kinda hate that we all stuck around on this shitty site all these years BECAUSE it wasnt like any other site and now that new people are apparently coming here its like “time to make it like tiktok and twitter!!!!!!”

#i just #i wanna say please dont do this #but the fact is that this site is barely afloat and they need to get engagement and money #so they gotta do the same shitty stuff everyone else does to make new assholes wanna be here #so we can complain and criticise all we want #that fact is that staff have the numbers to prove that pleasing the old userbase isnt working for them #so they gotta try to appeal to newcomers #idk i just really wanna engage with fandom on a site that doesnt feel actively hostile (even if the users sometimes do)#and im sad that thats gonna go away #rip tumblr it was fun while it was tumblr
