Returning Players Back In FC 25
Some of our favourite players will be making their return to Ultimate Team this year and we can’t wait to get them into Evolutions… All of these players have now returned to clubs that are included in FC 25 so we see no reason for them not to be included. Before we get started we do need to mention one omission, Alex Morgan announced her retirement last night meaning we don’t think we’ll be seeing her in FC 25.
Icons
Two of the big names in the Icon Class of 25 are Gianluigi Buffon and Gareth Bale. Some of our favorite players are now Icons, we’re getting old now and it’s not fun. It won’t be long before we see Messi and Ronaldo back as Icons…
Heroes
Arguably the Hero lineup for FC 25 looks more exciting than the Icons, with Hazard, Hamsik, and Maicon coming back just to name a few. The full list of heroes returning to Ultimate Team includes; Jamie Carragher, Guti, Marek Hamsik, Eden Hazard, Tim Howard, Maicon, Blaise Matuidi, Mohammed Noor, and Ze Roberto.
Luis Suarez
After linking up with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami last season we did expect Suarez to be added half way through 24 but we were left disappointed. Hopefully, after 9 months of MLS action, we’ll be seeing Luis in Ultimate Team from day one this year.
David De Gea
The Spaniard left Manchester United in 2023, and since then David De Gea has found it hard to find a new club and in fact had to wait more than 12 months to find a suitor. He headed to Italy to join up with Fiorentina in an attempt to revive his career, looks to be a really solid Serie A option, especially for your starter teams!
James Rodriguez
The boy is back. After a 3 year stint away from Ultimate Team, with Al-Rayyan, Olympiakos, and Sao Paulo, James Rodriguez is back on our consoles. After an incredibly successful Copa America where he’d register MOTM in nearly enough every game and take home the Player of The Tournament award, he’s landed a move back to Spain with Rayo Vallecano.
Jesse Lingard
JLingz has been enjoying life in South Korea for the past season and with that we expect him to be included in FC 25. Unfortunately, we do think he’ll receive a slight downgrade to a Silver but just like all of these players, one Evo or SBC will make them incredible.
Arturo Vidal
Vidal x Boateng x Alaba was a FIFA 17 partnership for the ages and with the Chilean’s move to Colo-Colo in January of this year, it could be his time to return. This is one we think is nailed on for a couple of special cards, especially an early Flashback…
Douglas Costa
We said the same thing last year and he didn’t arrive, but even after a year and a half in MLS, Douglas Costa wasn’t added to FC 24. He has just made the switch to Australia, singing with Sydney FC so hopefully, this is the year we see his return. Just don’t ask what he’s up to off the pitch…
Juan Mata
A late entrant to this list is Juan Mata, with his move to Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League being announced yesterday. This is the one player we’re a little unsure about returning. In each of the last two seasons, he has been eligible for inclusion in UT after lining up for Vissel Kobe and Galatasaray, but just like his move down under, these have been completed in September which might just be too late to be added to the database.

In the preseason, FC Dallas defeats Inter Miami 1-0 despite Lionel Messi playing into the second half.
In a surprise twist to their preseason encounter, FC Dallas upended Inter Miami 1-0 on Monday night, leaving Lionel Messi and his star-studded teammates empty-handed despite playing into the second half.
The lone goal of the game came early, with Jesús Ferreira finding the net just three minutes after the opening whistle. Inter Miami, boasting the likes of Messi, Luis Suarez, and Blaise Matuidi, failed to convert their dominance in possession into goals, despite applying significant pressure in the second half.
Messi and Inter Miami Fail to Fire Despite Second-Half Surge
Despite Messi's presence and a flurry of chances in the second half, Inter Miami couldn't find an equalizer. The Argentine maestro had three shots on target, including a free-kick that rattled the crossbar, but his magic touch wasn't enough to break the deadlock.
Inter Miami controlled possession for much of the game, but struggled to create clear-cut opportunities. Suarez and Gonzalo Higuaín both had decent chances, but their finishing lacked sharpness. In the end, FC Dallas held firm to secure a morale-boosting victory against a team expected to compete for MLS honors this season.
Key Takeaways:
FC Dallas's efficient finishing proved decisive, while Inter Miami's wastefulness cost them.
Messi's presence wasn't enough for Inter Miami to overcome a sluggish attack.
The result serves as a wake-up call for Inter Miami in their preseason preparations.
