Death
While an ending may bring a sense of loss and grief, it opens up the way for new beginnings. Death encourages us to embrace the twists and turns of life and enjoy the fruits of our labour. It can be seen as a dynamic force and opportunity for change.
It may be difficult to let go of the past, but you will soon see its importance and the promise of renewal and transformation.
To welcome new you must alter yourself to get rid of the old, Change in your life should be embraced.
A skeleton clad in armour rides atop a white horse. This represents the grim reaper. while he may be armoured, he is not armed with a sword; he is not malignant or violent.
The white horse is a sign of purity. It symbolises the blank page and the new beginnings that come with the death of old things. The black armour paired with the white horse illustrate yin and yang; balance.
The only thing the rider carries is a banner with a white, five-petal rose, reflecting beauty, purification, and immortality and the number five representing change. These show that death is much more than just life ending. Death is about changes, transformations, rebirths, ends and new beginnings.
On the ground is a fallen king without his crown, representing the equality of death. Death is inescapable no matter the power you have attained. The fallen king is a reminder to be humble.
The bishop is a reminder that death comes to those who are enlightened. The bishop faces death willingly, his enlightenment teaching him death is not to be feared.
In the corner are two girls, they show the two reactions people can have to death. Like the king and bishop, they can either embrace it or ignore it. The choice is made by everyone, big or small.
The ship reiterates the fact that death is not an execution but a ferryman; guiding souls to the great hereafter.
Death is ruled by Pluto, the planet of transformation, rebirth and renewal. Pluto’s influence is intense, life altering and profound.

Hi Mr. Wick!
I've always been curious about your nickname "Baba Yaga".
You probably know that in Slavic mythology, Baba Yaga is something of a mediator between the world of the dead and the world of the living. This character lives on the edge of the forest in a hut on chicken legs and this hut symbolizes a coffin (the ancient Slavs buried their dead in huts. Damn, I think I can talk about mythology all day), and Baba Yaga is a guide for the souls of the departed (Yes, Slavic fairy tales have a terrible meaning, almost all of them).
I'm wondering what you think of this nickname? Thanks for the answer, anyway!
I don't mind it. I actually read stories about the Baba Yaga growing up. And I had one in my collection, a beautifully illustrated children's book from the turn of the 20th century, by Ivan Bilibin. I'm looking for another copy now, if anyone can find it.
Anyway, she is a very dark mythological figure, akin to a grim reaper. But I was never afraid of that witch. I thought, if she ever came for me, I'd send her packing. I'd fight for my life no matter what.
So, when Viggo used to say that I wasn't the Baba Yaga, but rather the person you'd send to kill the Baba Yaga…I suppose that made more sense to me.
(OOC Author's Note: Credit to @johnwickb1tsch for the idea of John owning that book! It came from Chapter 10 of the Night Nurse.)

I'm so fucking happy they brought back the Illustrated Guide to Soul Reapers bit. Bleach doesn't even take itself seriously. It's so refreshing.

Happy WBW!
Tell me about the culture in your world in regards to death and the afterlife.
i.e. what are the most common beliefs about it, is there fear surrounding death or something else, are there any gods of death and how to people in your world feel about them, is there an afterlife that people believe in and how does it work, what rituals and practices are there in regards to the dead (burials, mummification, burying them with important objects, burning the body, etc), and anything else you would like to share
<333
Hi Anna! Thanks for the awesome question!
ATQH:
So, in the world of ATQH, there's only two major deities as of right now. (I really need to rework the religion/gods in this world, but it's fine.) And the one who is involved in death is called The Light. The general belief is that after you die, the Light is literally a "light at the end of the tunnel", and guides your soul to the afterlife, away from darkness and malevolent entities that might attempt to swallow or destroy your soul. For this reason, a common inscription on gravestones is "May the Light guide [them] out of the dark." or something similar. Burial is generally considered the correct practice for dealing with corpses, and funerals typically include a blessing said to help aid the soul in finding the light.
CoS:
In the world of CoS, there's actually multiple gods associated with death. The most important and major one is Morian, who is the goddess of death and fate, known as the Reaper. She collects the souls of the dead, either in person or via crows, which are seen as her messengers and collectors. Being the goddess of fate, she knows exactly when, where, and how every person will die. This is generally thought to be inescapable, and any attempt to escape your fated death and prolong your life will lead you directly to your death, and there are several myths illustrating this. (Ala "Appointment in Sumara" or any of various Greek myths.) Ghosts or spirits that remain in the mortal realm are thought to be those who died before their fated time, and as such were unable to be found and led to the afterlife. These spirits are often laid to rest by Spirit Mages. The other gods associated with death are in fact two aspects of the same god, the genderfluid deity of healing. Their two aspects Ayel (masc.) and Ayelen (fem.) each represent different types of wounds and deaths. Ayel is typically associated with violent wounds and sudden deaths, while Ayelen is associated with illness and slow deaths. Corpses are usually buried, and funerals include a blessing or small sermon by a priest of Morian. The grave-diggers usually serve this role, being traditionally trained in burial rites and Morian traditions.

I'm rewatching Bleach and just saw the Illustrated Guide to Soul Reapers section where Shuhei gives Captain Komomura a dog brush and I completely forgot it existed. Like, seeing Shuhei being happy that he made Komomura happy and thanking Orihime is so sweet. Hell, Orihime is sweet, I love her so much. <3

Spoilers for bleach: No breaths from Hell
(Sorry I love ichika so much I had to post about it)
Not lying, I hope after the final season of bleach has been animated there’s needs to be a side series of shenanigans that takes place with the family’s after the epilogue, like I wanna see them just mess about and cause chaos (specifically Ichika, I love the kurosaki’s don’t get me wrong but Ichika is such a little shit I love her, she genuinely just likes to joke around and the soul society is so funny) like the illustrated guide to soul reapers but longer episodes. Also I want Bleach: No breaths from Hell to get finished and animated, like i want a continuation, I wanna know where everyone is!
I genuinely need to see these panels in colour for my health:
#bleach#ichika abarai#bleach no breaths from hell#please I need just a season of pure comedy#where nothing goes wrong unless rukia gets to be a badass and save everyone#ikkaku madarame
