#if any of the people i spent 2016 begging to care about the supreme court came to me like i'm sorry you were right

Some man on twitter took the opportunity of someone literally celebrating Ruth Bader Ginsburg's 90th birthday to push the "Ginsburg should have retired and this is her/Democrats' fault" line and unfortunately I have some time on my hands so you're getting this rant from me again.
First and foremost, putting the blame on a dead woman when there is a living man who is more directly responsible for losing control of the Supreme Court is profoundly stupid and while I doubt it's consciously misogynistic it does reflect a society that holds women responsible for everything.
I don't know how many times I can say this, but we didn't lose the court in 2020, we lost it in 2018 when Anthony Kennedy retired and Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed. A 6-3 conservative majority is certainly worse, but the Dobbs decision, for example, would have been the same.
You don't get to blame Democrats or Ruth Bader Ginsburg for the fact that you dismissed the importance of the Supreme Court in 2016. Whatever you think should have been done in 2014, you knew what the reality was in 2016. There was already an open seat on the Supreme Court during that election.
If Hillary Clinton had won in 2016, Antonin Scalia would have been replaced by a liberal justice, likely Merrick Garland, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg would have been replaced by another liberal justice. Anthony Kennedy would either have remained in his seat or been replaced by a moderate or liberal justice. The tentative 5-4 liberal majority we had prior to 2016 would have become a tentative 6-3 majority with a solid 5 liberal votes. This Supreme Court would not have overturned Roe and would not be threatening policies like student loan forgiveness and affirmative action. That is the court we would have if 50,000 people in three states had voted for Hillary Clinton.
Instead, Donald Trump appointed three Supreme Court Justices and there is a solid 6-3 conservative majority that will continue handing down horrible decisions that are nakedly political and barely even bother with constitutional justification. At the moment we're basically waiting for a couple of them to die and hoping there is a Democratic president and senate when it happens.
I think the position that Ginsburg should have retired in 2014 is heavily influenced by hindsight, but even accepting that it was a good idea, it's not as simple as people who began believing it in 2020 make it sound. First of all, I cite 2014 because Democrats lost control of the senate that year. This argument relies on Democrats seeing that loss coming. Even if they could do that, Democrats did not have filibuster-proof majority in the senate in 2014. At the time, senate rules required such a majority for supreme court confirmations. Harry Reid had only recently changed the rules to allow all other federal judicial nominations to be confirmed with a simple majority.
It's easy to forget now, but the level of Republican obstructionism during the Obama administration was unexpected. The rule change came about because there were so many judicial vacancies. Unfortunately, not all of them were filled even after the rule change, which allowed a number of Republican appointments during the Trump administration. I didn't have a position on senate rules in 2012-14 because I was in high school, but my position now is that I support ending the filibuster.
I think it's very clear that Republicans will simply change the rules to benefit themselves anyway the second they have power, so Democrats are not gaining anything by preserving the filibuster. However, I reached this position with the benefit of having observed Mitch McConnell's actions as Majority Leader between 2015 and 2019. Democrats in 2012-14 did not have that benefit. I don't know how predictable this Republican behavior was, but it's certainly not the same as having observed something that already happened. If Mitch McConnell had not already changed the rule for Supreme Court confirmations in 2017 in order to confirm Neil Gorsuch, I would have urged Democrats to do it in order to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson. But I don't know if it's fair to expect Democrats to have done so in 2014.
It's also worth remembering that the open politicization of the Supreme Court is fairly recent. It's been obviously political at least since the 1980s, but for quite a long time both parties kept up a pretense that it wasn't. It's easy to see why Democrats might not have expected Republicans to keep a seat open for an entire year rather than even give a Democratic nominee a hearing.
I think "in hindsight, things would be better if Ruth Bader Ginsburg had retired in 2014 and Harry Reid had changed the senate rules so Democrats could confirm a replacement" is a reasonable take. But it's academic. There's no point in assigning blame. And Democrats clearly did learn from this, because Stephen Breyer retired and was replaced by Ketanji Brown Jackson.
And, once again, whatever you think should have happened in 2014, we all went into 2016 knowing exactly what did and did not happen. Few people were saying Ginsburg should have retired at that time, and even those who were would not have been justified in not voting for Hillary Clinton, or discouraging others from supporting her, or downplaying the importance of the Supreme Court.

