Hi!, it's dream time again.

Apparently all siblings had stayed the night at Gabriel's place, but he wakes up alone, even V1 had gone somewhere else without telling him.

The day started badly for the fallen angel as his sadness was higher than normal (seemed like depression, and the insecurities that maybe his loved ones did just left him after all), eventually he does find Uriel in the apartment, and while in a different room Gabriel tells that he loves him thinking that will make him feel better, Uriel does respond positively, but with a very desinterested tone of voice (also i fully headcanon your Uriel to have that tone of voice, not because of actual desinterest, that's how his voice is naturally)

Gabriel knows that's how his brother talks but his emotions overwhelm him anyway and starts to freeze in sadness.

The dream just skips Uriel helping his brother but it's implied he just heard the heart wrenching sobs and sprinted to his brother.

To me it felt a bit out of character, you will be the one to decide if it was that way, but that how the dream was.

Just imagine the scene the rest is going to come across once they come back.

GUUAHHHH....THIS IS VERY CUTE.....you're absolutely right about uriel's voice and affect!! his tone is quite muted and often sounds distant, as he is someone almost always lost in thought considering all he knows. and even without the constant influx of knowledge, uriel tends to respond very slowly to things, taking a few minutes to reply to someone when they address him (he describes it to others that his mind sort acts on a queue system). gabriel would know all of this of course, but as a fallen angel of treachery, he can absolutely be prone to despondency and become over-emotional at times, especially concerning feelings of loss or grief. so i could see how he would give in to that despite evidence to the contrary, and uriel, though in over his head with something like this, would do whatever he could to reassure him. he would feel guilty knowing gabriel's emotions are more volatile these days, but gabe would apologize in return for putting pressure on uriel like that since he really does know full well how much he cares for him. through it they probably both realize that raphael forcing them all to talk about their feelings has had tangible benefits lol

Hey so I’m back (the person who asked about the time measurement in “Take My Arms”) to say I absolutely loved the rest of the fic. I really enjoyed the character development both Techno and Phil went through throughout the fic and getting to see the way they both end up together terrorizing the bigots of the desert was wonderful. Was sobbing at the part where Phil died had me fighting back tears cause I was absolutely reading this at work. Just the visual you painted in my head of Techno putting Phil’s body in the bedroll was the breaking point. I was like 90% Phil was gona come back, but still it got to me. The world building you did in the Ebony plane was incredible! I love a good info dump and Kristin’s explanation of the magic and spirits tied everything together so well. And oooooo the Quackity/Techno flashbacks. Man Techno really did a number on him! But I like that they still became tentative friends after all was said and done. You asked what my thoughts were on Chapter 18 and I’ll be honest, I’m a bit confused on that but cause there’s a chapter 18 and then one labeled eighteenth, so I’m gona roll em together. I pretty much knew early on in the fic that Techno was also had wings. It was pretty obvious (at least to me) with the fact that he had a voice talking to him since Phil had the same thing, even if he ignores it. Still, the reveal was fantastic! And the way Techno used his own curse to get on Phil’s level and try to calm him down and let him know he was okay, he wasn’t going to hate him was so sweet. Ah! I could go on and on about all the little details I loved about the fic, but those are the major things I loved about it. Sorry it took so long to get back to this, life went and lived and my brain has been a bit fried lately so it been hard to put thoughts into words. But you’re a wonderful writer and I will definitely be coming back to reread this fic again in the future, as well as keeping an eye on your other fics (see you have a new one out, haven’t gotten to it yet again because life). In fact… I love their potential friendship so much it’s hard for me to ship them esp bc fandom portrays it as super tragic romeo and juliet stuff or Fenimore being “b-baka” which like I get where that comes from and yall have my support but my broship does so much more for me.

Like they are both massively social awkward people who default to tsun or cold fronts. Just the amount of miscommunication between them is kind of hilarious. But they can also understand each other in a way Senel or Shirley can’t. They know much better what it’s like to be a part of Ferines society and play a role.

I like to imagine them having really trivial arguments and that’s why in my Berseria au they’re basically siblings x]  

general opinions: Walter is supposed to be a foil to Senel or so I hear but he’s so much more like Shirley. Except instead of rejecting his position he embraced it as the one thing he had… it’s why his recovery is so much harder to write than Shirley’s.

