Here's a Hades x Persephone short story I wrote on AO3, based on a Tumblr prompt!

Writing prompt on Tumblr (by @creativepromptsforwriting): The tone of his voice was almost soft, with the intent to appear calm. But she could hear the underlying threat very clearly.

Warning: This story covers the aftermath of an abduction and the depiction of unhealthy relationships. Viewer discretion is advised.

Sorry if I burst your “couple goals” bubble but in this house we love problematic Hades/Persephone, or at least problematic when they first meet.

Hades doesn't have time to react when Persephone promptly pulls back the horsetail of his helmet, taking the headwear off completely. He only tilted his head just enough to see a flash of metal before the sharp blade of a sickle slashes his face and a swift kick in the stomach sends him off the chariot.

Persephone is quick to jump off the other side of the chariot now that she is free from the brutal grip of her captor.

“Just what the fuck do you think you're doing?!!”

She pants heavily, her face whitens from the aftermath of shock and horror, and her hair and dress are a mess after the violent abduction. She stands in a defensive position not far from the God of the Dead, ready to fight back anytime.

As the god got back to his feet, he raises a hand to touch his face. Tint-gold ichor ran in streams along the sharp feature of Hades and stained his beard. Thanks to the super healing power only the deathless ones possess, the gushing wound on his face - stretching from mere inches underneath his right eye to the left corner of his mouth - makes quick work of sealing itself up.

Persephone frantically clutches onto her ichor-coated sickle when she sees the injury she'd cast on him had disappeared without a trace. She forgot gods can heal themselves faster than other creatures.

Nonetheless, the goddess manages to swallow back the rising fear and hisses at Hades, “Take one more step,” she hostilely holds up the sickle, “And you'll know the torment of Ouranos when he is sliced by Kronos.”

Opposed to her acidic attitude, the older god seems to be underreacting from the assault. He has a look almost disinterested, “You dare to injure the king of the Dead?”

The tone of his voice was almost soft, with the intent to appear calm. But she could hear the underlying threat very clearly. She had indeed committed a crime against a king god, but she could care less about rules and respect.

Persephone bares her teeth in retort, “And you dare to abduct a daughter of an Olympian!”

Hades lightly chuckles at her response as if it was a joke to him - as if she was a joke to him, “Zeus is happy to give you to me, I don't think I've violated any customary rules.”

Customary rules are only an excuse. Persephone knows exactly what he wants from her. She had seen it before, what happened to women and nymphs who caught the attention of Zeus and Poseidon. But she is having none of that. She isn't going to let this entitled god thinks he can do whatever he wants with her.

“Don't you even think about it!”

“And what would you do, Goddess? You are in my realm. It wouldn't be wise to harm your host now, would it?” Hades reminds her.

“Quit with that xenia bullshit,” Persephone gnarls, “You took me here by force, it's not my responsibility to please you.”

Hades squinted his eyes. He doesn't take her responses as disrespectful in the slightest, even marveling at the unexpected side of someone well-known to be gentle.

“Such feral from a goddess like you. Interesting,” the god has a smirk full of interest, which makes the goddess shiver down her spine.

That wrinkly old bastard- She should have gushed his goddamn mouth in the first place.

What’s going on down there? It sounds restlessly calm. You could hear muffled voices but nothing more; you aren't too keen on testing your luck and sneak into the corridor to eavesdrop on their conversation. Pretty sure the door is locked anyway.

Instead, You took note of the confined walls surrounding you. A typical master bedroom accessorized an earthy decor, cute mini-plants placed in various room areas, two tiny pet turtles in a tank constructed into a giant wooden bookshelf.

Speaking of books, talk about books galore. The shelved books had little to no wiggle room aside from the one empty slot belonging to the open novel on the nightstand. The owner won’t mind you partaking in one quick gander-

“Ah!” You gasp, fixing your eyes on your newly treated ankle. For a minute, you just about forgot this crazy abducted situation your in. The bedsprings dip as you flop back into the spot where Jimin left you. Jimin was the man you fell on during your first attempt at freedom; he was even generous enough to bandage with utmost care.