As A Brand Strategist
The change is needed so as to achieve extra clients in the worldwide market with a view to make their customers be extra conscious of their existence. Any method you'll be able to attain your customers’ hearts is an efficient technique. I do not care if you are conservative or liberal: Any approach you look at it, the Democrats bought flattened in 2016, losing the House of Representatives, the Senate and more than likely, any voice in filling vacancies on the Supreme Court docket. As an illustration, Tommy Hilfiger can offer to sponsor the broadcasts of Wimbledon, the US Open and the Australian Open in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Considered one of an important thing you are able to do is perceive your audience and converse directly to them and their pains. You do not need your advertising efforts to rival one another, however rather complement each other. Having mentioned that, always do not forget that what you say is contributing to your personal brand and what would you like that to be?
Or they spend a bundle and two years price of time doing research and having conferences and by no means making a call. Going by my private experience, I seriously advocate using this specific tip for making your online branding fairly effective. So, what is a branding? This feature was brought up beforehand but to clarify how generally a brand executes this job, branding advisors say that a brand is the proper chance to convey to the market as to what makes it preferable over the others. Alternatively, the company should additionally maintain its picture out there as one of the luxurious products and as one of the crucial sophisticated electronic firm in the worldwide business. When using social media to market a product or service group up with different firms using the same concept. Corporations like Telstra, Coca-Cola and Mercedes-Benz spend billions of dollars each year measuring, adjusting and reinforcing their manufacturers. However with the completely different on-line shops operating in the our on-line world, the amount spent by consumers is lessened as there are pricing and promotions methods executed to compete with one another like discounts and giveaways. Ed Keller and Brad Fay are co-authors of The Face-to-Face Ebook: Why Actual Relationships Rule in a Digital Marketplace, to be printed in May by Free Press.
Leaving aside brandbuilders the fact that there isn't a genetic material in sugar, rendering GMO fears moot, that defense begs the query, why not checklist 'cane sugar' as the ingredient? There is no such thing as a need to ask a brigade of builders to set up a roll up banner stand for you. Of course, you'll be able to ship the occasional tweet about something utterly totally different, however for many part persist with your model. Conversely, poor design can destroy worth. A key part of organizational design is putting the suitable individuals in the precise positions. It uses your profile and follows/followers (when you have any) to counsel folks you would possibly find fascinating. While you rent a roofing contractor, ensure that you find one which guarantees his work. For individuals who prefer useless-tree books, it is on the market in paperback. Once more, don't forget to take part, join and change ideas, hyperlinks and feedback with people who find themselves members of your community.
Some will certainly have results working with such a plan, though a lot of people might properly find it onerous to appreciate and tough to retain a strong re-occurring earnings because of the confusing skills. Many individuals have executed fairly recently that. To ensure that the company adheres to quality and requirements, they have a monthly assembly for the top management and quarterly meeting with the staff of every division. A brand strategy company is an industrial firm that takes away some advertising burdens off your shoulders. As a model chief in Tv joint enterprise, Sony 42-inch plasma worth cuts, they immediately caused a domino the plasma market, bone results, corresponding to Samsung, Toshiba forty two-inch plasma joint enterprise successive approximation million mark. Combining the native model with the identify of the new accomplice. This will enable customers to easily edit paperwork, view videos etc. Primarily this perform will enable the mobile phone to double as a VDI gadget. In case your visitors will not be capable of get around your site, they will not purchase from you.

In 2017, Trump couldn’t stop insulting government officials and orgs on Twitter
The tweets, they won't stop
Image: BOB AL-GREENE/MASHABLE
2017 is almost done, and it’s definitely safe to say that this year President Trump kept up one of his most infamous hallmarks: insulting people on Twitter.
Or, if you’re a Trump supporter, he’s “just keeping it real u liberal snowflake lol #MAGA.”
SEE ALSO: The mystery of Trump’s Twitter mentions and where he finds those awful retweets
Besides taking shots at the likes of Meryl Streep, LaVar Ball, and his biggest nemesis, the media, Trump branched out as the Commander-in-Chief and decided to start taking shots at, you know, actual government officials and organizations.
“But this is nothing new!” one might say.
Ah, yes. But, Trump previously spent time spitting venom on his social media platform of choice as either a private citizen or candidate for president. In 2017, he was actually the president and, yet, that didn’t stop him from lobbing bombs at fellow elected officials and actual full agencies. Hell, he can’t even get suspended from Twitter!
He’s insulted many people on the air or in print, including the likes of Senator Joe Manchin who was attacked in Trump’s winding and bizarre interview with the New York Times.
