushed him down beside you and crawled into his lap, earning a groan from him. "You little beast," he grinned at you as he grabbed the back of your neck and pulled you down to meet him halfway in a heated kiss, his hands grabbing your ass, pulling you further down onto his lap, his kisses trailing down to your neck, leaving you panting, whispering his name in your half-clear state of mind.
"Just so you know, I still hate you," you breathed against the crook of his neck as you returned the satisfying attention he was giving you, nipping on the sensitive skin, earning you a throaty groan from him.
"Yeah, I can feel it," he chuckled as he bucked his hips, causing a gasp to erupt from your lungs. "Let's discuss that after you stop screaming my name in pleasure," he replied through gritted teeth as grabbed your hips and with a swift movement changed your position, throwing you on your back, hovering above you. He studied your dishevelled look with a smug grin across his face, before he pressed his lips to yours again, his hands exploring every part of your body that he didn't have the chance to before, forgetting about everything and anything about the ball on the other side of the safely locked door.

Songbird
Yan!Childe x Singer/Dancer!Khaenri'ahn! reader
Proof-read by: @choquackette
a/n: in a way, does this count as a songfic :D? Also I'm gonna use Lost in Thoughts All Alone for this. And to be fair you're pretty much like Shigure/Azura from fates in this
TW: Kidnapping
Tumblr media
You are the ocean's gray waves
Destined to seek life beyond the shore
Just out reach
Your voice rang out through the crowd who was listening. Your Hydro Vision glowed as you made particles of water float around you. It created an illusion that made them looked like it was sparkling. It was mesmerising. To Childe, it amazed him how you used it so beautifully for a show. Unlike his more....bloodthirsty uses of his. To think a Vision can do something so graceful and morbid at the same time.
Of course he had his Electro Delusion but this is the Vision we're talking about. He uses it as a weapon while you used it for entertainment. To be honest, he never thought he'd see something like this. It was all thanks to a mission he has to do. Tailing a guy who was in debt to the Fatui and all. Childe think he was a fool. Instead of trying to make his business better, he wastes it on shows like these. But now that he sees you, he understand why. Your exotic appearance was a sight to behold. The only known person to have the same eyes as you was that Favonius Cavalry Captain and he only showed one eye. One already can make one look intriguing but having both made you look ethereal.
Yet the water ever change
Flowing like time
The path is yours to climb
Your dance was graceful, fluid movements that did flow like water. Childe think you could've been a good sword fighter if you were able to incorporate these movements into sword fighting. But for now he'll enjoy your voice and dancing. There's just something about it he loved so much. Sure fighting is always the one he loves but there's just something about you that he's attracted to. Was it your appearance? Vocals? Movements? Or those pupils of yours? He thinks it's quite silly, he doesn't even know who you are and yet......
A burdened heart
Sinks into the ground
Here he is, eager to look for you after this whole mission thing. If there's one thing he knows, is to not judge someone's prowess by appearance. Take the traveler for example. They have a petite form and yet they were able to defeat his Foul Legacy form! Who knows what you might have in store for him? Just the thought of you actually being able to fight makes him feel giddy.
Alas, all he can do for now is listen to your song. With that said, he didn't forget his mission. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw his target. The man was also in awe of looking at you. Too in awe of noticing his presence that is. He'll get right back to him when your show's over.
A veil falls away without a sound
Not day nor night
Wrong nor right
For truth and peace, you'll fight
He wondered if his siblings would love your singing. Sleeping to a lullaby sounded like a nice idea to him. Why he even thought of that was a mystery to him. Is this what they called love at first sight? He just can't help but wished to woken up by your voice that will roll out his name softly in the morning.
Sing with me a song
Of silence and blood
The rain falls, but can't wash away the mud
Within my ancient heart dwells
Madness and pride
Can't no one hear my cry?
The song ended and the crowd threw a round applause. You bowed and left the stage immediately. Childe, who hasn't forgot his mission, quickly trailed the guy he was after outsidd. "Ah! Hello there Mr. Wei Xing! I reckon you know who I am yes?" And so from there, he scared the poor man to the death with threats and grim reminder of the debt he owed. But Childe was feeling a bit merciful today "Tell you what I'll give you some more time on one condition." Wei Xing, his target, was confused. The Fatui giving a bit of leverage? Still, he would be an idiot to refuse "And that condition is....?"
Childe chuckled at his quick response. It's natural after all. All of his intimidation must have triggered his survival instincts. "Just answer me this. Who was that singer with a Hydro Vision?" Wei Xing was baffled. That's all he wanted? "A-as far as I know, t-their name is (Y/N). They're a performer that was passing by Liyue to gain more popularity across Teyvat." Childe hummed as he hears it. 'A travelling performer huh? Looks like I'll have to act quick if I want to meet them' There was moment of silence before he asked another question "When are they leaving?" "I-in a few days"
Childe let him go and as promised gave him more time for him to pay his debt. Should he fails again to do so.....he'll be history. He only had a few days to meet and talk to you so he has to be quick. Thankfully being a Fatui Harbinger does have it perks. One of those perks being having informants that can collect informations for you. And since this is no top secret info, it was quite easy to find out where you were staying and exactly how many days before you were gone.
As he wait for you at the road that led guests from Wangshu Inn to Liyue, he thought of what you might say. Maybe you'll recognise him right away? Or perhaps you were too innocent to notice the horrors of the Fatui. As he notices your figure walking on the horizon, he prepared to greet you casually. But then he was perplexed by your outfit. It seemed less travelling performer and more of a......fighter? Interesting. He drops the idea of greeting you and opted to follow your path instead.