A kind gesture a particular bunny wasn’t too thrilled on seeing, Jungkook's face soured while watching Jimin’s filthy little womanizing hands caressing the delicate soft plushy skin of his carrot’s legs.

Son of a bitch trying to cop a feel on his wife, Jimin’s flirtatious persona, led him out to be a well-known heartthrob but often seen as a gigolo through certain people's point of view and, frankly, Jungkook's wife won't be a victim of the Jimin Effect.

Crash!

The smash of a glass object-making contact with the hard marble kitchen floor snatched Jimin’s and your attention giving it to the irritable bunny who’s psychotically enthusiastic about testing his progress in strength by snapping his hyung’s neck-

Oh, no, his carrot looks frightened-He shouldn't do such a brutal act of love with his wife nearby; her poor innocent heart might shatter. No violence...At least for the time being.

Next thing you know, Jungkook's face lightened up, and even when Jimin bit his head off for breaking one of Jin’s fancy dinnerware, his facial expression persisted undaunted. Jungkook kept a serene masquerade, but through closer observation, he clenched his jaw at Jimin’s hand on cradling the small of his wife’s back, guiding her into hiding in the upper part of the house for a reason unknown.

Jungkook let Jimin take you no-fuss included, Hence, Your encaged situation. For all, you know, The men were downstairs plotting a far-flung strategy to murder you making it look like a battle of defense.

Though, You were more occupied by another Crack for the floor down below. ” Ahh!” You cried out, falling back on the bed once again.

Meanwhile, Downstairs.

”Stop! Breaking Hyung’s plates, or we're both as good as dead!” Jimin growled. ”Quit avoiding the question! Who the hell is that woman!? Did you hurt her!? Why-!” Jimin asked Jungkook until his cheeks burned a reddish hue, and his neck veins were dominant.

In one swift breath, Jungkook responded. “ She’s Mrs.Jeon. My wife.”

Jimin knew his maknae had a few loose screws in his head, but this is getting out of hand.

”Wife?! Do you know how old you are!? Kook, You just turn twenty-three-”

”So What.” Jungkook interrupted. ”You want me to wait until I’m an ancient fart like Hyung to get married.”

”Pffft.” Jimin pressed his lips into a thin line suppressing his need to laugh. ”Ahem, respect your elders-You little brat.”

Amidst the brothers at each other's throats, another member of the maknae line awakened from his mid-morning nap; drowsy eyed Kim Taehyung waddled upstairs to check up on his Hyung living in the room above him.

He could have sworn a faint scream is what he heard-Well; there's no harm in checking.

You jumped at the squeaky hinges of the door opening. Wait, it was unlocked!? Expecting the uninvited visitor to be Jungkook, You raised a pillow over your head, ready to be hurled-to your amazement; it was a completely different man.

A long-haired male with long chocolate locks kept at bay by a beige headband; his attire was disarray. His tank top hung off his shoulder, slightly creased in his pajama pant’s waistband.

Adorable, to say the least, the poor thing’s eyes weren’t even fully open yet, the pretty pink pout of his lips nearly forced an” Aw” from yours.

”Who are you?” He grumbled, scratching the back of his neck.

Sweet mother of deep, He stood a few feet away, but the raspiness and depth of his voice caused your insides to start quivering.

”I’m-I’m the sand fairy.” You choked out, fluttering the tips of your fingers as if spreading magic dust. ” I'm here to ensure all your dreams are sweet. ”

You nibbled your lip nervously, hoping he takes the bait. He yawned in response dragging his exhausted body across the room to you; he halts. You gulped, staring up at him; you felt like a mouse about to pounce on by a tiger.

”H-H-I!” You yelped.

The man took no real investment in your fib; instead, he decided to reap the benefits of how soft and plushy you are by laying his head on your bare thighs. He wiggled in place to reach maximum comfort.