But being insulted on Twitter by Trump is… something special. So here is a list, with a few days still to go, of the government-related people and institutions the president has insulted, paired with a sampling of Trump’s finest Twittering.
Sen. Chuck Schumer & Rep. Nancy Pelosi
This shouldn’t be that big of a surprise as Schumer and Pelosi are the leading Democrats in Congress. But it gets pretty weird when you throw in that one time Trump suddenly made nice with them. Oh, and the “Chuck & Nancy” nickname, like Schumer and Pelosi are suddenly the “Sid & Nancy” of Capitol Hill.
Nancy Pelosi and Fake Tears Chuck Schumer held a rally at the steps of The Supreme Court and mic did not work (a mess)-just like Dem party!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 31, 2017
Meeting with “Chuck and Nancy” today about keeping government open and working. Problem is they want illegal immigrants flooding into our Country unchecked, are weak on Crime and want to substantially RAISE Taxes. I don’t see a deal!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 28, 2017
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand
Arguably the absolute worst thing Trump said (or at least inferred) in 2017 was aimed at Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, one of the leading women in Washington who, in the midst of the rise of the “#MeToo” movement, call on further investigation into the accusations of sexual harassment and assault made against Trump before the 2016 election.
Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 12, 2017
Sen. Lisa Murkowski
The Republican senator from Alaska was yet another foe to Trump in his efforts to pass his own health care bill.
Senator @lisamurkowski of the Great State of Alaska really let the Republicans, and our country, down yesterday. Too bad!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 26, 2017
Sen. John McCain
Remember when Trump insulted McCain’s status as a P.O.W. survivor in 2015 during his presidential campaign? Yeah, Trump didn’t get any better in 2017, especially when McCain famously thumbs-downed one of Trump’s attempt to bring a new health care bill to the country.
Sen. McCain should not be talking about the success or failure of a mission to the media. Only emboldens the enemy! He’s been losing so….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2017
A few of the many clips of John McCain talking about Repealing & Replacing O’Care. My oh my has he changed-complete turn from years of talk! pic.twitter.com/t9cXG2Io86
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 26, 2017
Sen. Mitch McConnell
Sure, the pair are all cozy again over the tax reform deal, but McConnell faced Trump’s ire after he failed to push through Trump’s health care bill.
Can you believe that Mitch McConnell, who has screamed Repeal & Replace for 7 years, couldn’t get it done. Must Repeal & Replace ObamaCare!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 10, 2017
Sen. Elizabeth Warren
Yes, somehow his “Pocahontas” nickname controversy spilled across 2017, too, and just made things seem more terrible and never-ending.
Pocahontas just stated that the Democrats, lead by the legendary Crooked Hillary Clinton, rigged the Primaries! Lets go FBI & Justice Dept.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 3, 2017
Sen. Lindsey Graham
Trump and Graham have continued their “on again, off again” relationship from the 2016 campaign.
Publicity seeking Lindsey Graham falsely stated that I said there is moral equivalency between the KKK, neo-Nazis & white supremacists……
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 17, 2017
Sen. Al Franken
Many reacted with disgust when a photo of then-Senator Al Franken showing him groping a woman hit the internet alongside allegations of inappropriate behavior. But Trump, who has faced his own allegations, reacted with a sick sort of glee.
The Al Frankenstien picture is really bad, speaks a thousand words. Where do his hands go in pictures 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 while she sleeps? …..
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 17, 2017
Sen. Richard Blumenthal
Trump has sparred with Blumenthal, a Democrat, throughout 2017, but making fun of Blumenthal’s embellishment of military service in Vietnam seems ironic given Trump didn’t serve thanks to some bone spurs.
I think Senator Blumenthal should take a nice long vacation in Vietnam, where he lied about his service, so he can at least say he was there
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 7, 2017
Sen. Jeff Flake
Flake, a Republican Senator from Arizona, famously spoke out against Trump and donated to Democrat Doug Jones’s campaign against Roy Moore in Alabama. He did this, though, after he announced his impending retirement from the senate.
Sen. Jeff Flake(y), who is unelectable in the Great State of Arizona (quit race, anemic polls) was caught (purposely) on “mike” saying bad things about your favorite President. He’ll be a NO on tax cuts because his political career anyway is “toast.”
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 19, 2017
Sen. Rand Paul
Paul has been a pretty consistent thorn in Trump’s side since the campaign.