He followed you until you reached a domain that was near one of the ruins. You stood in front of the entrance as he awaits your next move, intentionally letting his presence seep out. "You're not doing that much of a great job to hide yourself, Fatui. Or is it intentional?" Childe walks out from the spot he was hiding in and approached you slowly while saying "Well, isn't this a surprise? I just happened to be passing b-" His actions stopped midway as your pointed a spear at him. "Not a step closer, what do you want?"
Your starred pupils were sharped and narrowed. It held an intense emotion in it. Childe held up his hands in some sort of mock surrender and laughed a bit "Hey now! There's no need to get aggressive, is there? I was just curious why someone like you is doing here. Not exactly a good place to perform isn't it?"
"That's none of your business."
"Are you gonna go inside this domain?"
"...."
"If so, can I follow?"
"No."
"Please?"
"I said no."
"I'm very good at fighting you know. It'll be a shame if someone like you gets inju--"
Your spear was closer to him now. Threatening to slice him open any minute you wanted to. It didn't faze him at all. In fact it made him thrilled. He knew there was something about you that was enchanting and perhaps this was it. An unrelenting fighting spirit. In a blink of an eye, he immediately summoned his hydro javelin and parried your spear. You backed away in surprise but kept your guard up.
"Listen I have no time for you Fatui. Leave me be. I have more important matters to attend to." Childe just gave a fox-like grin at your attempt to intimidate him. "Is that so? Like what exactly?" You rolled your eyes at him. He was getting annoying for sure. "Like I said, none of your business." It looks like you might have to halt your plans for tonight. The Abyss Order can wait. "So, what are you gonna do little star?" Without warning you immediately engulfed yourself in a torrent of water and disappears. Childe was shocked when he sees it but still grinned. If you wanted to be a challenge then so be it. If he can't bother you during your 'missions' then he'll bother you during the day.
And that is exactly what he did.
For two days straight he kept trying to talk with you whenever you were out visiting the Liyue Harbour. At first you tolerated him but now he was insufferable. You were glad you were leaving as soon as possible next day but Childe was not having any of that. In just the span of two days his little curiosity had turned into a tsunami of obsession. Your expressions and reactions not to mention the little heart warming moments he saw you cheering up some of the kids in Liyue. He wants to know even more of you.
And precisely why he is fighting you right now.
As he has deducted, your move was as graceful as your dance. Your fighting style was as unique as your eyes. Something he has never seen before. You dodged his flurry of arrows, panting while doing so. How long has he fought you? It felt like an eternity. You tried to dash to him and deliver a swift strike but him and his stupid shield won't let you. You jumped back just in time before he strike his hydro swords at you. You can't even get an elemental advantage here, you had to mostly rely on your weapon.
"Well (Y/N), it's been a fun fight really. But why don't you surrender now? You're tired aren't you? I promise things will go smoothly if you just give up."
You didn't want to. There's no way you'll give up. What does he wants with you anyway? You only stared down at him in silence, refusing to answer. "Ah, stubborn now aren't we? I guess I'll have to use a little force...." He activated his Delusion and immediately dashed towards you, giving you no time to react. The electricity made you groan in pain. You use your spear as a stabiliser from falling to the ground but you were running out of energy at this point.
Before you could fall, Childe took a hold of your body. "See? It's not that hard to give up." You wanted to mutter a remark but darkness shrouded your vision before you fainted. You woke up in an unfamiliar room. Certainly not Liyue's architecture nor your homeland's. Your first thought was to look for an escape.
The door was locked.
Windows were barred.
The wardrobe had the clothes you brought with you across Teyvat along with some new ones.
There was a chain at your leg that's long enough to get you to the bathroom.
Your Vision and weapon was missing.
You waited in silence, pondering what to do. You certainly can't escape like this. But then you heard the door open. And as expected it was him. "Did you had a good sleep? You were knocked out for a while there." You scowled at him "Drop the act, where am I?" Childe hummed before answering "You're in Snezhnaya of course! Where else would I bring you? I'm quite lucky to be able to bring you here and visit my siblings! Say would you like to visi--" "Why would I do that?"
His grin dropped and his eyes stared at you. His eyes was....hollow...empty...devoid of any humanity in them. He walked towards you and you instinctively stepped back. He had you trapped against a wall. He lifted up your chin and let out a small but terrifying smile "Well, because your fate is in my hands. There's nothing you can do now, is there? But I'll forgive your behaviour for now.....if you sing that is."
You hated it. You hated the fact he was right. So you had no choice but to stay obedient and be his 'little songbird' until you found a window of opportunity. He lets go of your chin and sat down on a chair. With a heavy heart, you opened your mouth to sing.
You are the ocean's gray waves
Destined to seek life beyond the shore
Just out of reach
Childe smiled as you sing. He's sure you'll come around and fall in love with him soon enough.
Yet the water ever change
Flowing like time
The path is yours to climb
Shame that you can't meet his family yet. They would've love you. He can't wait for that day to arrive though. He can't help but feel joy. His little songbird, all his and no one else.
You are the ocean's gray waves.

"Play the Game" Masterlist
The sun hasn’t even risen when Nanami came to consciousness as usual. It did not matter whether he was on vacation or working, he just automatically wakes up at the same time each and every morning without miss. It’s regardless of whether he slept enough or not. He saw no point in tarrying in bed it was unproductive – and immediately got up without skipping a beat in his routine.
