They had been looking for the body of Lucerys Velaryon for weeks. He was presumed dead as all they could find were pieces of Arrax a wing here and a talon there. Most of it was consumed by Vhagar and in the madness and storms Aemond had not seen Lucerys fall. He had fallen into the ocean nearly consumed by the waters until pirates found him. While he thought he was saved he ended up having to escape them as well. The last few weeks had been hell all while they mourned his death and started a war.

No one was looking for Lucerys anymore just occasionally staring out at the waters. Out on those waters was a floating piece of wood and what looked like a dead body on it. When she pulled him out his skin was sunburnt and his lips chapped. He was starving and desperate to drink water but he was alive. As he looks up at his sister he is certain this is death finally taking him. "Sister?" He croaks out his voice hoarse as he looks up at him.

Was this death finally coming for him? Greeting him with a familiar face as he is guided into whatever happens next? Before she can say a word to him he passes out unaware of everything that had already happened. A war started over his death but here he was in his sister's arms. He was alive barely so but he would live after this only to figure out just how bad things really were.

Jace loves all of his siblings, and is incredibly protective over them. A lot of his sense of self is in being the eldest brother over a bunch of siblings, and helping to keep them safe, along with also having a separate relationship with each of them. He is closest to Luke, because they are closest in age and because it was just the two of them for a time. He is overly protective of Joff, because he is the last one of them that is Laenor's son as well, which means the cloud of bastardy hangs over his head as it does the elder two, and he wants to shield his youngest brother, who never knew their father before his death, from the rumors. He would give his life for any of his brothers (and eventually does). He plays with the younger ones when there is time, enjoys spending time with them before they're sent away.

'did mother send you to find me?' luke should have known well enough that his mother could tell his mood was sour.

'i can't do it.' lucerys velaryon had not moved from his perch in well over an hour. his eyes remained fixed on the empty sky over dragonstone. there was not a cloud in the sky. a perfect day for flying lessons. jacaerys and the maester had taken joffrey to practice with tyraxes. every so often someone would pass by him. jace on vermax, baela on moondancer.

'even with this.' he knocked against the false leg that his mother had fashioned for him. valyrian steel was lighter than most and it made it easier for him to walk, though it was still no easy task, 'it isn't because of my leg or my arm.' he shook his head.

'the maester took me to arrax two mornings ago and i-' luke sighed, 'i could hardly look at him. how can i ride him again knowing that because i was his rider he nearly died?' the bond between rider and dragon was sacred, 'how can i fly again when i am.....' he trailed off, 'i am haunted, aerea.'

in the distance, he can make out the silhouettes of vermax and moondancer, seemingly engaging in a spirited race, 'i want more than anything to fly again but how can i when all i can think of is the jaws of vhagar emerging from the mist? i do not wish to spend the rest of my life fearing aemond and vhagar are behind me. i will not subject arrax to that either.'

violet eyes tracked seasmoke, watching as the great beast flew in circles before landing and taking off once again. the dragon seemingly as restless as she, herself felt.

there would be no avoiding war, not now after it had taken the life of two innocent children. children who should both be here. while she grieved for luke, viserra also thought of her aunt. she did not deserve such a retaliation.

footsteps caused her to turn her head slightly, not that the princess needed to see that it was her sister coming up behind her. “ do you think the dragons will survive this war? “

What controversies/drama would your character incite in fandom? / for my girlie Kat

frankly there are so many. starting off with her dynamics with men, i feel like because got isn't a show where the word lesbian even exists. i think people would debate whether she is or isn't sapphic and try shipping her with men. especially when she's canonically been briefly married to a man (even if that man is quite literally a gay man).

along the same lines i think fandom would have a LOT of trouble digesting that kat isn't like "butch" in the sense of like being not feminine like arya is. i think there would be sections of the fandom that would want to squish kat into that box when that's just not the case. it was a phase i went through too, thinking that she had to be unfeminine to be able to survive as a lesbian in her environment and as i've grown up (because fun fact i've been writing kat for like 9ish years now) i've decided i like writing her more when she's not like that. i like that she can be feminine, that she does like femininity when it's on her own terms and not something prescribed and forced onto her.

i also think people would debate a lot about her dynamics with other women. i do think there's a lot to say about her treatment of arya and sansa, but i think it would be reduced to whether she was ever a good friend to them or if her intentions with the starks were genuine rather than viewing the interactions from her perspective as well. cause if we only got arya and sansa's perspective, then they'd be more likely to view any lannister interactions as more negative. i do think people would struggle to empathize with kat after joffrey's death. because until then they'd have an obvious thing to point to and say "she's abused this is what made her this way" and when joffrey died that obvious example would disappear and people aren't exactly good with nuance. like yes, she's been abused and neglected all her life, but i don't think she or her motivations should be reduced to just that. nor is it the only reason she's deserving of empathy. people just tend to reduce female characters down to their trauma rather than viewing them as fully fledged people.

one positive though is that i think there would be a small sect of people who'd want kat on the iron throne.

Harwin never could have imagined this would happen. He thought he would have forever at his children's side. He of course needed to go back to Harrenhall but they would write and he would show back up one day. He hadn't had the choice though his children the youngest just a newborn and he was taken from their lives.

"I am simply happy to still be on your mind after all this time." He says reaching out and stroking her cheek. He smiles at her, "You look so much like your mother." It made him miss her so much he wishes he could see her again... that he could see them all again.