Rand Paul, or whoever votes against Hcare Bill, will forever (future political campaigns) be known as “the Republican who saved ObamaCare.”
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 22, 2017
Sen. Bob Corker
Like Flake, Corker is a Republican senator who’s announced he is not running for re-election and has taken time to criticize Trump. And just like Flake, Corker incurred Trump’s wrath and got a nickname “Liddle’ Bob Corker.” It’s worth noting, though, that none of this kept Corker from heaping praise on Trump when the GOP successfully passed their tax reform bill.
The Failing @nytimes set Liddle’ Bob Corker up by recording his conversation. Was made to sound a fool, and that’s what I am dealing with!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 10, 2017
Rep. Frederica Wilson
Remember when Trump feuded with the widow of a soldier killed in Niger? Yeah, that happened this year. Rep. Wilson was with the family when Trump made a condolence call to Myeshia Johnson, wife of Sgt. La David Johnson, and claimed that Trump forgot Sgt. Johnson’s name. It was a whole thing that was awful and made Trump look terrible. Well, even more terrible than everything else.
Wacky Congresswoman Wilson is the gift that keeps on giving for the Republican Party, a disaster for Dems. You watch her in action & vote R!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 22, 2017
Rep. Adam Schiff
Rep. Schiff, a Democrat from California, has been perhaps the loudest opponent of Trump’s to beat the drum on accusations of collusion between Russia and Trump’s campaign team.
Sleazy Adam Schiff, the totally biased Congressman looking into “Russia,” spends all of his time on television pushing the Dem loss excuse!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 24, 2017
Pretty much just all of Congress
Despite having a majority in both houses, Trump really didn’t get nearly as much done as he claims and he certainly did not shy away from letting the world know how displeased he was about it.
If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 29, 2017
Our relationship with Russia is at an all-time & very dangerous low. You can thank Congress, the same people that can’t even give us HCare!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 3, 2017
Republicans in general
Republicans had a not great year in 2017’s off-year elections but before even that Trump was already throwing them under the bus.
It’s very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 23, 2017
The Department of Justice
It’s a government institution that is supposed to be independent of Trump and his whims so of course he gets mad at it when things don’t go his way.
Many people in our Country are asking what the “Justice” Department is going to do about the fact that totally Crooked Hillary, AFTER receiving a subpoena from the United States Congress, deleted and “acid washed” 33,000 Emails? No justice!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 3, 2017
Attorney General Jeff Sessions
For a time in the summer of 2017, it looked like Trump would push Attorney General Jeff Sessions — Trump’s longest supporter from the Senate during the 2016 campaign — to quit with a bunch of insults and questioning of Sessions’s authority. Sessions held firm, though, and survived the half-assed attempt by Trump to oust him.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 25, 2017
Why didn’t A.G. Sessions replace Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a Comey friend who was in charge of Clinton investigation but got….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 26, 2017
The FBI
Not only did Trump take out certain FBI officials, but he also took aim at the entire FBI itself. He even managed to insult then-FBI director James Comey before he fired him. (And he also insulted Comey many times after).
FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phony…
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 3, 2017
The FBI is totally unable to stop the national security “leakers” that have permeated our government for a long time. They can’t even……
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 24, 2017
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is racing the clock to retire with full benefits. 90 days to go?!!!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 23, 2017
WOW, @foxandfrlends “Dossier is bogus. Clinton Campaign, DNC funded Dossier. FBI CANNOT (after all of this time) VERIFY CLAIMS IN DOSSIER OF RUSSIA/TRUMP COLLUSION. FBI TAINTED.” And they used this Crooked Hillary pile of garbage as the basis for going after the Trump Campaign!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 26, 2017
The Postal Service
Proving that he’s still got plenty of juice left in him to close out 2017, Trump went after the U.S. Post Office on Friday for some reason (probably as a way to get a barely-disguised shot at Amazon in). The mail deliverers of America are likely not amused.
Why is the United States Post Office, which is losing many billions of dollars a year, while charging Amazon and others so little to deliver their packages, making Amazon richer and the Post Office dumber and poorer? Should be charging MUCH MORE!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 29, 2017
San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz
As Trump’s response to Hurricane Maria floundered, the people and leaders of Puerto Rico grew angry and lashed out, none more so than San Juan Mayor Carmen Cruz who did not hold back in her criticism of Trump. Trump, for his part, played the usually stoic leader who took the criticism in stride part of a toddler throwing a tantrum.