“You’re too vanilla,” he remembered you commenting when you stayed one weekend at his place in the city for an art symposium, having met him on the hallway on your way to bed after staying up all night playing video games. He just brushed your remark off with a grunt back then, but at present, he couldn’t help but muse over the fact that everything he did reminded him of you.
It was a bit light outside when he emerged from the adjoining bath of the guest room. He threw on a pair of grey sweats and a white shirt and grabbed a water bottle and a small towel on his way out of the room, mind set on going for a run. If there was something great about staying at Gojo Manor, it was the fact that it was surrounded with acres of grassland and forest with trails great for walks and jogs.
Nanami particularly grew fond of the path that led to the lake at the bottom of the hill where the mansion stood. There was a direct view of it from the balcony at the back of the structure, appearing like a jewel in the middle of the woods, and it had always been his favorite spot. The late former clan head told him it was man-made and has been there for more than a century that it became a natural feature of the estate. It was a spot in the property with a great history and great value to the clan, thus his gravitation towards it.
It’s her favorite place in the whole estate, too, he thought indulgently.
Inhaling deeply, he set out to the back doors that led to the patio and the walled gardens, starting in a slow jog before building his momentum as he reached open grounds.
And thus, his day began as such.
He came back from his run when it was already too hot, heaving deep breaths and desperate for a shower as his white shirt and grey sweats stuck to his body, drenched in sweat. His leg muscles ached, but it had been a good run.
Greetings from the staff met him as he reentered the manor which he returned with polite nods. He was headed to the stairs when he passed by the breakfast room and happened to hear Gojo talking to you. It went against his principles to eavesdrop in an evidently private conversation but he stayed rooted on his spot upon hearing you speak.
Despite your seeming foul temper upon leaving him the previous night, you seemed to have bounced back to your usual self, your tone sounding more jovial than usual. Your words were at odds to your tone as you told Gojo not to piss you off so early in the morning.
"Are you sure there's nothing going on between you and Kento?" Gojo asked just as the person in question was about to pass the doorway.
"It's really none of your business," you responded, voice devoid of any emotions. He did it, Gojo. He finally fouled up your mood.
"But I'm your brother!" Gojo protested, acting all dumb around you again. He just had that complex where you were concerned. He has always been very soft on you yet he was also fiercely protective. You hated his attention though. Yours was a strange dynamic.
"Worry about your wedding, will you? Geez. Don’t you have a luncheon to host?"
"Why did you kiss him then? On the mouth no less!"
Nanami’s heart skipped a beat, anticipation rising like cold water from his toes going up his chest. He wanted to hear what you had to say. Fuck principles. He needed his answers, too. It did not matter in what way he was getting them at that rate. He was secretly hoping you will say something a little bit more revealing about what goes inside your head given that he cannot just pry inside it even if he wanted to.
"Because I wanted to." You stated it so matter-of-factly that Gojo was at a loss for words for a moment. “Didn’t you hear me? I was dying to do that since he arrived.”
“You’re not serious, are you?”
“You tell me.” That’s becoming your signature line. “You won’t understand unless you kiss, Nanamin, too,” the tenor of your words turning fanciful. “He has such an alluring taste to him.”
What is this woman on about?
“Oh, god, stop it!”
"You should have seen the looks on your faces though. I was half expecting your eyeballs to roll on the floor. Wouldn’t that have been grand? It’s definitely shocking but a good subject for art if not a medium." At that, you laughed, the sound hitting Nanami like tinkling bells. It was such a happy sound that reminded him of better days although the thought that prompted it was utterly macabre. “Maybe that should inspire my next work. It would be like Munch’s The Scream, the next of its kind.”
"Hmm. Good point…” Gojo mumbled, sidetracked, obviously sharing your sentiments on the idea of such grotesqueness, but regained his composure just as quickly. “It's not funny!"
"But it is." Your laughter subsided as quickly as it erupted from your throat as if it wasn't even there to begin with. Your capricious nature was surfacing once more, and if there was something that was more frightening than your strong, habitual liking for trifling with people, it was that. "So what if I have other intentions behind it? Are you gonna get mad at me or something?”
"Well, do you?!" Gojo sounded like a manatee on the throes of death.
“But what are you going to do, brother? Stop me perhaps?"
He of all people should know just how unstoppable you were when you have set yourself into doing something. “N-no –”
“And what if Nanamin has the same intentions? What will you do then?”
“Hey, that’s enough of you. I know you’re trying to trap me into saying something again.” He clucked his tongue. “I seem to be the only one who isn’t in on your games, and if it is one, I have to know. You’re just way too outrageous these days that I cannot tell what’s serious and what’s not anymore.”
Gojo took a deep breath, sounding distressed as he exhaled. “Is there something else going on?”
"Maybe,” you answered noncommittally.
"That's not an answer at all!" he snapped.
You clucked your tongue, sounding irritated. "Stop screaming, Satoru."
"Do you like him?"
“Is your emphasis on that word supposed to change its meaning?”
If Nanami’s heart was skipping earlier, it has now stopped completely, robbing him of air as it seemed to have affected his lungs, too. You were maddening, not only to Gojo but to him as well. It was evident that you were in your gaming mood again, and although you were only intentionally riling your brother, he was also directly in your line of assault.
Gojo sighed in defeat, mirroring Nanami’s feelings. “Y/N, please, just answer the question,” he whined.