Add in Maurits manipulating them both like fiddles and well ouch.

I think he’s interesting because he’s a Ferines not driven by hate (like Maurits), barvery (Stella), or pure duty (Shirley) but his own unique sense of justice. I’d like to see him live and find his answer no matter how hard it may be.

When I first played DS I kinda thought Shing/Hisui was cute and I still do but I don’t seriously ship it haha. It’s maybe plausible though? Hmm.... I see Ines as more teasing him gosh Hisui is hard to seriously ship w/ when it comes to non Sleeping Princess people huh :P

friendship with: I really loved his relationship with Beryl in the DS version!! I feel like a lot of Beryls scenes w him and/or Ines were taken out in R.... hmmm I could be misremembering. They act like such kids thought and theyre cute - obviously caring for each other and all.

Speaking of kids - KUUUUNZIIIITE, I love his teasing of Hisui. He’s exactly like a stepchild testing out his new dad,,, the hatless skit is still one of my faves. He also really helps Hisui grow as a character and vice versa aaaa

general opinions: He’s p much always in my party bc of his bamf healing abilities and sniping. Honestly such a solid character as far as playstyle goes? Seriously need more boys like this. I want to hear about hunting and playing with Kohaku as kids too!

Playing R def made me cool on him bc mmm writing choices :/ I think he always had problems though so it was kinda nice to take a good look at those. And again see how he really grows. I think going to his hometown and seeing how close life was like behind the barrier really puts his protectiveness into perspective.

Also he’s still probably my fave aesthetically as the Hearts bunch besides Ines~ I’ll have to replay the DS version for more thoughts, but I really like him and he’s towards the mid-top of Hearts cast ranking (theyre all so goood).

so here they are now!! :0 it’s kinda long though. Sorry about that. Unlike my post about GOTG Vol. 2 that one time, for this one I just kinda wrote down some erratic notes about thoughts and reactions I had as I watched the movie, and then I kinda summed up my opinion about it overall down at the end?? so yeah. That’s how this one is gonna play out lol. Generalized running commentary style.

Like fr. Cogman to dying Burton and Vivian and Cade as they were gonna jump outta that plane onto the Cybertronian tendril whatevers. Just. Small bits of physical reassurance and comfort in times of real great distress. I appreciate that a LOT more than like, watching two characters make out right before the big climactic final showdown lmao. Thank u movie wow I really didn't expect that - SO THERE WAS A COMBINER TEAM!! A COMBINER MINOTAUR!!! DANG NOT EVEN GONNA LIE THAT THING WAS NEATO!!! - Ok forget what I said about Hot Rod at the beginning he redeemed himself at the end. I didn't like him and first but now,, , now we chill. Granted I still can't see him as being HOT ROD bc he's just so different from what I know him as Rodimus but I can still appreciate him as his own character. Cool cool. - OPTIMUS RIDING THE ROBOT HYDRA INTO BATTLE AND BLOWING EVERYTHING UP WAS GREAT. MAN THAT WAS GOOD. "DID YOU FORGET WHO I AM" WOOOO BOY CHILLS MAN!!!! - OH COME ON they still made out. Lmao. Dangit. It was inevitable but I mean come on man. Alright. They kept it short and quick thank you tho if u had to put in a make out scene at least u kept it to a minimum. Thank you. Can we get back to the robots now pls. - AAAAA BUMBLEBEE'S "STING LIKE A BEE" LINE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - that ending was pretty sudden lmao. A lot of this movie was sudden and fast. They just jump cut STRAIGHT to those credits man not even an ending panorama or clean slow zoom out shot or anything lmao - AND OH BOY THEY TEASED UNICRON’S GONNA ACTUALLY COME BACK AND APPEAR IN ANOTHER MOVIE AAAAAAA OH NO OH BOY NOT AGAIN GOSH DARN IT LMAO 

