So in my head, faraday is the first escaped gen 3 synth. He knows very little about the wasteland and he's never had someone to call family. He goes to far harbor and meets dima and falls in love. Dima is the first of their kind, and faraday essentially has to come to grips with learning how to be a person. And then faraday gets pregnant and the child isn't biologically dimas but they raise the baby :)