“I guess.” There was a pause then you said, "I mean, what's not to like?"
"What?!"
“Like it or not, Nanamin is a very excellent specimen of the male populace. He’s fucking irresistible and that’s an understatement.” You scoffed. "Even you like him."
Your voice was followed by your footsteps as you neared the door. In a daze at your vocal expression of how you find him physically attractive, instead of backtracking, Nanami stepped forward and collided with your form, nearly knocking you off your feet. He was after all twice your size and a good foot taller than you.
"Careful," he said between deep breaths, one arm securing you by the waist while his other arm gripped onto the door jamb, the position making the veins and sinews of his arm rather pronounced.
“Speak of the devil…” You straightened up, not making any effort to hide the fact that you were checking him out. Your head turned towards the direction of the breakfast room, making him mimic the action only to see Gojo standing slack-jawed, watching what was unfolding before him with eyes wide with shock. Nanami could've sworn his best friend just went into a state of catatonia.
"Didn't see you there," you said, addressing Nanami, your blue eyes assessing him as if in suspicion.
"I'm sorry," he muttered under his breath, feeling the tips of his ears heating up. Before you could notice, he stepped aside, heading towards the direction of the stairs.
"Hey, Nanamin," you suddenly called, making him halt and turn his head to your direction. You were smirking at the direction of your brother as you said, "Nice ass."
He shook his head. It was really just a ploy to get to Gojo’s nerves, and he was your pawn.
**
The sound of graphite scratching on paper like a harsh slash of sword punctuated the impending absence of thought in your mind. Nothing mattered but the sight of your hand gripping a pencil as it created unintelligible strokes on the plain page of the sketchbook on your lap. It progressed to furious scribbling, your movements becoming faster, the sound dominating your corner of the room. Everything has been drowned out – the endless chattering, the sound of porcelain and silverware hitting each other in chaotic cacophony – heightening in a painful crescendo of auditory abomination and dying in the air, overwhelmed by the picture you were creating on the blank expanse of space.
“You must be so proud of your daughter.”
Scratch.
“Who wouldn’t be? It must be great to have geniuses for children”
Scratch.
“She’s just as famous as Satoru.”
Scratch.
Just like that, they didn't exist. The room was empty save for you and the view outside the window coming to life on paper. Your eyes darted from your sketch to the familiar yet equally exhilarating view just outside the parlor. Gojo was animatedly talking about something, easily excitable as always. His fiancée laughed on the side while Nanami was witheringly eyeing him, stoic as always. Shoko, who arrived the previous evening, also joined the group. All that was missing was Geto. You wondered if you should draw him somewhere in the sketch.
The image before you reminded you of those days when reality seemed far away, back when Gojo was still a student, exceptional as always but still young, not the renowned genius tycoon he was at present. His friends would always be around him, lounging around the manor like they hadn't a care in the world.
His crowd grew in number with Geto and Nanami being the two closest pals he had. Shoko joined in shortly in middle school. On the other hand, Utahime came during his university days, also starting off as Gojo’s friend and eventually becoming his girlfriend. Now they were about to get married and it seemed to punctuate all the changes that came with being the grown-ups that they are.
It scared you.
Fact is, growing up and growing old and the changes that come with it was terrifying. Even if you yourself were already twenty four, seemingly had your life together and appearing to have matured without a hitch, that wasn’t the case at all. Genius or not, your brother also had his issues even while he was rising to his current position in society.
The problem was within you, you knew it. That and the fact that you did not really know what growing means. Your work grew, matured like crazy. You didn’t think you yourself grew, stuck in those days when everything was relatively easier. At least then, you only had to worry about your classmates hating on you. Now a part of the public did.
Looking at Gojo and his gang, they’ve all handled that well, making you wonder how they did it. He is one of the youngest CEOs in the country, having built his business empire at just seventeen. Your future sister-in-law is a professor, Geto is a sought-after model and Shoko is a forensic pathologist. They were all great at what they did, struggled as well, but came out with perfect grace.
However, you think the best one out of them was none other than the object of your pining – Nanami Kento. The man made transitioning to adulthood look rather easy. Maybe it was because he had always been mature and held himself in perfect equilibrium. Sure, he was no Gojo Satoru, but he was innately intelligent and became one of the youngest barristers who held the position of a famous attorney’s partner. He handled controversial cases and is one of the best prosecutors in the country with a high winning percentage. His work aside, he seemed to have the least struggle out of everyone.
Your lips curled up at the corners at the thought of the man. Your gaze flicked to him from the sketchbook, sitting there with a beverage in his hand, the noon sun glimmering on his hair and the planes of his face, looking more laid back without a blazer on. He was dressed rather casually in a pair of khaki trousers and dusty blue button-ups, but he still looked smart. He always dressed that way which you found very attractive although seeing him in more casual clothes like that morning was another level of hot altogether. He’s quite a bit formal, making him seem monotonous, but it’s that consistency that you liked about him. It was only a bonus that he was devastatingly handsome with those sharp features and the suits made him look so sexy in that it left everything about his real physique to imagination.
One just could not get enough of him, at least you couldn’t, but you did see how his partner’s paralegal eyeballed him all the time. (You secretly wanted to gouge her eyes out.) That’s the kind of man Nanami was. He doesn’t speak much, but when he does, it leaves profound dents to one’s psyche. And man, was he hot in court! He’s fucking sarcastic when he wants to be, to the point of being vile, but one just can’t get offended with the kind of logic he has. Once he speaks his mind, one wishes he wouldn’t stop, but he does and leaves that person craving more, his hypnotic, deep voice a rare treat. He wasn’t big on actions, wasn’t expressive, but when he does something, it’s always with purpose and precision, never over the top and always with disciplined stoicism.