All in all, surprisingly, I actually ended up kinda enjoying it!! Like it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!! Tbh for me it might even be second best in the series!! (First being the first movie from 2008 lmao) Honestly I was really REALLY surprised at how much I didn't hate it. Like. I still dislike it to a degree because it's still Bayverse, and I probably won't watch it again unless I'm with friends (like I do with the rest of the transformers movies) but it honestly wasn't too too bad! It really exceeded my expectations as far as plot, and I wasn't hardcore cringing for most of the movie so hey that's a plus!! The movie had a lot of genuinely funny moments, especially with Cogman, which got some pretty good laughs outta me like I was really having fun at those parts!! Optimus’ absence for most of the movie didn’t sit well with me for some reason. Like it just felt strange. But it kinda had to be for the story to move forward so I guess I can forgive that lol. The pacing was REALLY whack and way too fast though. Like they were REALLY trying to cram a whole lotta stuff into a relatively short amount of time. The movie's almost two and a half hours long but it really didn't feel like that because of how fast the pacing was. Some of the dialogue felt really forced because of this issue too. It didn’t feel genuine sometimes. But that has to be like, pretty much my only specific issue with it?? surprisingly?? wow. I'm honestly super shocked lmao dang man I didn’t think I’d like this movie at all but I was very much proved wrong!! I hated those old ladies tho and their obsession to get Vivian a boyfriend and the whole innuendo thing. Yeah. No. Don't do that. Stop. I'm too ace for this.

draw as much as possible! even if it’s just lines and shapes with no meaning, you’re still developing your hand/eye skills

BUT: dont draw if you’re not feeling it! if you’re feeling fried, it’s better to take a break. go on a walk to somewhere scenic, read your favorite book, listen to some new music, hang out with friends, or just take a nap! rest up and find some inspiration! you can come back to your sketchbook when you feel energized again

draw stuff that you like! you’ll improve way faster if you’re passionate about what you’re doing

look at art you like with a critical eye. try to examine the different components and figure out what you think works or doesn’t work. try incorporation those components into your own work

read a lot of tutorials and other resources, but take what they say with a grain of salt

ultimately, remember that the only real rule to drawing is that doing it should make you happy

good luck!! i do my best not to pick, but it’s a real struggle; i have lots of scars from it too. ;v; im cheering for you!!!

guys okay so i watched ordinal scale and im literally dying. like i stepped out of the theatre and my hands were SHAKING!! that’s just how good the movie was!!! but i can’t express all my feelings towards the movie in such a small text post like this, so im gonna go full-on sao trash under the read more. feel free to click on it if you want my opinion on the movie!~ (will contain spoilers ofc lmao)

okay so i wanna start by firstly saying that ordinal scale is a straight up 10/10! i would literally not change anything about the movie. it was perfect - the characterisations, the action, the animation, the music, the story, the pacing, it was all perfection!!!! so now onto the actual story itself…

i LOVED the augma!!!! the whole concept of it being a connection between vr and reality was amazing imo, and will definitely influence technology in the future! also the fact that it also had a full dive function was a rlly well thought out addition that was just enough of a twist to surprise me! plus the augma was best exhibited in a movie environment - the fx sounds were absolutely stunning, and left me awe stuck as the clang of swords rang through the cinema! i myself felt nervous as kirito and asuna versed the bosses from their past, and got chills down my spine if they tripped (rip kirito)

this also leads me to asuna’s character development in the movie. i want to thank the producers and kawahara-sensei so so much for giving asuna as big a role as she played in the movie!!! i know that kirito is the overall protagonist, but allowing asuna to grow as well made me happy enough to cry aaa… and i felt that the way that kawahara-sensei dealt with her ptsd was also really thoughtful and well handled. i know that losing her memories was a big part of why she was suffering, but it was obvious that she had demons from her past that began to eat away at her when she was wounded in ordinal scale. her nightmares were physically heartbreaking to watch, and seeing her cry without kirito being able to help her ruined me tbh… but im just so glad that she became so much stronger for it!!!

this also leads me to express how mature kirito and asuna’s relationship is becoming!!! no longer are they the love-struck teens who can’t keep their hands off each other. they handle issues in such a responsible way, and they know each other better than themselves tbh!!! when asuna dropped that tea cup in alo, kirito knew that she would be able to get through it in her own way, in her own time, and he knew that she had that power! also asuna cares about kirito’s health so much - making sure he’s eating right, checking up on him - just like a real long-term relationship couple. domestic fluff hurts me in the best way jkhljk

i also loved the present that he got for asuna!!! i very much doubt that it was an engagement ring as i have heard people stipulate, but im 100% sure it’s a commitment ring!!! and the romantic date under the stars where they shared a tender kiss… aaAA I DIED!!!