We have done a great job with the almost impossible situation in Puerto Rico. Outside of the Fake News or politically motivated ingrates,…

THE Vatican-EXPLAINS DIVINE MERCY TO ME
Then we have the evidence of the vatican mercy prayer written for the year of mercy. (2015 – 2016)
The vatican mercy prayer starts the list of examples of divine mercy with the list of money lovers and the “thief” on the cross.  The criminal on the cross was most likely NOT a thief.  The Romans would not have bothered with something as trivial as thievery. The Romans bothering with a thief would have been like asking the Supreme Court to fix a traffic ticket.  Remember Pontius Pilot’s first response to the Sanhedrin was, deal with this religious debate yourselves.  The Roman’s only got involved with capital crimes.  The criminal himself says his punishment is just.  Justice was seen as “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”   Think of what he must have been guilty of to be willing to accept the torture of crucifixion as just.  Yet Jesus forgave him.
The emphasis of the Vatican.  The greatest sin is the love of money. How Protestant.
So the first example completely trivializes Divine Mercy.
The second example: The adulteress.  From the account in the Gospel, it was doubtful that she was guilty of anything.  She was brought to Jesus by the Pharisees and the scribes.   Assuming the woman had a choice, which is doubtful as a starting point; the fact that she was there solo immediately indicates she is a pawn in a political game.  The law would have had both the man and woman condemned.  The religious authorities were using her as a trap for Jesus and the scheduled entertainment of the day.  If he had had her stoned, the Romans would have convicted him of murder.  If he had simply let her go, the scribes could have claimed he wasn’t following the law.   Remember, the ‘honor’ killings of women in the mid east did not start with ISIS.  They were popular back then as well.  A lot of the point was the practice of the religious leaders terrorizing women.   Think of the public humiliation. The Vatican demonstrate jealousy of the ability to publically and mortally terrorize women with this example.  Did they stop to think that this would have been the fate of the Virgin Mary if not for the incredible miracle that was St. Joseph?   I’m sure they had checked into the local gossip of Nazareth. The story contrasted the evil and misogyny of the religious authorities to that of respect and love of women Christ continually displayed.  The Divine Mercy was to the religious authorities for twisting the law for their own aggrandizement. What Jesus did that day was miraculous. It trumps raising Lazarus from the dead.  He struck a mighty blow against those making a mockery of justice and whose concept of religion was – I belong to the magic group that means I get to kill people.  The monstrosity that is this ‘prayer’ completely trivializes Divine Mercy. To summarize the prayer – don’t worry, Christ forgives you for being female.
The Vatican – It was only the woman who was guilty and that the next greatest sin is a woman having sex.
The third example.  – Mary Magdalene – the Apostle to the Apostles, one of the most positive examples of women in the Bible.  Nowhere is there any evidence of her being anything than a totally devoted disciple of Jesus. She is mentioned more than most of the other apostles in the Bible. She bankrolled his ministry! She was ranked close to Peter for the first two to three centuries of the Church.  Vatican – She is guilty of the only real mortal sin – being female.   Every week we get to profess in the ‘new’ translation of the Nicene Creed. Christ died for men only.  As she is a positive example, the Vatican must take every opportunity to trash her reputation.  Neither one of them was “seeking happiness only in created things.”  (What the heck does that mean in the first place?  I SWEAR the Vatican translators don’t speak English.) So to the Vatican the Divine Mercy of Christ is that he forgave the women for being female. Peter’s betrayal is listed after the women.  The Vatican is still actively promoting known pedophiles and their protectors. The list of sins in the order of the ‘mercy’ prayer. = The sins of the Vatican are less than the sins of the laity.  I see the Vatican as needing to actually repent and beg forgiveness of the laity, not the other way around. I am not inclined to forgive those I see as an active threat to my children. Jesus stressed the protection of children.   The Vatican is in a great tradition.  Peter only denied the Lord three times.  The Vatican has been denying the presence of Christ in women for close to two millennia now.
Forget all of them.  He forgave those who were crucifying him as he was being tortured to death.
Compared to other versions, this is about the worst version of a divine mercy prayer that I have seen.  It is just further evidence that the mercy of the Vatican applies only to unrepentant pedophiles.
