I could see them adopting that girls baby in the normal run of things except they had an entire scene talking about IVF. Why would that be included if the writers aren't planning on going that route?

maybe to try and distract us/a red herring convo to make the adoption more of a surprise?!?! i'm not sure, BUT i know that if i convince myself they would never go down the adoption route with this baby, i'd then end up feeling even more let down, so i have to go into all this with low expectations bc my heart can't take it otherwise asldkfjha if that makes sense???? i hope to god they DO stick with the ivf though. i also just wouldn't put it past them with their track record. i've learnt never to trust shondaland and maybe that's the almost 15 years of constant heartache!