one thing im also so glad for was the role that sinon was given!!! im honestly so happy that she wasn’t removed to the sidelines and made a background character. although she wasn’t a sao survivor, the way she held her ground against sao bosses, and the level 100 boss was outstanding, and was very true to her character - she would defeat any enemy to strengthen her heart, and the fact that she was given the opportunity even in an ar like ordinal scale was a wonderful choice!!

now onto the whole ‘levels that weren’t played’ situation. i think it was rlly insightful into where progressive might take us! we now know the level 91 and level 100 bosses, and having defeated at least one of them in ordinal scale, im certain that the same could be done eventually in progressive. it also showed how sao could have gone imo! the design of the final boss was AWESOME and their attacks were worthy of praise as the ‘final’! ofc they had to fit the fight into a movie, but i would love to know how exactly a boss like that would be defeated over a proper time span - at least hours would have to be dedicated to beating them tbh! and the actual 100th level itself had such beautiful scenery! i was really curious to see more of the world from that level, but im sure that will eventually come into being. the bridges and lakes were so glistening and pretty oh my gosh…

but man that scene with asuna dealing the final blow with the spirit of yuuki by her side as she performed mother’s rosario made me cry!!!! YOU CANT JUST DO THAT??? MY HEART CAN ONLY HANDLE SO MUCH EMOTIONAL STRESS!!!! I WAS SHAKING ASUNA LOVES YUUKI SO MUCH AAAA

ALSO THE SWORD THAT KIRITO GOT FOR BEATING THE 100TH LEVEL!!! WTF IS THAT!!!! IT WAS SO COOL YET SO OP!!!! I WANT THAT SWORD OMGGG!!!!

that aside, now onto yuna! I LOVED YUNA! she was such an amazing character, and proof of what could happen to ai’s with enough technological prowess. her singing was pretty, and her love for asuna made me laugh - especially seeing kirito’s reaction to her kissing her LMAO! she was also so sweet and selfless, only wanting to allow others to enjoy the life she had lost to sao, and make her father happy again… her connections between sao and ordinal scale were very believable, as she and eiji were both in the game, and she was the product of a quite realistic struggle of a father who lost the one he loves most… the way he went about making her was unethical, but it was understandable enough to feel pity for yuna. also her singing voice was amazing, and her version of smile for you was so nostalgic and sentimental - took me right back to the original sao… :’) plus her relationship with eiji was so so cute!!!! aaAA!

i myself thought that eiji was an amazing character!!! his motives to inflict sao-level fear into ordinal scale were understandable, as the loss of a friend is very hard to deal with alone. but man, when he broke klein’s arm, I WAS SO SHOCKED! like this boy is SUPER fit omg lmao! poor klein…. ; v ; but i do agree that his means of getting revenge for those who did not recognise him during the sao incident weren’t right - meaning he was a believable antagonist. he must have felt like he went through sao for nothing, if to not be mentioned in the sao archives, and this would therefore spark hatred, but hurting others is just as bad… that’s why yuna’s father was also to be pitied… he thought his daughter deserved to be recognised for her life, and therefore becoming a vrmmorpg ai diva would gain her attention, but it was only fuelling her father’s fantasy, which was not an ideal dream to have. but he eventually realised the fault of his ways and moved on, which i think was great development for him - to not follow the path of kayaba and instead continue to live life the way he used to for yuna… so sweet….

the way that kirito cared for asuna when she lost her memory was so lovely tbh! he was with her the whole time, supporting her in the ways he knew how, and even taking her to the doctors??? like what a good boy!!!! he always did those subtle things to show her support, and she knew it and was thankful for it (like reading her diary to ensure she remembered him, at least). i just want them to get married and love each other forever is that too much to ask gkfkddk

ALSO THE FAMOUS BOOB SCENE!!!! okay i admit i yelled when kirito kissed asuna and layed on her chest. IT WAS JUST SO PRECIOUS AND HE CARES FOR HER SO MUCH!!!! SHUT UP OH MY GOD!!!!

