so like 2 years ago the condo board made everyone sign an agreement (on threat of a $200 fine) with many rules and a huge list of things you could be fined for, including a $200 fine for having someone under 18 living with you (uncertain if this is legal, or if they actually charge it, or if the condo board full of 70+ year old dudes is just full of shit. basically they don't want kids in the building bc they're noisy and destructive, but by law you can't ban people with kids from moving in anywhere unless it's a retirement community now).

anyway, whenever I see someone with a kid now I want to ask if they had like $200 added to their monthly rent, or if they had to pay an extra damage deposit (like you have to with pets), or what.

today I passed a couple with 3 kids and a 4th clearly on the way and it was EXTREMELY hard to not ask them if they pay an extra $600-800 on their rent.