”Ah.” He moaned, falling back to sleep.

Oh, dear.

The sound of the hyung’s arrival made the two maknae gulp.

First in the door was Hoseok, hands full grocery bags ” Come help! Quick, save the ice cream if it isn't soup by now.”

Namjoon followed behind. ” I told Jin not to get the ice cream first-He knows how he gets with his coupons.”

”The worst part is he got upset when we told him that's enough food then told to stay in the car.” Yoongi stretched out the pins and needles feeling in his limbs.

”You may say that's enough now, but when that brat comes, he's going to eat us out of house and home!” Jin scolded, unconsciously fetching the rest of the bags.

Jin froze, staring at Jungkook, helping put the food in the correct places. He didn't hesitate to smother his baby boy in a hug, but right after, he jabbed Jungkook's gut.

”Oof!” Jungkook doubled over, gripping his chest. ” I missed you too,” He coughed.

Jin stood tall. ” And there's plenty more where that came from once Hoseok gets his hands on you.”

Anyone but Hoseok.

” I heard Jk!” Hoseok rushed Jungkook a bear hug. ” Thank goodness you're alright!” He jabbed in his Jungkook's gut. ” Where the hell have you been?!”

Jungkook groaned. ” Ou-Ouch..I won't be able to tell you if I keep getting hit.” He cleared his throat. ”America.”

”America!” The hyungs blared out.

Namjoon pinched the bridge of his nose. ” What possessed you to go there on your own? Have you forgotten what you are?”

Jungkook sighed. “ I know, I know, but I just envy normal people around my age having the freedom to go wherever they want.”

“ But you’re not," Yoongi brutally minced Jungkook’s sob story. He’s not particularly fond of beating around the bush, especially when dealing with his brothers earlier this afternoon. “ Unlike ‘normal’ twenty-year-olds, you are adored by army who would be upset if anything happened to you.”

Jungkook bowed his head in shame; the thought of army never really crossed his mind.

“And-“ Yoongi continued. “ There are crazies in every country, so what made you think heading off on your own would be alright!?”

“Why America?” Namjoon’s brow jumped as the gears in his head began to turn. “ Out of all the beautiful places we visited-You chose the U.S? What was there that you had to leave without an explanation?”

Namjoon stared at Jungkook’s eyes not in a malicious sense, just a habit when trying to figure out a solution or, in this case, a missing clue to the reason his little brother hopped up and left.

“Twinkats (Twinkies),” Jimin laughed nervously. “ I bet his suitcase is full of them.”

Sadly, Jimin’s fairy charm wouldn’t work this time. Jungkook is drowning in deep waters, and there’s no salvage coming for miles; at this rate, Jungkook had two options: tell the truth, orrrr, run away with his loving wife in his arms.

Not gonna lie; Jungkook leaned towards the second option, but the fates had another plan.

”Hyung! Hyung! Namjoon-Hyungie!!” Taehyung screamed bloody murder, sprinting downstairs minus jumping the last five steps. ” Her ankle is purple!”

Taehyung paused, breathing heavily in front of the kitchen where the interrogation is being held, accompanied by a woman injured cradled in his arms, more worried about him dropping than her throbbing ankle.

Taehyung had the room’s undivided attention, and Jungkook’s enviousness scowl; his wife was clinging on to another man like a baby koala to its mother but had it been him, she would scratch his eyes out.

Let's not mention the fact! It seems like she's only wearing a shirt, and guess who the owner is, not him!

” Who-”

”What-”

”Why”

” How!?”

Before getting into details about the hyung's reaction to their new houseguest, let's first take a detour to Prince Taehyung mini rescue adventure.

A good hour in, Taehyung woke up from the best nap of his life to beautiful damsel sniffles and tears. The sweetheart asked what was wrong and nodded as the damsel explained, coming to realize she was in distress. Prince Taehyung aided the beauty with new clothes and tied a red ribbon into her hair….beacause he thought it would look pretty (Shrugs).

