Hi, will you be writing a oneshot or whatever there called where hurricane comes back to life. I can’t stop thinking about it. No rush though I was just curious.

hi! i’m definitely going to write it bc i also can’t stop thinking about it but i can’t decide what direction i want to take it lol

it was originally going to be a bittersweet thing fitting into canon but i got a taste of it now i kind of just want to write luke and hurricane fluff with no strings attached lmao. so we’ll see where it goes

like what do u imagine it like? or is she like the permanent background noise whenever luke or percy are singing?

do you think luke would have a song about the daughter of poseidon he met at the aquarium?

i don’t think she would have her own song because she’s not alive and really relevant to the plot tbh, but she is definitely always there in the background singing in luke and percy’s songs and doing what she does best in haunting the narrative 🫶

but i do think luke would get an extra song about her because she’s such an important part of his life (and extra explanation for why he betrays camp), maybe between their sign and and put you in their place? where percy asks about her and luke has no choice but to break into song 💀 either a sad ballad on his own or a sad duet between him and percy as they reminisce about her together

musical! hurricane in ethereal dresses that florence and the machine wears, doing little spin dances and percy just staring at her whenever she appears

she defo would have a moment where she sings in Good Kid.

like she defo backs him up when singing bc they’re parallels to each other and their narratives are constantly woven into each other.

“Dad was never there.” and you just hear her pain in her voice because poseidon let her die. He couldn’t preserved her like Zeus did to Thalia but he didn’t and Percy probably resented him for that.

ohhhhh god you're killing me here. obsessed with the imagery of hurricane in a flowy white dress, almost always present but always kind of out of it because she's literally not there anymore. and percy (and luke) constantly staring at her but her never looking back but still singing background bc she is a part of both their stories AGH

and yes!! they are such parallels to each other (one of my faves that ive written in is hurricane fake-crying and using sob stories to get sympathy at the aquarium just like percy did to get plane tickets) and every time poseidon treats him like a son and shows him love it hurts because why is he worthy of all this? why does he get to live when his sister doesn't?

it's actually heartbreaking because they can literally never exist together. percy is the child of the prophecy, he is the one to reach 16, so there's just no way to save her. poseidon doomed her before she ever even had a chance

if hurricane was in the lightning thief musical, i can vividly imagine her having the sorta role of back up vocals— you know like majorie’s little singing moment during that song —- like imagine how gut wrenching it is to represent that fact she’s always in the story even when she’s physically not there

and i love this!! her always being on stage during group numbers probably dressed in all white to signify that she’s dead asf and percy glancing at her every so often bc he’s always thinking about her 💔 and she’s there during the weirdest dream too

and omg during the last day of summer she comes on stage when luke is revealing his plan and he stops for a second so they can reach out for each other but she’s just out of reach 💔💔

thinking about how awful it is that luke watched hurricane die in his arms but thinking about how awful it would’ve been if she died before he got there. if he got there and she was gone and he’d always be haunted by the fact that she died alone and he couldn’t even be there to protect her let alone comfort her in her final moments

yep yep yep!! it’s really just a double edged sword because it’s horrific holding the love of your life as she dies but at least he was able to say goodbye and they told each other “i love you” like five times before she was officially gone. if he showed up after she was already dead he would be even more destroyed because he doesn’t get even the smallest semblance of closure. and it also means hurricane died alone not knowing if luke was safe or not

luke just blames himself man. if i had just been faster, if i didn’t let her go out on her own, if we stayed in today, if i convinced her to stay at camp over the school year — the guilt runs very deep 💔

au where hurricane rises from the dead somehow but she has like zero memories of her life and it’s pure chaos bc everyone remembers her (bar percy but he at least has dreams of her) and slowly she’s remembering life and remembers luke and goes through the grief of not being able to see him

this is crazy because it would actually be the most chaotic thing to happen ever. like maybe more than thalia coming back lmaoo. percy would fucking SOB and mama hurricane would lose her mind

her having to remember her whole life and everything that happened and her love for luke after everything he’s done??? she’s in the infirmary constantly because that whole thing is being monitored and percy is always visiting her bc SISTERRR and one day she’s like “there’s this boy in so many of my memories. luke castellan. i think i loved him. is he here?” and percy is just like 👁️👁️

if it happens pre-luke’s death then it’s just a constant war of who has to end up telling her that he betrayed the whole camp and is working with kronos 💀 and when luke sees her for the first time he literally nearly passes out because wtf the fuck

and if it happens post-luke’s death then it’s a constant war of who has to end up telling her that he’s dead LMAO (it’s not funny)

but to lighten that up imagine she comes back as a 15 year old girl bc she died at that age and percy is 16 and she’s like ???? wtf this is illegal?? you’re my younger brother???

