Day 4 of the Emmett and Nikal update, and it’s a big one -- but that’s only to be expected. After all, it’s not every day we have a wedding! :D Yes, today was the day I chose for them to tie the knot! After a healthy breakfast (eaten on the bed for some reason -- they’ve gotten into the habit of doing that with breakfast foods, for some reason), I had them finish some last-minute prepwork. The usual stuff: hopping into CAS to give them special wedding outfits, having Emmett bake a wedding cake, having them both take a day off work --

And that’s when I ran into my first snag, as I’d forgotten to check if both of them had any vacation days. Nikal did -- Emmett didn’t. Oops. ^^; I tried having him call in fake-sick to work, but they didn’t buy it. Fortunately, I’d pre-scheduled the wedding from the calendar, and sending Emmett to my chosen venue overrode him actually going to work. So he ended up just skipping the day. Didn’t do great things for his work performance, as you might imagine, but I’d rather he suffer in his job than miss his own wedding.

Anyway, we’re at a semi-familiar location for the nuptials -- Tarts and Flowers Chapel, a lot created by my friend @nebbychan! (And partially renovated by me -- I’m responsible for that awful-looking path up to the fountain, not her!) Eric visited the place once on the trail of a suspect, but I’d yet to use it for an actual wedding, so -- here we are! Emmett, being the one who planned the wedding, invited a bunch of work friends, like Perry and Gavin, Mortimer and Bella Goth, and Marty and Jennifer McFly. To my surprise, though, Marty wasn’t among the actual guests upon arrival. I’m not sure if my game glitched or there was a behind-the-scenes work conflict (or maybe the game trying NOT to make me leave their kids all alone?), but as I’d already planned for Nikal to call up Eric to have him hang out with her at the lot so he could attend, it wasn’t very hard to have Emmett do the same with Marty. Few moments and a quick “hey, can I see your formal outfit” later, and we were ready to get this show on the road!

If we could pull the guests away from the bar, of course. . .