However, her ankle injury required a different source of help, so who else to ask but his favorite Hyung? But he couldn't find Yoongi in his room, so he decided to ask Namjoon instead.

Jin’s eye twitched as he peered at Jungkook, who was attempting to slip out of the kitchen. ” You little sh-!”

Let's just say Jin didn't nearly beat Jungkook almost half to death with a rice paddle while shouting numerous insults to bruise a thousand men’s pride in a second.

It went silent after Jin banished Jungkook to the beach house a few feet from the house until he wanted to see his face again. Namjoon took it upon himself to introduce the gang.

You politely shared a warm hello but wished nothing more to go home.

Line of Duty requires attentive viewing. Try to watch it while doing the ironing and it’ll be burnt shirt collars and confusion for you, son. Every sly look, slight frown and worried swallow by the characters needs to be absorbed by fans if we’re to construct our usual baroque theories week by week. (A bold, early suggestion: DCI Davidson is the first innocent copper AC-12 has ever investigated; she simply has the ability to see things happen in slow-motion, like a housefly, and is a keen collector of high-end door locks. Show of hands?)

You could keep a little notebook at hand in which to jot down and underline key info, or you could just come here every week after reading the episode review, and have your memory jogged to the relevant bits…

Acronym of the Week: CHIS

Pronounced to rhyme with ‘fizz’. Stands for: Covert Human Intelligence Source, or informant. 

Why did Kate leave AC-12?

She’s ambitious, for one, but the cracks started to show in series five. It was Kate and Steve who went to ACC Wise with several concerns relating to the gaffer’s conduct after he went rogue and impersonated ‘H’ in an unauthorised undercover op to recover the stolen Eastfield Depot goods. Kate’s the one who listed Ted’s potential offences to Wise, and voiced her suspicion that Hastings deliberately blew John Corbett’s cover with the OCG. When Gill Biggeloe told Ted that a complaint against him had been raised, he told her “My team will back me up, they always do.” “Not always,” replied Gill. The investigation into Hastings tainted AC-12, and in Kate’s words, she was sick of chasing bent coppers and wanted to go after real criminals.

When did we first meet PS Farida Jatri?

In series four, which was set in early 2017, Jatri was a background player in Roz Huntley’s team at Polk Avenue investigating the murders of Leonie Collersdale and Baswinder Kaur, and the attempted abduction of Hana Reznikova, collectively known as Operation Trapdoor. In the three and a half years between then and when series six takes place in October 2020, Jatri (played by Anneika Rose) has been promoted to sergeant and reassigned to Hillside Station, working under DCI Joanne Davidson who was posted to ‘The Hill’ in October 2019, one month after Gail Vella’s murder.

Det. Supt. Ian Buckells looks familiar. Why?

Because he’s been in it since series one when he was the DI brought in to replace DCI Tony Gates as the Senior Investigating Officer on the Jackie Laverty disappearance case. (Gates was having an affair with Laverty, so had to be removed). It’s worth noting that Buckells (played by Nigel Boyle) was put in charge of that case by ACC Derek Hilton, whom we know to have been a bent copper who was blackmailed, and almost certainly murdered, by the OCG. 

After Tony Gates got the evidence required to arrest OCG leader Tommy Hunter, it was Buckells who allowed ‘The Caddy’ DS Cottan to chat with Hunter and advise him to request immunity and witness protection and go along with the terrorism story Gates had concocted to explain three OCG drug-related murders. 

Then in series four, ACC Hilton removed DCI Roz Huntley as SIO of Operation Trapdoor and replaced her with Buckells. Because DS Kat Fleming was undercover as part of Huntley’s team at the time, Buckells knew her real identity and would have been able to blow her cover, jeopardising AC-12’s operation. Does that make Buckells’ just ACC Hilton’s pawn, or is he a bent copper in his own right? He has climbed the ladder remarkably quickly.

Where have we seen Terry Boyle before?

