I hope y'all know that most modders are chills (emphasize on most )
I personally won't attack you for using / modding the same vanilla assets available from the game files, that'd be insane
With that said Its totally normal to feel frustrated or annoyed when someone releases something that you planed to do or close to an idea you had or even just the same thing, it's normal to feel that way; doesn't give you a free pass to be an asshole about it, just vent it out in private and carry on releasing your own version/your mod
There's seems to be a misunderstanding when it comes to Private Mods tho; when I say that one of my mod is "private" this doesn't mean "I own that asset don't you dare use it" it just mean "I modded it for my character and don't plan on making a public version"
Modding is a creative hobby, just like writing, drawing; we create stuff out of love for a media we love. We don't owe you anything; when I mod an outfit for Valentin, I don't HAVE to make it public simply because "I have the files already"
When someone mod a vanilla asset that nobody had the idea to mod yet on their character, they don't magically become the sole owner of that asset; if you don't want to use that asset for any reason, be it because you're afraid that modder might attack you or because for you its a sign of respect to not use the same asset, either way this isn't the modder's fault; unless the modder clearly stated their stance on the matter, any and all What-May-Happen-If scenarios you create in your brain isn't the modder's responsibility
Nobody own vanilla assets / game files and unless the modder is known to be aggressive over such things, don't assume we all bark and attack others for modding stuff hfjdjjgjdfh 🤏