basically overall my kids have grown up so much and they continue to grow even now! the story was so original and breath taking, even inside the sao franchise, and the characters were the same lovely faces, yet they have developed so much to overcome their trauma and live every day the best they can. the music was masterful, the animation was brilliant, and i just couldn’t believe they fit so much into 2 hours yet make it not rushed, and squeeze the most out of every moment they could! seeing my children on the big screen was enough to make me cry, and i just want them all to be happy, and live life for themselves and each other, like the little family they are!!!

aaaa im getting stupidly inspired to work again on my old Dating Sim Ghost Tragedy Game since I had that dumb idea today about a new Dating Sim Ghost Tragedy Game I’ve had like five separate ideas for different tragic undead datey games :P Lets talk about this particular one!! I’m pretty tired so I cant really write it a big post like i did with today’s new idea, but I’ll try my best ^_^

The idea is that it’d be sort of a traditional medieval fantasy setting but its more like a slice of life tale of the regular citizens in these sorts of worlds, rather than a big destined hero thing. Sorta like the appeal of the Atelier series? I’m thinking the protagonist could maybe be a blacksmith or a gardener or some other down-to-earth job? I just feel like he’s a hardworking chill sort of dude, sometimes kinda comes off as emotionless to others, kinda depressed but devoting himself to his work helps him smile again. He’s really passionate about whatever he does! And i think deciding his job would be a big step towards developing this idea, because having it as a minigame would help add structure to the plot and some relief from the sadness. I dont wanna make it too similar to Atelier though... So yeah, the protagonist is this cute mid-twenties relateable fella who’s just trying to do his job. I think I wanna give his outfit dungarees or something? I feel like he’d always look a bit work-uniform-style even when he’s off duty, he’s kinda too lazy to change clothes. A perpetually bored and disinterested guy. Or, at least that’s the impression he gives off to people who don’t know him, he only brightens up around the few friends he has. AND HE PUTS 100% INTO THAT SMILE, GODDAMMIT

And then his childhood friend is someone who actually was sort of a ‘standard rpg hero’, but a really sad subversion of it. At the moment he’s currently the main love interest, and he’s still sorta the catalyst for the plot and the mysteries and all, even if you don’t pick him. or I dunno, maybe I’ll just make it only one love interest but many multiple endings, but I think this character would be happy if his love interest was happy with somebody else in the endings where they dont get together. He’d be crying but happy. Anyway, my mental image for him now is this really weary chronically shy cinnamon roll who’s like a big ol tall beanpole knight with long rapunzel hair that he hides behind. Maybe white hair cos that’d fit thematically with his plot, but is that too sephirothy? When they were children, knight-guy used to be this bright and uplifting figure who always protected protagonist and had such great dreams of being a hero who could save everyone! And he went off to join the army at a young age, and then he just... shattered. He came back disgraced as a deserter, the decade of loyal service ignored by all his former neighbours just because he’d quit in the end. He had a complete breakdown and just couldnt take the violence anymore, now he’s barely 23 years old and already retired. And completely alone. No family, just trying in vain to take care of his fragile self as he locks himself away in his house and everybody gossips about him. And the thematic thing is that his biggest fear is spiders. The moment he snapped was when he was left injured on the battlefield unable to move for hours, trapped under a pile of bodies of his fellow soldiers, trying to play dead to survive. He just remembers seeing a spider crawling across the face of the man next to him, the man in pieces... So everyone horrid in the village likes to mock him by scaring him with spiders, and I havent decided on his name yet but he probably has a spider-based nickname. He’s unlucky enough to even look spidery :P

Ooooooohhhhhh and for extra irony, the village is next to a magic forest populated by demon spiders. WHOOPS, FATE HATES YOU! They’re kinda like both the gods and demons of this village, they’re seen as morally bankrupt dangerous trickster spirits that’ll do whatever they want regardless of good and evil. Everybody talks about how horrible they are and warns that anyone who does [insert sin according to our religion] will be cursed by them, but they also make offerings to them and consider them entirely responsible for the success of the harvest, etc. Its like if you knew your gods were unpredictable dicks but you still tried to placate them with gifts! (like most old european pantheons I guess) And even though this setting is indeed a magical one, the existance of the spider spirits is kind of an unknown mystery similar to real life gods. People very rarely see them in times of need, and nobody can ever prove it really happened. The forest is indeed the ‘forest of spiders’ but the only proven fact is that it has a lot of (as far as we know) completely ordinary spiders in it. Nobody knows why so many spiders cluster in this one area, so making up a legend about gods seems like a possible thing that could happen. or maybe this one area really is the centre of the world where the One True Spiders weave the webs that tell the future, and these are their mortal followers praying in worship much like the humans do... Anyway, its just a cool aesthetic thing of a cobweb-encrusted forest where entire trees get coccooned annually as the seasons come and go~ And a cool civilization that has a lot of trade in silk and weaving! Kinda based on the old ps1 game Jade Cocoon, though that revolved around magical spirit silkworms instead.