Looking Ahead:
Both teams will continue their preseason preparations with upcoming matches. For FC Dallas, this victory against a formidable opponent bodes well for their regular season aspirations. Inter Miami, on the other hand, will need to address their finishing woes and defensive lapses before the season kicks off.
This preseason encounter, while friendly in nature, provided a glimpse into the potential of both teams. FC Dallas showed resilience and clinical finishing, while Inter Miami's star power needs to translate into results on the pitch. The real test for both teams will come when the MLS season kicks off in March.

Biggest Moments in Soccer History
Biggest Moments in Soccer History https://ift.tt/EeI9avq Soccer, known as football in many parts of the world, has witnessed countless iconic moments throughout its rich history. From stunning goals to historic victories, these moments have left an indelible mark on the sport and captivated fans worldwide.  Here are some of the most significant moments in soccer history that have become legendary in the hearts of fans. “The Goal of the Century” (1986):  Just four minutes after the “Hand of God” goal, Maradona scored the greatest goal ever in a World Cup. Before slotting the ball into the net, he dribbled past five English players, showcasing his exceptional skill and control. This remarkable individual effort sealed Argentina’s victory and solidified Maradona’s status as a soccer legend. The Miracle of Istanbul (2005): In the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool and AC Milan, Liverpool trailed 3-0 at halftime. However, they staged a remarkable comeback, scoring three goals in the second half to force extra time and eventually win the match in a penalty shootout. This stunning comeback is remembered as the “Miracle of Istanbul” and remains one of the greatest comebacks in soccer history. Zinedine Zidane’s World Cup Final Performance (1998):  Zinedine Zidane delivered a masterclass performance in the 1998 FIFA World Cup match between France and Brazil. He scored two goals with his head, leading France to a resounding 3-0 victory and their first-ever World Cup title. Zidane’s dominance in the final made him a national hero and cemented his place as one of the game’s greatest midfielders. The “Hand of God” (1986):  Similar to Maradona’s infamous goal, Luis Suarez’s handball during the quarter-final match between Uruguay and Ghana in the 2010 FIFA World Cup was another defining moment. In the last play of the match, Suarez blocked a goal-bound shot with his hand, resulting in a red card. Ghana missed the subsequent penalty, and Uruguay eventually won in a penalty shootout, denying Ghana a historic place in the semi-finals. Germany’s 7-1 Victory over Brazil (2014):  In the 2014 FIFA World Cup semi-final match, Germany produced a stunning display of attacking football, dismantling Brazil with a 7-1 victory. The result sent shockwaves through soccer and remains the most significant defeat in Brazilian soccer history. Leicester City’s Premier League Triumph (2016):  In one of the most remarkable underdog stories in soccer history, Leicester City defied all odds to win the English Premier League title in the 2015-2016 season. Starting the season as 5000-1 outsiders, the team’s victory captivated the world and demonstrated the magic and unpredictability of the beautiful game. The “Hand of God” Redemption (2002):  In a quarter-final match of the 2002 FIFA World Cup between South Korea and Italy, Ahn Jung-hwan scored a golden goal in extra time to eliminate Italy from the tournament. It was a moment of redemption for South Korea, who had controversially benefited from a goal scored by Ahn’s opponent, Francesco Totti, in the previous World Cup. These are just a few of the countless monumental moments that have shaped the history of soccer. Each moment carries its significance, creating enduring memories for fans and ensuring that the beautiful game continues to capture the hearts and imaginations of millions around the world. Luis Suarez dies as tributes paid to Ballon d'Or winning Barcelona and Inter legend
Tumblr media
Luis Suarez dies as tributes paid to Ballon d'Or winning Barcelona and Inter legend Former Ballon d'Or and Champions League winner Luis Suarez, aged 89, has passed away. The prolific midfielder, who won the Ballon d'Or in 1960, spent six successful years at Barcelona, winning two league titles before leaving in 1961. He later joined Inter Milan and contributed to their consecutive European Cup victories under the legendary Helenio Herrera. Suarez also secured three Serie A titles during his time in Italy, amassing over 300 appearances for the renowned club. Inter Milan paid a heartfelt tribute to their beloved icon, expressing their profound sadness at bidding farewell to Luisito. "The nostalgia of his perfect and inimitable football, which in fact inspired generations, joins the memory of a unique footballer and a great, great Inter player. We will miss him, because as Helenio Herrera preached, 'If you don't know what to do, give the ball to Suarez'." A second added: "The only Spanish Ballon D'or winner, Barcelona legend Luis Suárez Miramontes has unfortunately passed away today. May he rest in peace." "RIP Luis Suárez Miramontes he was one of the best passers ever," a second tweeted. And a third added: "I'm fortunate enough to have been able to admire him. Immensely talented, he was undoubtedly one of the strongest midfielders of all time." Known as "El Arquitecto" or "The Architect," Suarez earned 32 caps for Spain, finding the net 14 times. He achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the world's most expensive footballer and the first player to command a £100,000 transfer fee when he made the move from Barcelona's Nou Camp to Inter Milan's San Siro. In a statement, Real Madrid said: "Real Madrid wants to express its condolences and affection to its relatives, its teammates, its loved ones and all its clubs… Spanish football and world football mourn their loss. Best football free transfers.
