I struggle immensely with the “Nina is the Most Pure of Heart™” narrative, not because I think she’s a bad person, but because I just don’t think she’s any more morally sound than anybody else in the damn house

#how easy would it have been to just say that the only reason it had to be Nina who could wear the Mask of Anubis and go to the afterlife #is because she is the chosen one #the mantle of which i remind you was literally created by ANUBIS as punishment for stealing the cup #so it stands to reason that Nina (chosen by Anubis) is the ONLY ONE who could successfully wear the Mask of ANUBIS #not bc she’s ‘pure of heart’ or some shit #i can appreciate that rufus had to go to super mega hell or whatever #but maybe that was bc the gods had enough of his shit #maybe instead of that being the fate of anyone who’s heart isn’t squeaky clean #it could maybe have just not worked 😭#idk assigning a higher moral position to nina of all people is silly #bc what they’re saying there is that everybody else on the show SUCKS actually and deserves to burn in hell #which is not what they were intending obviously but ????#house of anubis #just thinking