For years the Targaryens were lucky to be on the throne while everything seemed simpler but it was difficult for the young girl to continue in that position. Her dreams stained with valerian blood and thus wings touching her body was something that would happen a lot, even her cold and dark thought left her there to wander with her family and children. With the luck old and new gods , Helaena watched that young woman by the iron throne and seemed to be gripping her own fingers to the fine touch of silk.

She approached while looking at it vaguely, kind of shy in a way and thinking about the spider that she herself will have to take care of. "Beware of those who touch their feet with stains of steel.. men who burn women and lie with themr for own good."

Jacaerys had not been expecting her, surprise crossing his face at her words. He had been distracted, mind wrapped up in turning the pages of a book he had not bothered to read a word of. He was thinking of the same thing he had often thought of - the war, the losses they had suffered, the burden of his inheritance weighing on his shoulders, his siblings still in danger each day. It settles heavy on his chest. "I'm alright." He replies, looking over at her - they are all under a dire stress, and he has no desire to add any pressure to his siblings. "What makes you think I need you to take on any of my burdens?"

i cannot say enough nice things about @idanazaldrizes!! aerea is such a well developed character, i sometimes forget that she isn't actually a canon character. kit has done such a great job with aerea's backstory & headcanons, even if a lot of it is so painful to read & i genuinely can't wait to see what's to come in the future.

What plot points would change due to the inclusion of your character in canon? / Katerina

so in kat's bio, i've definitely tried to keep as close to canon as possible so that other people don't have to adjust their canon to fit my oc too much.

that being said, if i had it my way there would have 100% been a plot point surrounding kat being engaged/married at some point likely in one of the earlier seasons. and not even necessarily to loras, as much as i find kat and loras' potential dynamic fun, i think if kat were canon she would have been proposed as a wife to someone else who could be a better ally to the baratheons (without interfering with potential plans to marry joffrey to margaery). as one of the eldest and a young woman, she likely would have been the priority to have her married even before myrcella (and maybe even before joffrey). the scene where robert proposes joining their houses to ned might have even included a choice between marrying sansa to joffrey or robb to kat. obviously, the choice of your daughter becoming queen is hard to turn down so sansa would have probably still would have been sent to king's landing, but the choice would have been there. (i have arranged marriage brainrot for kat all the time so that's why this is first on the list lol)

cersei's prophecy also might change (but it also might not) the original prophecy scene goes as follows (this is just the quotes i got from here):

"When will I wed the prince?" she asked. "Never. You will wed the king." - ... "I will be queen, though?" asked the younger her. "Aye." Malice gleamed in Maggys yellow eyes. "Queen you shall be . . . until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear." - ... "Will the king and I have children?" she asked. "Oh, aye. Six-and-ten for him, and three for you." - The old woman was not done with her, however. "Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds," she said. "And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

firstly, as much as i want to think cersei wouldn't be threatened by her own daughter that's simply not true. she loves her, but she knows ESPECIALLY as kat grows older that she would make a good queen. so i think cersei might think kat could be the younger and more beautiful queen that the prophecy talks about and would therefore put more effort into putting distance between her and the crown (circle back to my earlier marriage point)

ALSO while i don't entirely subscribe to the theory that myrcella is robert's trueborn daughter, the prophecy could stay the same if we're going off that theory because cersei would still have three children OR the prophecy would change to account for the fourth OR the prophecy wouldn't change because maggy didn't account for a twin because twins are in the womb at the same time so it would be four children but still three pregnancies.

kat would also have a much more independent character journey. in her current bio, i've tied her to specific characters/arcs at specific times to make it easier to integrate her into canon, but if she were canon her story would likely diverge at some point and she would have her own journey/independent plotline, i think this would start to happen when she meets hylla with one of the big events of her plotlines being joffrey's death, obviously, but also hylla's death happening shortly after. i cannot express how much of a major player kat would be from the beginning, serving as both a foil to cersei and someone with the potential to inherit the throne after all. i've always said kat doesn't want the iron throne she just wants to vibe, wield a sword, and kiss women somewhere where she won't be bothered, but that's exactly why she'd be good at it. after everything, she'd be a threat to the status quo because she grows more and more angry throughout the seasons as she loses people and her life as she knows it crumbles.

currently kat has a s8 compliant ending because i don't know where the books are going, if a certain someone ever finishes these books i'll probably make kat's ending more compliant with the books because fuck s8 all my homies hate s8. that being said, i wouldn't shy away from kat ending the story as a knight like brienne rather than creating her own house. whether she ends up knighted by sansa, daenerys, bran, whoever wins, if kat isn't queen (which is always something i'm interested in exploring) then i think she'd likely serve the crown as a knight or even hand of the queen/king.

there's definitely probably more but this is what's coming to mind rn

Chose a random word generator and it gave me the word hospital lmao. Stan is a passable patient. He'd be annoying and mean, but he'd also listen. He refuses rest or pain medication for no reason which can make him crankier (More on the rest than the physical pain, since he also has a pretty high pain tolerance) if he has a broken hand and he's advised not to use it, he'll walk away and do his best not to use it, but if he gets like. Shot and he's on bedrest to not rip stitches off, he'd be like "whatever" and go on with his day and just re-stitch it every so often (Which is terrible) He will also get in a fight if he has to if he's injuried lol