Tumblr media
At the end of the season, or midway through it, European football opens what we call a transfer window, which allows clubs to buy, sell, and loan out players. This allows clubs to boost their squads or get rid of players they don't like. It has regulations attached to it. A football free transfer typically occurs when a player's current contract expires or is about to do so. On the other hand, a free transfer in football occurs when a player switches clubs without his new club having to pay a transfer fee to his old club. This write-up lists the best free transfers we've seen in recent years. shop for football Jerseys here!
Luis Suarez
FC Barcelona - Atletico Madrid The Uruguayan forward was chased out of his former club FC Barcelona after being informed by Barca's head coach at the time (Ronald Koeman) over a phone call. After failing to join Juventus due to cheating allegations, he joined fierce rivals Atletico Madrid on September 23, 2022. He was FC Barcelona's third highest goal scorer at the time. His time at Atletico Madrid was a beautiful one, as he won a La Liga trophy, while also breaking records there, including scoring his 500th goal. To make things more interesting, he got a goal and an assist against his former club FC Barcelona and gave an iconic celebration, which people in the media thought was a sign of getting back at Ronald Koeman for the call. He left Atletico Madrid for his childhood club, Naconial, in 2022.
Sergio Ramos
Real Madrid - PSG Sergio Ramos is regarded as one of the best defenders of all time. His goal scoring abilities, and his aggressive style of play make him stand out amongst his peers.

Despite being a captain at his former club, Real Madrid, and winning 4 UCL titles with the club, including a 3-peat, he was announced to be leaving the club after 16 years of service. On the 8th of July, European giants PSG announced the signing of the Madrid star on a free transfer, which came as a surprise to many of us. It was later said that he wanted a 2-year contract and he was offered one. However, the offer expired before he could accept it. shop for football Jerseys here!
Lionel Messi
FC BARCELONA - Paris SG Highly recognized for his creative playmaking skills and his goal-scoring ability, Lionel Messi left FC Barcelona for free. This would be the most surprising transfer news of all time! Argentine forward regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, the Argentine forward has spent his entire professional career with one club (FC Barcelona). He became the club's captain in 2018 and was expected to retire from the Spanish club. The turnaround came in 2021. Barcelona found themselves in some serious financial crisis, coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic and La Liga. They were forced to lay some players off while others had to take pay cuts. Surprisingly for us, Lionel Messi happened to be a victim, and the club wouldn't make adjustments for him. On August 10th, the 7-time Ballon D'or winner signed a two-year contract with PSG, with the option to extend it for another year.
Robert Lewandowski
Bayern Munich - FC Barcelona Polish forward, and one of the most successful Bundesliga players forced a move to FC Barcelona in 2022.
Tumblr media
Although he wasn't out of contract, he was released for a fee of 45 million euros, which is going to be considered small for a player of his caliber. Despite winning literally all the club trophies with his former club Bayern Munich, Lewandoski doesn't seem to be satisfied as he forced his way out of the German club. He stopped performing in training, doing public interviews and going against his former club and was ready to pay from his own pocket. He joined FC Barcelona on a free transfer in 2022. So far, he's been living up to expectations. Want football Jerseys like Pros wear???
Paul Pogba
Manchester United - Juventus The French player and center midfielder, Paul Pogba joined Manchester United for the first time in 2011. But the lack of playing time convinced him to leave his former club for greener pastures. He joined Serie A giants Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, where he went on to win four consecutive Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles. On a personal level, he won the Golden Boy award in 2013 and was named in the 2015 UEFA team of the year as he helped Juventus to their first UCL final in 12 years.
David Alaba
Bayern Munich - Real Madrid The current captain of the Austrian team, who plays as a center back for Real Madrid, is considered one of the best defenders of his time.