Twice. Once in series one, when he was played by Elliott Rosen, and once in series five, played by the same actor as here, Tommy Jessop. Boyle is a young man with Down’s Syndrome who is a long time associate of the OCG. They bullied and exploited him, using the freezer in his flat to store the dismembered body of Jackie Laverty between series one and five. His flat is located opposite Kingsgate Printing Services, out of which the OCG ran a passport forgery operation using illegally trafficked workers. When AC-12 raided the shop, Boyle took photos of the police officers to show the OCG. That’s how Lisa McQueen was able to ID Steve Arnott as the police officer who followed PC Maneet Bindra’s instructions on how to make contact with the OCG.

Why is Steve buying all those pills?

He has a painkiller addiction, which started after he suffered a serious attack in series four, when a member of the OCG attacked him and pushed him down several flights of stairs. Steve’s pelvis was fractured and he was left temporarily using a wheelchair. 

In series five, Steve failed to perform sexually with on-again-off-again girlfriend DS Sam Railston from Major Violent Crime, perhaps as a result of his injuries, a side effect of the codeine he was taking, or a psychological barrier. That’s why, when propositioned by former fling ‘Jolly’ Rogerson from Murder Squad, Steve turned her down. Time was, Steve ‘Shagger’ Arnott wouldn’t have turned down a hole in the ground, and made a habit of sleeping with co-workers and witnesses, hence Rogerson’s “You really have been working Anti-Corruption too long haven’t you?”

What’s going on with Kate’s private life?

After being hopeful that she and husband Mark were going to make a go of things again in series five when she’d stopped working undercover, the job made it too difficult for Kate to keep promises to Mark and son Josh. She repeatedly came home late and missed outings and bedtimes, which eventually proved too much for the marriage. In series six, she’s moved out of the family home and Mark seems to have primary custody of Josh.

Why did ACC Andrea Wise shut Ted out of that meeting?

As she tells him, Ted’s reputation hasn’t survived the events of series five (when he was framed by Gill Biggeloe as ‘H’, the mythologised bent copper running the OCG). Many people in the service think he should have resigned after that debacle, which would be mightily convenient for Wise and Police and Crime Commissioner Rohan Sindwhani, as AC-12 keep rooting out corrupt police staff, which doesn’t make for good PR. 

Is Gail Vella’s suspected killer Carl Banks any relation to Lee Banks?

No idea. It’s not impossible though. OCG member Lee Banks, if you remember, is currently serving at her majesty’s pleasure in Blackthorn Prison after being busted by Steve bribing PS Jane Cafferty in series five. Gangland executioner Carl Banks could well be a relation.

BLOODLINE, A RECAP brought to your admins

BLOODLINE’S POLITICAL STORY is headlined by three major witch covens. The Devereauxs, the Blacks, and Thierry’s Immortal Coven You should give each of their original coven leaders biographies a read to orient you in the politics of the world:

Celestina Black has three children, two of which are active participants int he games current politics; Aemilia and Aurora. Aemilia was the well disciplined child, the Black who took leadership seriously and wanted to prove her value as a woman in their patriarchal family. Aurora was the baby, the free spirit who always felt rejected by their father. 

Brigid Devereaux has only one daughter. Victoria. Victoria was trained heavily under her mother’s thumb, in a fairly intense and abusive upbringing. She’s incredibly physical and dedicated but unlike her mother, much more compassionate and levelheaded (something that took some time and getting out from under Brigid’s thumb to find out.)

Thierry’s Magic was adapted with the help of a partner, a very smart, inventive holistic witch Lucio Lontoc. HOWEVER to this day no one knows of Lucio’s involvement. Thierry has never told anyone who helped her create immortal magic. 

During the early part of the game, the wolf pack hailing from the Devereaux Compound in Massachusetts was lead by Alpha Derrick Falco (you do not need to read Derrick’s bio.) Derrick’s beta was Elias Irving, the son of the previous Alpha who Derrick had appointed to honor the older Alpha’s legacy. 