The trashing of Mary Magdalene started in 591 by ‘pope’ Gregory the ‘great’.  He apparently couldn’t see women as anything other than whores and combined Mary Magdalene with the penitent woman who dries Christ’s feet with her hair.  It has been over 1800 years and the church has had anyone competent enough to correct the error.  The papacy, bringing you close to two millennia worth of gross incompetence.  They were not the ones who pointed out the error.  It was the women’s groups from outside howling with rage over the Vatican confusing insult with apology AGAIN!
What was that about infallibility?
Is there ANYONE in the Vatican with even an iota of competence or is the entire Vatican population composed of pedophiles hiding out from extradition?  Father says that the church isn’t capable of ordaining women.  I agree. They only things they have shown themselves to be qualified for are protecting pedophiles and standing around with their pants around their ankles gazing in adoration at their anatomy.  Is the lead content of the water so high they are lucky to be able to walk a straight line?  They have spent the last seven years enthusiastically proving that the Vatican is an international multi-billion dollar organization totally dedicated to worshipping their dicks.  They put Penthouse, Play Boy & Hustler combined to shame. (Simon’s Center for Sexual Psychopaths.)
Francis even rallied all the bishops for a Sin Nod. I wrote letters to every single English speaking bishop in the world that I could find off the inventory.  Did they negate Benne dick that Christ is the great penis in the sky to which you must sacrifice children? No.  Did they correct the Creed saying that a core value of Christianity is that the soul is located in the penis? – No. Did they reverse Benne Dick’s endorsement of Vatican policy – Promote the pedophile - Excommunicate the woman? – No. Did they reverse Benne Dick’s theology of the promotion of rape culture as a core principle of theology? – No. Did they acknowledge the incompetence of their governance as shown by their silly survey? – No.  Did they acknowledge the ludicrousness of supposedly celibate old men, whose response to the pedophile crisis was to defend the pedophiles holding a sin nod on the family, when their own organization made a big deal out of saying the women are in charge of the family? – No.  What did they do? – They wrote another meaningless, self gratifying Latin document they immediately started arguing about.  I at least hope the food was good and the airlines didn’t lose their luggage at their bacchanal.
I have always considered myself a mediocre Catholic and never considered myself capable of being a priest.  Compared to that, I am OVER QUALIFIED and care more for the Catholic Church than the Vatican.  I also considered myself Catholic in SPITE of the hierarchy.
I am least grateful they haven't put a "Help Wanted, Pedophile Preferred" sign in Saint Peter's Square.
I can't imagine what the previous cardinals were thinking when they selected this feeble minded pervert.  Were they looking for the reincarnation of Rasputin, a dim wit that would allow them to rob the church blind, or since their anatomy is more important to them than ANYTHING else, did they simply drop their pants and pull out a ruler?  How else do you explain Cardinal Barbie Doll Burke being considered among the best and brightest the Church has to offer?  When a priest is too incompetent to be able to pastor a parish, do they make him a cardinal?
At the very least, all the cardinals sitting on their backsides and letting the Vatican stand for pedophilia is the same mindset that caused the head on airplane collision in the Canary Islands.  The flight crew were too terrified of going against the captain to tell him he was going the wrong way on the air strip in the fog.  At least the airline had the sense to change their policy of captain absolute authority after that.
Forget debating angels on the head of a pin, the current theological debate is how well Christ was hung.  I don't care how many millennia they spend gazing in adoration at their anatomy, it is NOT God.
The Church is the Bride of Christ, NOT a kept woman used to stroke their male egos on demand.
I heard Italian TV has even adopted a patron saint for them in a program called “Going Nowhere”  It stars a misogynist doofus who believes women police officers are window washers and is proud that his only marketable skill is rubber stamping documents.
If he were legitimate, Francis adopting the refugee children would have been a wonderful Christian example.  The actual result was to drop 6 incredibly vulnerable children into the world’s greatest concentration of un-repentant pedophiles.  Francis says – what is the big deal with the pedophilia? – the Vatican apologized.  Some apology Their non-English speakers have obviously confused the meaning of apology with insult.  I will believe they are sorry when they ordain a woman priest (If they can find a woman on this planet who thinks they have a shred of credibility) and excommunicate themselves as the pagans they are.  I will believe they are sorry when they send all their pedophiles, with their faces in the dirt to personally grovel to all the families of the children they allowed to be molested, while wearing the T-shirt that sums up their whole religious beliefs. “I’m with Stupid arrow down.” The Vatican got a lot of flak about this ‘prayer.’  Francis responded by creating a feast day for Mary Magdalene on even footing with the other Apostles.