Tumblr media
After over 400 appearances with Bayern, including 2 Champions League trophies, 2 trebles and other accolades to his name, like the UEFA team of the year (which he has won 3 times). Alaba was said to be looking for a new challenge after renewal talks with his former club broke down. He joined Spanish side Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2021, as they were desperately looking for a replacement for their former defender and captain, Sergio Ramos. It won't take long for Alaba to start showing his worth, as he won the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and the Supercopa in his debut season. Some Real Madrid fans consider him their best signing in 2021. Want football Jerseys like Pros wear???
Antonio Rudiger
The German and Real Madrid center back is arguably one of the toughest CBs of his time. After 133 appearances for Chelsea, including a Champions League trophy, in which he played an important role, his time at the club would soon come to an end after being knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid. He left Chelsea for Real Madrid on a free transfer when the English club refused to meet his wage demands. His new life at the Spanish club has been a beautiful one so far. Read the full article

New Players Coming To Ultimate Team In EA FC 25
As each season passes we discover more and more wonder kids that burst onto the scene but they’re sometimes too young, or make their mark too late into the season to be added. We’ve picked out 15 of our favorite stars who didn't have an Ultimate Team card in FC 24 but will do so in FC 25. 13 players will be making their Ultimate Team debut, one returning favorite, and one potential Icon...
Returning Players
Gianluigi Buffon - With the Italian goalkeeper featuring on the cover of FC 25, it’s all but confirmed that he’ll be featuring in the new game. We’re 99.9% sure he’ll be coming as an Icon. It would be pretty weird to have him as a main cover star and just include him as a hero.
Luis Suarez - 2 thirds of MSN have been reunited in Miami and hopefully will return in FC 25. Luis Suarez was missing this year due to him only joining the club in December 2023, months into the new game. It would have been nice to see him added with the new cards (Cazorla, Sanchez etc) as he would have been perfect for some promos!
New Players
Lamine Yamal - He is that guy in world football and has only just turned 17. The Barcelona winger won Young Player of the Tournament and Euro 2024 and was well in contention for the main award. He’s already racked up 51 appearances for the Barcelona first team, we’re expecting a card similar to FIFA 18 Mbappe in terms of rating…
Olivia Smith - Liverpool’s new record signing was old enough to be included in Ultimate Team this year but was playing for Sporting CP who are unfortunately unlicensed. She was awarded Best Young Player in both the 2024 Gold Cup and Portugal's top flight last season where she scored 13 goals across 18 league games.
Kenan Yildiz - Yildiz started 4 of Turkey’s 5 matches at Euro 2024 and has been impressive for Juventus across the 23/24 season. He’s contributed to 5 goals in just under 1,000 minutes mainly featuring from the bench.
Vitor Roque - This won’t be the last Barcelona youngster to feature on our list, with Xavi handing out plenty of opportunities across the past season. The Brazilian managed to score twice towards the back end of the season, and just like Yildiz, these minutes mainly came from the bench (2 starts from 14).
Endrick - Is Endrick Real Madrid’s new superstar? The Brazilian will link up with Los Blancos for the upcoming season after two successful seasons with Palmeiras. Spanish fans will already be familiar with the name as he scored against them in a friendly earlier this year. We’ve opted for a 76 rating, but expect to see this boosted heavily via Evolutions and Promo Cards.
Lucas Beraldo - We promise this is the last of the Brazilians. Lucas Beraldo made the switch from Sao Paulo to Paris in January of this year, once again meaning it was too late to feature in FC 24. He’s been a solid addition next to Marquinhos in the back line and we expect a 76 rated for the defender in FC 25.
Aleksandar Pavlovic - The 23/24 season was a breakout year for Pavlovic but it could have been even better. He was initially included in the German squad for Euro 2024 but had to pull out just days before due to tonsillitis. We’re sure he’ll feature in many more tournaments for the Germans, but a home tournament would have been a great way to top off his season.
Fermin Lopez - Despite being 20 at the start of the season, and confirmed to be in Xavi’s plans for the upcoming season, Fermin Lopez was nowhere to be seen in FC 24 Ultimate Team. After 42 appearances for Barca this season, surely he can’t be missed out again?
Two more La Masia graduates feature in the final part of the list, one of whom has already left to join Chelsea.
Pau Curbasi
Marc Guiu
Alfie Gilchrist
Ethan Mbappe
Ethan Nwaneri
Nothing is confirmed, these are just predictions based on age and their eligibility to now be included in Ultimate Team.