The wolf pack as it originally stod in the game was made almost entirely of new wolves. Stragglers that had been picked up along the way, and the freshly turned. This included Ana who remains with the pack still and several other characters who have since left the game. Pre-existing members of the Devereaux pack didn’t really arrive until a bit later. 

At the start of the game, Victoria Devereaux and Aurora Black were entered per their mother’s orders into an arranged marriage with the goal of demonstrating the political alliance between their families. At first they DID NOT get along. But they quickly realized that they were each holding back a lot of trauma, pressure, and insecurity that brought them closer. 

Aurora was also hiding a secret; her penchant for clairvoyant dark magic. Since the game began, Aurora’s power has slowly been growing and more people are aware that she can do it. She can visit memories and astral project. Her sister Ameilia can visit people’s minds and witness their fears. 

Here are some important conflicts and plot points as relatively in order as I can get them that have happened since the game started that have directed effected the politics or dynamics: 

Aurora Black and Thierry Astor slept together, something the Black family and Victoria did not react kindly to. 

It was discovered that a wolf named Charlie was actually secretly a human. She was imprisoned. Victoria, seeing that the pack cared for Charlie was afraid that executing her would create a lack of trust between the pack and her family’s leadership so she went over her mother’s head to convince the council to spare and turn Charlie instead. In order for Charlie to be turned, they needed a bonded wolf to do it safely. Derrick and Victoria (who had always bene close allies) decided to bond to one another so that he could safely turn Charlie and because they both cared deeply about the survival of the pack and saw eye to eye. (Charlie is no longer in the game but Derrick and Victoria’s alliance was a massive political shift as well as Victoria’s decision to involve Aurora in going above their parents head to get the council votes. It was the first instance of the younger generation of leaders working against their parents and deeply frustrated Aemilia Black. 

Ericka an immortal witch who had previously been tortured and held captive by wolves years ago, accused Presley a super innocent pop start turned wolf who wouldn’t hurt a fly of attacking her. Presley was jailed until an answer was found but it was ultimately proven by Aurora Black’s magic that Erick had been having an intense ptsd related episode and had not in fact been attacked, thus revealing Aurora’s Black magic on a more public scale and absolving Presley. 

Aemilia locked Aurora in her room under the guise that it was for protection as a method of controlling her. 

Victoria and Ana often struggled to see eye to eye regarding witches and wolves relationships. 

Aemilia and Thierry stayed in a constant state of rivalry after Thierry slept with Aurora but all of Thierry’s theatrics were intended to be distractions to keep the other witch families from realizing that she was trying to continue enhancing immortal magic. 

Brigid arrived and resumed her intense and violent training with Victoria. This started one night in the rain where she brutalized her and Aurora found out and ended when she tried to use Aurora as a means of teaching Victoria emotional control. Instead, Victoria snapped and nearly killed her mother, stopped by Derrick. BUT the attack lead to the Blacks and Aurora beginning to attempt to overthrow Brigid. It also solidified Victoria and Aurora’s deep care for one another on a public scale. 

A group of Devereaux wolves arrived including Beta Elias and his gang of friends: Eden, Kyle, and Ronan. All of them were pretty anti-witch and secretly plotting to overthrow the pack leadership and the Devereauxs. Notorious for antagonizing new wolves and wolves they deemed weaker than them they even started small “fight club” in the woods. Their primary target was Presley (you should read Presley’s bio for more background on the stones and the Devereaux Compound attack). Eventually Eden came to care about Presley, they bonded over their shared trauma and the loss of their families at the attack on the Devereaux Compound and became an item, thus starting Eden on the path of no longer wanting to support Elias. 

Elisa eventually called for a new alpha vote and LOST. As such, Derrick was re-appointed Alpha and given the chance to appoint a new Beta. He chose Presley.

Around the same time, the Pack had arrivals from the Washington Branch of the Devereaux Compound. [ You should read Reed Jackson, Noah Niccolai and Ellery Jackson’s bios in that order for important backstory regarding the Jacksons, the Devereauxs, and other soon to be relevant drama. Noah and Reed were not among those arrivals. Lucas Jackson and Ellery were.]

