An interesting thought-what is Yata developed a crush on someone who he considered his enemy? What would he think and how would he process it? How would it affect his interactions with that person?
….Are we talking about Fushimi? This is about Fushimi isn't it XD Well, to be fair, I think his reaction to falling in love with Fushimi versus someone he just considered 'an enemy' would be different, like if he developed a crush on a random jungle member or something. I think in that case Yata would have some trouble processing it, like he knows that this person is an enemy but at the same time he finds that he's kinda attracted to them. I think the feelings here would also depend on what 'kind' of enemy we're talking, like a jungle member who was actively involved with Totsuka's death or something would be way different to him than just some random jungle member who's just part of that clan but doesn't know about Hisui's whole plan. For the former I can't see Yata really letting himself be attracted at all, like his knowledge of what they've done would override any feeling of attraction just on a looks-based criteria. If it was a case where he talked to the person before knowing they were an enemy and they got on well and Yata became attracted and then he found out I think Yata would feel upset and betrayed, and would probably treat that person even more strongly as a enemy going forward because he's so pained by the fact that he was attracted to this person and they turned out to be so horrible.
If the same situation happened and the person was like a minor member of jungle I think Yata would struggle more, because while his knee-jerk reaction is that this person is an enemy and Yata 'should' hate them at the same time he also feels like maybe he could change their mind and get them to come around to his side. I think he would still struggle knowing that he has a crush on someone who's an enemy, because Yata feels so strongly about his own beliefs and about Homra's pride and being attracted to someone who goes against that is hard for him to reconcile. Eventually I think he would come to the same conclusion he comes to regarding Fushimi though, that what he needs to do is try to understand this person and why they're his enemy – or if they're an enemy at all, like is Yata seeing them as an enemy because they're actually a bad person or doing a bad thing, or are they just an enemy because their beliefs go against what Yata and Homra believe in. If Yata really feels that what this person believes in is wrong I think he would want to do what he could to convince them of that, try to bring this person that he's interested in over to his side so that they're not an enemy anymore and then he can finally let himself admit that he's got a crush.
