summer sixteen//njj&mjy
jaejin stunned him, blinded him, not in any literal sense but with how him himself is a being that seems to be made of so much information, skills, codes of acting that joonyoung has yet to grasp even under the guidance of his mentors. joonyoung always admired the younger actor’s movie and tv show appearances, had been familiar with the boy’s roles before he was even signed to millionaire, so he was absolutely ecstatic when told they’d be paired up for mcing the concert.
despite the slight age gap and being slightly older, the model found the boy’s acting skills far more superior than his own, and the two always managed to get along.
they were backstage, looking over scripts, stylists putting back in place any hair that stuck out and adjusting their outfits, idols running on stage to perform the next song, it was hectic. but joonyoung liked it. adrenaline was in the air and there was nothing joonyoung loved more. it makes him beam, black flakes reflecting themselves off chestnut irises as excitement dances within, makes him feel like a machine running off air but wouldn’t be running out anytime soon.
after the stylists had left, and they were alone to practice whatever act they had left, joonyoung looked up from the script and to the other male. “do you still get nervous about these types of things?” curiosity at its finest.

It was day two of the concert and KING was just finishing their last set of the day. Shiwoo had been giving everything he had while performing wanting to give a good show for their knights. The banners and fanchants always helped him to have extra energy on stage. He was just glad their was only one more day left of the event as she he was nervous about monday. Getting backstage he collapsed into a chair chugging water and pulling a thick stack of papers from his bag, eye reading them over instantly.

"I never seen this many people in my life. It's exciting isn't it?" She asked the person next to her, letting out a wide smile before staring back at the fans

Wenxin hadn't been able to see his sister recently, much to his dismay. It was understandable considering their packed schedules; the only time they could see each other was at home and at that time, one of them was always too exhausted to do anything or even speak. The big event organised by all the companies was actually an opportunity for the siblings to be able to see each other more for a couple of days, as such, he didn't complain that much about having to be backstage and help artists. "Xiaomei!", he exclaimed with a bright smile as she appeared in his line of vision. "Come here!", he then said in mandarin. He wasn't sure if she had been chosen as a mc or if she had to work backstage but either way, Wenxin was glad to see her.

the three final stages for star were over now, and byeol was still high on all that adrenaline. part of her energizing happiness right now was because she had done really well with her performances, and the other part of it was because she was DONE. finally, free from all the stress and work of being on a trainee survival show. there was only one thing left to do now, which was wait for the final lineup information to come out. but until then, she’ll enjoy the proud feeling she has of herself as well as her closest male friend, who also doing very well onstage. ❛ hey, stranger !! ❜ the girl greeted, still clad in her ‘crush’ performance outfit. but before he could say anything back to her, she was already grabbing the male’s hand and running down the hallway. ❛ c’mon---- to the vending machines we go !! ❜

HE’S SWEATY AS fuck. beads of sweat were rolling from the tip of his forehead down the sides of his face, his body drenched in sweat as he leisurely stepped off the stage. his hands automatically reached out for the towels and water bottles handed out by the nearby staff members as he made a beeline for the waiting room, eager to monitor the performance he had just put on two seconds ago. he’s out of breath, panting heavily as his lungs begged for air. “how’d we do?”

Concert season -- oh how yu jihyun absolutely adored it. It's the season of hopes and dreams come true, of sweat and hard work. Tensions run high, jihyun stressed more so than usual. ❛ hey sunshine, i packed everything you need in your bag. make sure you stay hydrated. at the venue, you're not my only daughter. ❜ they drive up to rehearsals, where jihyun instructs minhee to join the other trainees as she, every so watchful mother of all, watches everything with a scowl on her face. @ikminhee

rehearsals had begun hours ago and for idols, trainees, and dancers alike, the wait time was long -- many of the acts sheilding themselves backstage from the summer heat and hot lights as others practiced and did their sound checks on stage. any seasoned performer would be used to such conditions, but with the actual concert still being a few hours away, it was obvious how there were a few who were already burning themselves out. “hey, take a break.” risa advised the other, handing them a cool water bottle so they would hydrate themselves. “your call time isn’t for another hour, right? you should eat something before then.”

it was their first performance of the night, and despite the earlier confidence he held taemin was now rooted in his spot, staring in awe at the number of people who had come to watch everyone -- watch him -- perform. the nervousness left a unsettling course in his stomach, lurching and hitching like a ship at sea, and taemin had half the mind to disappear back into his dressing room and wait out their performance, a star ready to fade out--
but he had a show; things wouldn’t, unfortunately, be all that simple. and so he resorted to staring idly backstage, fingers snapping restlessly at his side, mind a whirl of things that could POSSIBLY go wrong, whatever else he could POSSIBLY mess up.
moments like these proved to taemin just how much of a GODSEND minjae was; the familiar flash of hair had caught his attention, and suddenly everything had fallen to background noise, the trainee within his line of sight bringing him to a calm he didn’t know possible today. just the mere thought of the other brought taemin to relax, even the slightest bit, and without a second thought he’d bounded up to the other in excitement.
“big, big day, huh?” was his greeting, looping his hands through minjae’s with a thrilled air. “AH, minnie, you’re going to do so great, i just-- i know it! believe me, i’ve seen you perform -- you’re, you’re UNFORGETTABLE.” in more ways than one. “we-- we’re up next, you know!” OH, and he had faltered, the nervousness taemin feeling starting to affect even his speech without him noticing; without thought his arm retracted and reached for minjae’s hand instead, a silent squeeze: i don’t think i’ve ever been so nervous.

Being backstage to the concert was somewhere he'd never imagine being. As a model, such a high scale singing and dancing event didn't fit him at all. He still didn't understand how he ended up there; it all happened so fast. One of the staff from millionaire he was close to had asked him for help and dragged him backstage in a matter of minutes. Apollo wasn't that keen on being a mc so he had stayed hidden when they were chosen and he figured he could avoid helping; turns out being backstage was the only other option for the model. The performance of girl group QUEEN was over and, like a good wannabe staff, he hurried to the girls with bottles of water and towels. "Here it is", he spoke loudly.

With the concerts going on, Apollo had a lot of time on his hands and didn't know what to do with it. His schedule was toned down so the attention of all the staff would be on the big event and it's not like he would ask for more jobs. No matter how much he enjoyed his job, who would do that? "Is it hard?", he asked, his accent poking out. He was slightly curious about the scale of the concert; while he had attended more social events than he could count, something like that was new to him. He figured the idol would know more about it.
#ikxjihyun#idk what this is rip me#im still trying to figure out his chara completly so spare me#idolevent1