You chuckled quietly, your pencil drawing perfect strokes of his hair when you were pulled out of your trance.
“Yuuji!” you heard Gojo say, pulling your attention to the direction of the window.
You broke into a grin at the mention of the name, hurriedly getting on your feet and running out of the room, deaf to your mother’s protests against your unladylike behavior – the commotion foreign to the ladies in the room who moved with the minutest rustles. You made your way out to the patio, that familiar tuft of pink hair coming into your line of vision. You sprinted through the glass doors towards the person whose name your brother called, smile wide and genuine.
“You kept me waiting long enough,” you called out, voice louder than usual. You’re hardly ever giddy nor were you easily excitable like your brother, but Itadori Yuuji was a different story altogether. You loved the boy with a fierceness akin to a mother and were always ecstatic to be around him but suppressed it by acting gruff. You were crazy like that.
“That’s because you won’t help me with my final requirements,” he retorted good-naturedly, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and nuzzling the back of your head as if you were a fuzzy plush toy, making you drop your drawing implements. Well, you were considerably smaller than him, and he was probably the only one who could do that to you and get away unscathed.
You rolled your eyes, noticing how Gojo had picked up your stuff, looking at the page where it was opened. “You should exert yourself more. You’re no genius after all.”
“That’s mean!”
You smirked at him, your eyes straying to your brother who was smiling at your drawing. He had such a proud, fond look on his face that you couldn’t do anything but stare. He has always been ever since you first held crayons and drew him as a cat. “You even included Suguru,” he cooed, pointing at the missing person you included then proceeding to show it off to his friends. “Guys, look. My baby sister drew us.”
“Surprise, surprise,” you sallied, but you were happy that he’s always showing you off.
Utahime and Shoko stood beside him, also looking at the sketch. The latter raised a thumb at your direction. “Damn, kid. You’re really great at what you do. How do you make things come alive with just a pencil?”
You smiled awkwardly. “I –”
“Give it here,” Nanami suddenly butted in, hand reaching for the sketchpad which Gojo promptly handed him.
You felt Yuuji elbowing you while you stood there, observing the man who was in possession of your drawing.
Nanami blinked then, handing it back to you. “How come I don’t have a face?” he asked, expression expectant of your response.
Annoyed, you snatched it back from him.
“It’s obviously not finished yet,” Shoko commented, but she couldn’t have been more wrong.
It was not that you cannot, but you would never draw his face. Ever. You tried tons of times if the tens of pages of sketchpads at your apartment filled with different angles and parts of him would be a basis for that. You could draw everything else about him, just not his face. No amount of contemplation and practice helped you to know why, but you attributed it to the fact that you could not do his face justice, at least in the sense that you would not be able to bring it to life as Shoko said.
Finally, you said, “I didn’t feel like drawing your face.” You turned away, dragging Yuuji with you. The boy was still giggling like a hyena until you got to the second-floor balcony where you propped yourself up on the balustrade, looking sulky.
"You might fall there, you know," he commented, jumping up the marble balustrade to join you.
"I can say the same for you," came your quiet reply. "Where's Megumi?"
“He’ll be here before lunch.” Yuuji leaned close to you with a mischievous grin on his face. “What, or rather who, is that look on your face for?”
"I think you know the answer to that."
"Did you tell Nanamin?" He addressed the man just as you did and got away with it, too, for some reason.
"Tell him what?"
He scoffed playfully. "Are you seriously playing this game with me? I'm your best buddy. I know everything."
"As irritating as that is, it's true."
Yuuji pouted at you. "I heard what you did yesterday. Why do you have to make games out of everything?"
"That's how I communicate. I thought you knew everything."
Harsh as always, he thought. "Be a normal person for once and just tell him." His brows knit together. "Well, you're anything but normal," he mused aloud. “I meant that nicely.”
You blew a raspberry. "You're just as normal as I am if you claim to be my best friend. Which you are. No take backs."
Yuuji couldn't help but smile at that. You have always been a loner and you did not mind being alone. He was grateful you wanted him around despite that.
"But you should stop doing this. He wants you. It's obvious."
"It's not that simple."
"What isn't simple? If it's Satoru, he'll understand for sure if you just try to be honest. I'm sure he just isn't for it more because he doesn't know how you feel. I mean, if I were him, I'll also protect my baby sister from my male friends. That's just how it is."
You blinked, pivoting your whole body so you were facing him.
"Well, of course, Nanamin needs to fight for it, too," he was quick to throw in, rambling to himself when he suddenly felt you reach out towards him, gently running your fingers through his pink hair. He leaned towards your touch, smiling contentedly.
"Don't worry about me. I'm fine."
"I'm not –"
You narrowed your eyes at him. "Are you seriously playing this game with me?" you asked, mimicking his words earlier. "I'm your best buddy. I know everything, one of them being the fact that you worry worse than my mother."
Yuuji jumped off the balustrade, reaching out to grab you in a bear hug despite your protestations. Just like how you were with everyone else, you shunned his affection, but he knew better than to let go when you were saying exactly that. He found that trait of yours adorable.
"You're so irritating," you hissed, flipping your platinum white hair over your shoulder when you finally managed to get off his grip but he wrapped an arm over your shoulder nonetheless, undeterred by your words.
