i don’t think ppl understand that ppl are roasting j not bcos he’s said ‘he doesn’t see it that way’ regarding destiel and ppl just won’t except it, but how he’s handled it in the past. with the ‘don’t ruin it for everybody’ ‘destiel doesn’t exist’ ‘destiel where is it’..etc. idk it has always been lowkey hostile how he’s responded - publicly at least to the idea of destiel - and something other actors in same sex ships with rabid stans in other fandoms haven’t reacted in this way imo. plus his ‘brokeback ruined cowboy movies for me’ doesn’t help, as well as him being a white man, who happens to be str8 and from texas (i think non fandom ppl are mostly roasting him for these things imo). like, there has always been rumors that j was uncomfy with it and the reason why it has never been canon, so i think when his acting sorta reflected that when cas was confessing ppl snapped idk