Pissed about the Alpha vote, Elias and Kyle acted on their over throw pla. They Started a fire in the wolf quarters, burning them and the barn to the ground. As the fire was blazing, they used it as a distraction to murder Derrick. Victoria felt Derrick die and knew something was wrong but before she could interfere, she was attacked by Elias. Being that she’s one of the strongest original witches of all time, Elias didn’t stand a chance. Victoria killed him quickly and without holding back. She then ran to her mother to tell Brigid about what had happened but Brigid LOST IT. Because Brigid knew that killing someone would trigger victoria’s secret werewolf gene. Brigid lost it, dragged Victoria away, beat her within an inch of her life and nearly killed her. As soon as Ellery found out what had happened, she grabbed Aurora and ran to Victoria’s rescue just in time. She was stopped only seconds before murdering Brigid by Aemilia Black. 

The Blacks finally fully overthrew Brigid as coven leader, locking her up in the cells and replacing her with Victoria. Celestina was NOT thrilled about letting a hybrid witch/wolf be coven leader but lost the vote. She did however try to call off the wedding between Victoria and Aurora. But when Aurora insisted on still marrying Victoria, Celestina kicked her out of the Black coven for good. (Additionaly, Ellery finally filled Victoria in on EVERYTHING and who her real father was and the fact that they were siblings.) In essence Victoria went from heir of the Devereauxs to A wolf, coven leader, and inheriting a whole family all in one day.

The pack rallied together to vote Victoira in as the Alpha to replace Derrick. She appointed Eden as her Beta, seeing Eden as someone who understood what the pack needed and wanted and who could offer her other perspectives as someone from a powerful wolf family. 

Around that time, Aemilia Black had slowly begun to come around to Presley. She saw Presley as dutiful, dedicated, and useful and after they got closer she asked Presley to bond with her. 

One night about a month later, a body showed up at the door of the Compound. The body was a very sick and mangled Noah Niccolai. They quickly realized Noah had not in fact been killed but held captive by the government this whole time, having had her bond to Ellery severed. 

Meanwhile, while grieving the loss of Derrick, Presley and Eden were abducted on sentry duty. The Manor went into uproar trying to figure out how or where they had went. Aemilia Black could feel Presley being tortured and that was all they had to go on. 

Victoria planned a rescue mission that was voluntary. All wolves participated. They went together and found Eden and Presley being held by some back woods hunters where Presley had been brutally tortured to try and get Eden to give information on the witches. Neither of them had cracked. 

During the rescue mission the wolves found a wolf in wolf form chained in a cage by the hunters, stuck in wolf form. They brought the wolf back with him and when the drug keeping him stuck that way wore off, they learned it was Cash Stone, Presley’s brother who everyone thought was dead. 

Victoria and Aurora were married in a small, quiet private ceremony but thrown a surprise reception by their loved ones when the rest of the manor found out about it. Once they were married, Victoria bonded to Aurora. The bond and Victoria’s hybrid nature make her the most powerful person in the manor. 

During the rescue mission for Presley and Eden, Aemilia went to Noah and Ellery. She wanted to try and restore Noah’s lost magic so that Ellery and Noah could restore their bond and help with the rescue. They were unsuccessful. 

What aemilia did not know is that she caught a magical virus from Noah. later, when she performed Victoria and Aurora’s marriage ceremony, she gave said virus to Aurora. After the wedding in a strange enemies to lovers flirty banter way, thierry and Aemilia slept together. When Aemilia woke terribly sick, she accused Thierry of trying to kill her and locked Thierry in a cell. It was revealed a few days later that Thierry was also sick and thus not the culprit. 