it would be a happy ending obviously because she’s alive and percy and her mom and annabeth and all of her friends get to have her back but also now SHE is the one that has to deal with luke’s death lmao how horrific

what is she looks like hurricane😭😭

and as she gets older percy (chiron, annabeth,hurricanes mother, even poseidon) have to remind themselves that it’s NOT her, maybe she even has a random quirk that hurricane had and it actually makes percy’s heart HURT because his daughter looks so much like someone who he holds SO MUCH love for, that he’s never even gotten to meet

also screamed out loud when i saw this because why are YOU DOING THIS TO ME

bc hurricane is first and foremost a reader character she doesn't have a set appearance but i do agree that she would have some of hurricane's mannerisms because hurricane and percy were very alike (especially as chaotic 12 year olds lmao)

i agree with girldad percy he would be the best in the world. and i always mention hurricane having a smile like pure sunshine all throughout her life so i think it would be very fitting if percy's daughter had a smile just like hurricane's

and she is told stories about her super cool aunt as she grows up <3

so you know how in TLO percy had a dream (more like astral projection but wtv) when he was in rachel’s bedroom and she had painted a picture of young luke before he had his scar, do you think she ever had a dream about hurricane?

i like to imagine she did and she painted it, and then once the realized that was percy’s younger/older dead sister she gave it to him😭😭

YOU ARE A GENIUS BECAUSE 100% OH MY GOD??? like hurricane is one of the main reasons that luke has gone down this path so even though she's not around anymore she is haunting the narrative soooo hard. she's connected to both the main protagonist and main antagonist she is everywhere

and also percy has a lowkey breakdown when she gives it to him lmao

you know what i just thought about and it breaks my heart?

tyson, percy, and, hurricane

first thought) percy had always wanted a sibling (aka hurricane to come back so he can meet her) so when tyson comes in and we all saw how he treated him in the beginning of the book once he realized he was his cyclops brother.. percy is just thinking about how THIS ISNT FAIR!! he can have a little sibling, that just reminds him of how he can NEVER meet hurricane..

and then at the end of the book when they’re (percy and tyson) okay again, he’s just thinking about how hurricane would’ve been so disappointed in him for treating tyson the way he did, and now he (in his self guilt) is always trying to make it up to him ☹️☹️

ALSO i don’t really remember how annabeth and hurricanes relationship is (i mean i remember how she didn’t like her really at first because of thalia and stuff) but i imagine in this universe annabeth has REALLY complicated feeling for tyson in the beginning, because on one hand it reminds her of thalias death, but he’s also a child of poseidon which reminds her of hurricane and all of the times they had but also her death, and she knows that hurricane wouldn’t want her to treat tyson the way she did in the beginning but she can’t help it

the percy tyson hurricane thoughts are so real bc after percy finds out about hurricane he's just losing his mind bc she's the sister he never got to know and then he meets tyson and he has such mixed feelings because he has a sibling that's alive but also is kind of ashamed because he's a cyclops and then feels so guilty for feeling ashamed because he has a brother and he's alive!! and he def works through that with tyson and talks to him about hurricane and they mourn her together bc they both wish they could've gotten to know her

annabeth was basically like a younger sister to hurricane!! she was a little jealous at first because of her lil crush on luke and how much luke always talked about her on the road but then annabeth met her for the first time (she was literally the first person she talked with when she got over the hill during thalia's sacrifice) and got to actually know her and they became pretty fast friends. annabeth def looked up to hurricane (and eventually fully supported their relationship) and was devastated when luke came back with the news

he JUST got her back after losing her once, and RIGHT after thalia died did he get her back..

so he found his reason to live again AND THEN SHE FUCKING DIES

luke is literally constantly going through it because he finds her like 2 months after running away from home and they run together for the next 3 years then they get separated and they both assume the other is dead then 2 years later he gets to camp and thalia dies but he also finds hurricane again but they only get like. a year and a half together before hurricane dies 😔😔😔

like just when he’s starting to be happy again with hurricane he loses everything it’s truly horrific

i had all and then most of you some and now none of you is literally them are you kidding me!!!! all of her then he lost her then he got her back then he lost her again for real. and he is actually haunted by the ghost of her bc he sees hurricane in his dreams and nightmares. when will the pain end