"You know you love me."
"Shut up."
Yuuji pouted. "You sound like Megumi."
"I heard that," the person in question suddenly spoke from the direction of the entry, his deep voice making you and Yuuji turn towards him. "They're calling everyone for lunch."
Yuuji followed behind as you approached Megumi, also one of your closest friends and practically your brother, keeping you in check more than Gojo ever can.
"Guess what," Megumi said to you as you walked beside him. In one of the rare moments you would see it, he grinned and you knew it wasn't because of anything good.
"What?" you and Yuuji, who thought the same by the look on his face, chorused.
"Nobara switched your name card with Miwa's. You're now seated next to your man candy. You're welcome."
“Isn’t that more of a perk for Miwa? She’s scared shitless of Nanamin, you know.”
The three of you laughed while Yuuji could just shake his head at the inescapable trouble that will follow. His only consolation was that it’s fun when it involves you.
**
What were the odds, Nanami thought to himself. He didn't have to look twice to see whose name it was on the card on the spot next to him. He exhaled loudly, unfolding the napkin and placing it on his lap. This could only lead to hullabaloo he was not exactly in the mood to deal with especially after you just told him you did not feel like drawing his face. You sure were mean when you wanted to be.
He surveyed his vicinity. Your father, the current head of the clan from whence your blue eyes came from, was seated at the head of the table, your mother to his right, while Utahime’s parents sat to his left. It seemed to have been the only formalities observed in the arrangement. From across Nanami sat Utahime and Gojo while on his right were a couple he only knew as cousins to the Gojo main family.
He was internally pinching the bridge of his nose. You really had to be the one seated next to him and right across your annoying brother, too.
The luncheon started without you. It wasn't a formal gathering after all except they were serving a full-course meal. It was more of a way to get everyone to know one another over the week for some reason he cannot fathom, and he was glad that only your father was the one who had engaged him in a conversation, mostly about work. It was easy enough to deal with.
"Where are Y/N and her friends?" your mother asked Gojo out of the blue.
Utahime, answering for the clueless person beside her, pointed towards the direction of the door to the banquet hall where you were leisurely walking towards your designated seat with Yuuji and Megumi. The former rounded the table to sit next to Gojo.
"Still managing to be late even when you're already at the venue, baby sis?" Nanami heard Gojo say as you assumed your seat. It was evident in the way his eyes shifted from Nanami to you that your tardiness wasn't exactly the problem.
You blatantly ignored his comment and turned your attention to Nanami. "Had a good run this morning, Nanamin?"
"Just so," he answered, side-glancing at you.
"Yeah. You looked super hot this morning," you said just as Gojo was taking a sip from his wine glass.
Megumi snorted when the older male started choking on his drink while Yuuji was trying hard not to laugh.
Nanami knew he would have reacted the same way except that he had been bracing himself for whatever you will say the moment Gojo opened his mouth. Of course you will use him in your counter attack. It's yet another game, not that he was less affected by your words.
"You should have seen him, Iori," you continued, addressing your brother's fiancée. "He looks so much less uptight in casual clothes."
It didn't escape Nanami’s notice how Gojo was looking at him. He looked about ready to drop onto the floor, but paid him no mind as he leveled his mouth to your ear. "Y/N, let's not make your dear brother snap, shall we?"
"Oh, sweetheart, maybe that's what he needs right now," you deadpanned, meeting his gaze squarely, your disposition unreadable as you let your eyes linger on him longer than was deemed appropriate.
Yuuji finally laughed, earning him a kick to the shins under the table courtesy of Megumi.
What it was about you that made everything else irrelevant and nonexistent when you’re that close to him was something beyond him. You always made him lose control, tempted him to break the rules. He only knew he couldn't act on it. Most of the time anyway. He also felt like laughing, oddly enough.
Utahime just chuckled good-naturedly breaking the tension. "Since the two of you are here, I should tell you that the final fitting for your clothes for the wedding is this afternoon. So, you better go together at the shop."
"Traitor." Gojo pouted at Utahime but nobody was really paying attention to him anymore. For someone so important to society with a flawless image, the closest people around him sure were good at disregarding him when they deemed it fit.
"Okay," Nanami said, looking at you for confirmation.
It was you who looked away this time. "I'm free."
"That's set then." Utahime clapped her hands and to Nanami she cheekily said, "Maybe wear something less formal."
At that, you grinned wickedly at him. So much for avoiding trouble with you.
-end of part 2-
*I used “you” here, but since my character is Gojo’s little sister who is established to be his female clone for reasons essential to the plot, she possesses the same blue eyes and white hair. I did not exactly want to create an OC (although technically, I did by describing Y/N), but I opted for the best of both worlds in this fic, leaning more towards the literary aspect of it as opposed to it just being reader/you-oriented. I hope this isn’t iffy to anyone, and yeah, i’m not being exclusive or whatever.

Thank you so much for reading. Likes, comments and reblogs are deeply appreciated! Hope you enjoyed it.

(Power Blog #3) Elijah Who? Part 1.
Tumblr media
Elijah Who? Part 1.
Sister, Brother,
I know some or many are a bit curious, because it does seem that I just showed up out of nowhere with Power Adam (.com) and with a few good pungent messages ...
So Here's the Short Pungent Part of My Testimony, 2 Incidents:
So, years ago ... I heard from God, the Holy Spirit gave me such a strong phrase (message) and after that I just couldn't turn off the voice of God. Every time I took quality moments or time to pray, BOOM ... God was sharing/ revealing, and it was during such a time when he said that he was going to prepare me—put an Elijah Spirit on Me.