All of the witches slowly fell sick to a magic virus that they later figured out was being spread through performing magic. (wildly enough we planned this pre-covid lmao) Any time a host did magic with someone else without realizing they were carrying the poison they gave it to them. All of the witches fell sick and eventually it was discovered by Peyton and Ericka who just happened to be getting freaky that wolf blood was the cure. The wolves quickly came together and cured the witches. 

HOWEVER the witch virus killed Augustin Crow (the holistic coven leader), Devon Vaus, and Mika Iwata. (Mika was actually killed by Thierry but Aemilia helped her cover it up). 

The witches all realized that this whole thing had been a set up. Noah arriving at their door as a biological attack. She had been the catalyst for the virus. She was cured and her magic returned. She and Ellery are now bonded again. Making them the current third bonded pair in the game. (Not including Victoria and Derrick cuz he’s dead).

LASTLY, very recently Eden went missing on sentry and was later found dead, drained of blood. (This wasn’t in the plan but the player left so here we are). Everyone is grieving currently as she was very close to the pack, Especially Presley. Victoria secretly appointed Ellery as Beta in the interim but no one knows that yet. Victoria proposed putting the entire manor on permanent lockdown, no one in or out until they get the answer. The residents of the manor will soon find out that it was the vampires who are arriving soon. When the vampires arrive, the lockdown spell will be broken and that’s when new characters will be free to arrive. 

Other characters you should know about

Ana: Reluctant solider but a good fighter, has been here since day one and has SEEN SOME SHIT and lost some people.  Lucas: Ellery’s and Victoria’s brother, Reed’s adopted son. A foster kid with some anger issues who accidentally killed his brother at the ripe age of 8 triggering his wolf curse super young. Isa: Derrick’s sister who was once part of Bran’s pack in WA, however left with Bran’s permission about 5 years ago to become a hired gun for witches to kill hunters and government agents and dispose of their bodies silently. She became a trained assassin, but accidentally killed a family of witches in an explosion and has come to the compound to find atonement.  Lou and Theo: Human best friends who have been in the cells since the game started. 100% Theo is secretly in love with Lou.  Haven: Chaos baby immortal witch who has since had quite a dark night of the soul and change of heart. She’s starting to turn her shit around and be a better person.  Minni: a new holistic witch who only came across her powers recently. But they had been blocked by her father. When she realized Noah’s powers were also being blocked by something they figured out it was the same thing. Now, Minni’s grabbing life by the horns and embracing magic and opportunity.  Ronan: The last survivor of Elias’s crew. He was not involved in the plot to kill Derrick and the Devereauxs. But he’s still really sad his friends are dead. Kyle was executed after the fact. He keeps to himself but is a bit of an ass hole. He recently had one (1) moment of vulnerability. Puck: new kid on the block. Holistic witch son of Original witches close to the Deverauxs. He’s fascinated by wolves and wants to develop a cure for lycanthropy. Even if people don’t want that.  Alex and Peyton: also fairly new, Best friends who grew up in foster care together. Alex is a vet student and knew exactly what to do to help Peyton when she was bitten and turned by a werewolf. She brought her to Carden but now Peyton’s in gen pop and Alex is part of the human blood supply.

Other important changes of note:

The wolves have recently been given uniforms. When we add you to the GC you’ll see pictures. But they’re fancy and cool.

The wolves now live in the manor with everyone else since the wolf quarters burned down. However they rebuilt a barn to chain up on full moons. 

The humans have recently been moved out of the cells and into a bedroom. 

THAT SHOULD BE EVERYTHING! If you’re a current player and feel something substantial is missing hit me up. If you’re a new player, thanks for reading this giant post. Obviously we don’t expect you to know EVERYTHING but this will help you understand where things are at now. Everyone is beginning to work together as a unit, there’ a significant amoutn more respect among leaders. The big power players in regard to leadership are Victoria, Aemilia, Thierry, Ellery, and Aurora. Anywaaysss I def didn’t link to everyone’s bios here becuase I didn’t want to overwhelm you so don’t feel obligated. But it def wouldn’t hurt to give some of the ones not linked here a read when you have time.