I was young and even though I grew up in a Christian House-Hold I wasn't too sure what that meant. After researching a bit in the Bible, I kind of got scared, at the time I was not spiritually mature or Biblically confident about what I was discovering, and so I let it torment me. Yes, I let the devil (so to speak) torment me with the details ... Why Me? How? When? And so, I began to deny, ignore and even question the whole experience. I also began to shut down the voice of God, How? Easy, I Just Stopped Praying LoL ... Pushing away as well any thoughts, feelings and voices coming from me or my inner man (spirit) regarding this issue ("Calling").
However, despite not praying & ignoring, noticing that my personal life was in a state of “Break Down & Confusion”, I felt so drawn to at least attend a Church occasionally, at times frequently. I guess my logic at the time was this, hearing an encouraging sermon and being in a public arena of bible reading along with praise & worship was surely going to be comforting & safe, that it would at least keep or help drown out the voice of God (attempting to personally speak to me).
But God is so clever, one day I came out of a church service with the realization that "I Can Run But I Can't Hide". While attending a church service, after ministering to the crowd—a guest speaker/ preacher (who also turned out to be a Prophet of God) called me out ...
After the sermon he looks out into the audience (listening to God) he points to several people (one at a time) and gives them a personalized prophetic word. Soon after, looking in my direction he points me out and tells me to stand up (recalling a bit). He pauses to listen … then he tells me to lift my hands up & stretch my hands out.
* And Here is The Shocker: He then tells the pastor of the church to run to me, to Smack my Hands & Bless me ... Quote: "For the Words of God Are Inside Him".
Now there are a few other details about this experience that I can share but remember this is the short version of my testimony.
The 2nd incident that also stands out: I was at another church service (in a different church), at the end of the service the pastor makes an alter call for prayer. Now there are a few chosen leaders there aside from the pastor (some with a vocal prophetic voice) that minister along with the Pastor.
Standing in the alter for prayer with countless others, one begins to lay hands on me with a much needed basic prayer for blessings & guidance, shortly after another man of God lays hands on me and begins to pray, this one prayed silently but then suddenly he begins to boldly whisper in my ear, prophesying, "A Sword & Whip! You Will Rise With Fire On Your Lips! God Is With You!"
So aside from God reaching out to me, there were other like-kind incidents; however, during that season I was still battling with intrigued excitement and with overly questioning & doubting "torment". Long-Story-Short, Years ... Later to Present Day after many running away and many “wilderness or desert” like seasons my head space is better, my emotions are better, my spiritual maturity is greater (& still evolving ...) But here is the point behind all this, what is an "Elijah Spirit?"
Well, an Elijah Spirit is referring to the like-kind Calling or Mission of a Biblical Character in The Bible (See 1st Kings Holy Bible), his mission (in short) was to call a wandered away people (the nation) with false outlooks (& "gods") back to God.
John the Baptist Had The Same Anointing, Calling The People To Repent from Wrong & Evil Actions (Sins)—Quote: “for the Kingdom of God is at Hand" (Matthew 3:1-2 Holy Bible).
What does "The Kingdom of God is at Hand" Mean?
Sister, Brother, let's quickly summarize & somewhat paraphrase a bit—review ... go way back ... The Kingdom of God (Love, Harmony, Joy & Peace) was already established, that is before it was disrupted by a self-seeking rebellion led by Lucifer and his deceived followers (Angels). Then sometime “before or after” this rebellion, God creatively expands the Kingdom on a Huge Rock ("Planet") that we all refer to as Earth. On this planet he creates diverse beings (creatures) and provision for sustainability & maintenance, then he creates man (or mankind) with a new creative intention ("twist"), these beings will be made in his image (likeness) * See the book of Genesis, Holy Bible.
Now, the mysterious part of Satan & the fallen Angels is that God doesn't destroy them, after the heavenly banishment he allows them freedom to roam around (to a degree ...?). Why? I'm not going to get into this mystery at this time, but it strongly has to do with the implementation of a new plan—'CHOICE' (a plan of choice, testing & life lessons). This is one of the reasons why he (God) planted “a Choice-Tree”—the Tree of The Knowledge of both Good & Evil and allowed Satan to access the garden as well. Anyway, again, I'll save touching on this revelatory topic (perhaps) for another time ...?
After the fall of man (listening to Satan & making a 'Wrong Choice'), God seems to sit back and just let Humanity "Be" so to speak. He allows humanity to live their lives with trial & error with the battle of good & evil within them and around them. And let's just say, "but occasionally" God would step in to help clean up a mess or get us out of a rut or a bad direction that we have put ourselves in ... (The story of Noah, The Tower of Babel are 2 great early examples).
But again and again, God continues to let time go by (letting us be), yet he never fails to step in from to time to time to give us (Humanity) a boost so to speak in the right direction ...
He reaches out to Abraham, Jacob (Israel) Joseph ... A Lot of Time Goes by and Then Suddenly This Higher Intelligence ("Alien Being") so to speak Steps in Again. Apparently This Time God Wants to Make Himself (Widely) Known and Give Humanity an Even Greater Boost in The Right Direction, a 'Greater Be' Direction so to speak (the beginning of re-establishing a Kingdom Direction) on Earth.
Hence, (the Biblical Prayer) "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done on Earth as It is in Heaven" ...
So, he introduces himself to Moses as "I AM WHO I AM" ("I AM") which seems to have a coded message, suggestion—a deep reference to his introductory declaration (but this too is a topic for another time). So (in short, as many of you already know the story), God sends Moses to liberate the descendants of Abraham who have fallen into a long season of slavery & oppression.
After a display of God's power & authority (AMAZING MIRACLES) the mission is successfully accomplished. Now this Greater Being (God) is finally ready to be very forthcoming & candid, he shares information to (again) help boost humanity in a greater direction—a heavenly direction/ a Kingdom Direction.
So, not only does he share a strong portrait or blueprint of his intended design (so to speak) but he also gives many "Do Nots" as if suggesting "Hey, I've watched you long enough let me help you establish my original objective (plan & design) a Harmonious Outlook/ a Heavenly Kingdom Extension on Earth—The Original Intended Way of Living (Life)  ... "Do Not Kill" (your fellow man), Do Not Bear False Witness (against another), Do Not Covet Your Neighbors House (Stuff???), Wife ... and so on & so on ... This event is recorded in the book of Exodus chapter 3 (Holy Bible).
I shouldn’t fail to mention that he (Moses) gets a revelation as well, that in the future another will come (a "Messiah") to reach out--help & reveal God’s will, one of the many prophecies that Jesus fulfilled (this text can be found in Deuteronomy 18:18, 19 Holy Bible).
So, God has revealed himself to humanity and has given us a profound boost—direction: ethics, values—moral codes … After that event he continues to sit back—intervene and then sit back again (“watch us”) … stepping in often or occasionally to help, guide, direct or redirect …
And he intervened by raising up and using sincere & authentic devotees (men/ women) and/ or prophets to hear and personally or publicly remind, reveal or expand information—knowledge/ wisdom; just to randomly name a few: Elijah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Samuel, Anna, Deborah … John the Baptist … John of Patmos (the book of Revelation).
So “the Kingdom of God is at Hand” means that “On Earth as It is in Heaven” has been and is on the move, Getting Closer & Even Closer …
The End of Age or Time is Getting Closer & Closer … This Life-Lesson Schooling Ground (On Earth) is Coming to a Close (Ending) … Judgement Day is Drawing Nearer & Nearer … And it all officially started once God began to step in to deal with Man (address the condition of mankind) from Abraham to Moses and so on … from John the Baptist to Jesus …
And this is why John (the Baptist) preparing the way for Jesus, Cried Out “Repent, Repent (and be baptized) for the Kingdom of God is at Hand”, meaning that with Jesus arrival the end of this age is getting closer & closer …
* “Repent” simply meaning, ask for pardon (forgiveness) and change your outlook toward embraced wrong or evil thoughts/ actions. By doing this, it will help you begin to embrace higher thoughts (good & right thinking) & higher actions (doing good & right) instead.
Amen, what’s great about Jesus coming to earth, teaching & affirming himself as the long awaited messiah, then sacrificially paying the kind of price we deserve (himself) for us all, resurrecting and then departing (to “go and build a place for us”) is that by doing so he has left us the Holy Spirit to help us do what's right, do good (“Greater Be”).
* Jesus said the gospel must be preached throughout the world and then the end will come … (Matthew 24:14 Holy Bible).
Surely since then generations and specific regions have heard the gospel and time has gone by and by as prior generations and even this generation have come to witness “End of Time” prophecies being fulfilled. Heralding that we are now even closer to the end of age and at the brink of the Kingdom of Heaven that is to come (“On Earth as it is in Heaven”).
Dear Reader, one of the greatest signs fulfilled or practically fulfilled is that about 95 to 98% of the whole world already know about Jesus; however, (the Holy Spirit has informed me that) something is missing …?  Too many “Though Seeing—They Do Not See—Though Hearing They Do Not Hear”, too many are not grasping—fully understanding the Authenticity nor the Grandeur of what Jesus Christ did/ represents and are therefore lacking faith or a strong faith in the Godly Restoration plan of salvation—that begins here as well while we are on earth. The awakening growth, life-giving and altering journey …
The security for eternal life & the life changing process (with the help of God’s Holy Spirit) has been tainted with religious works, religious division & competition and therefore individuals are taught and too many have come to wrongly believe and embrace that (the restoration gift & the teachings of Jesus) as a way of life can only be achieved and attained through a way of church or to be more specific through “the (so called) right way” of someone’s church.
We must take (the spirit behind the letter) into consideration and realize that the reason why the early church gathered for meetings in random or in specific places to meet was because they were under negative scrutiny & persecution. Also, not only to encourage & motivate each other but to send them out to proclaim the good news (the gospel), meetings were established as well to educate new comers with biblical history (the witnessed & recorded events): from Adam & Eve to Moses, from Moses to Jesus, the recorded promises of God, the comforting & faith building scriptures and so on …  And is why ...
(Dear Reader, Get Ready This is About To Get Quite Intersting and Very Informative, along with a Pertinent Warning inspired from Above & From Biblical Scriptures and it All Continues & Ends in Elijah Who? Part 2.)
Question: What Does (The Spirit of) Elijah, Jesus Christ and the Anti-Christ Have in Common? 🤔
In Part 2. Vital Information That Your Pastor, Priest or Preacher is very likely not sharing with you and why?
Also in Part 2. An Added Bonus of Information that the Holy Spirit Suddenly Insisted That I (Must) Include ...
* "Knowledge is Power" and We Are That Generation ... a Power Generation!
* See Ya in Part 2.