At the time the story starts, best friend knight guy has been back home for a fair few years now. Him and protagonist met again, and protagonist is goddamn determined to take care of his ill friend and somehow manage to convince the town to take him back! Its basically two depressed people holding on to each other as their lifeline, and helping each other compensate for the things they’ve each been robbed of. Protagonist struggles with expressing emotion and being a complete pushover who can never tell anyone what he really wants, so its helping him a lot that for once he’s determined and won’t just mindlessly obey his parents. You cant tell me to cast aside my best friend! Plus best friend just generally thinks the goddamn world of him and helps him be happy! And best friend suffers from seeing himself as worthless and being anxious about disaster at every turn, feeling that nobody loves him and nobody SHOULD love him. And not being capable of taking care of his more mundane day-to-day needs because he doesnt believe he deserves to like.. eat, sleep, leave the house, etc. Poor guy... I’m so glad I invented a protagonist character that can be there for him! And seriously they both just renew each other’s self worth and I’m getting so emotional about this pairing before I’ve even developed it... GAHHHH

SO YEAH LETS GET DOWN TO THE ACTUAL PLOT It was kinda necessary to establish the history leading up to it, because that’s why it’s so tragic :(

Last year, the protagonist’s best friend vanished overnight and never came back. Everyone says he just ran away again like a coward, nobody even looked for him except you. They say he was last seen walking into the forest, and nobody will listen when you say that’s IMPOSSIBLE! His biggest fear was the spiders! The protagonist frantically tried to find him.. tried to find his body... tried to at least investigate this murder mystery and find some closure... tried to at least convince people that it WAS a murder mystery.... With the loss of the person he cared about most, the protagonist has slunk back into his own shell again, and starts to give up hope on life. Facing the same pariah treatment they gave his spider-fearing friend, he eventually learns to stop asking questions, to stop searching, to just do whatever his parents said. And his parents said he has to have an arranged marriage, to restore their reputation, after his STUPID STUNT of causing so much FUSS over the death of some stupid deserter... Each day blends into the next, as life becomes once again just going through the motions of being a ‘proper man’. Then... One day... He comes back. The spider-haired best friend comes walking though your door like nothing had happened! But.. he isn’t quite right. Your joy starts fading to a growing dread. He doesn’t remember what happened? He walks straight past the people heckling him? He seems more peaceful than he’s ever been, he’s fearless again and he keeps answering your questions with exactly what you’re desperate to hear. Sometimes you swear you see him talking to spiders whenever you turn your back... So you have to adjust to having him back, and try and figure out the mystery of his dissappearance while worrying whether you can trust him or not. You even entertain irrational thoughts that the legends are true, and maybe you’ve invited a forest spirit into your home because it mimicked the voice of the man you loved. And... what will you do about that love? For the first time ever he’s recipricating your feelings, he knows all those words that went unspoken, as if he could hear you every night as you wished you’d confessed while you had the chance. Is this really him holding you close, or is it a cruel trick to offer you everything you wanted, so the forest can claim you just like it claimed him?

So yeah, gameplay would be like exploring around each day searching for clues, doing a certain job-based minigame, and having chances to either go down the dating sim path or mistrust this man that may or may not be the one you knew. Even options perhaps to develop a romance with other characters instead? But will there be consequences for instilling jealousy in something otherworldly...? I think maybe if you just jump right into romancing possibly-friend-possibly-doppelganger, then you get a bit of a bad ending. Agreeing with him 100% and never solving the mystery is bad, regardless of whether he’s actually trustworthy or not. Either way it ends tragically, but there might be possibly a way to get a true romance ending with him if you actually do keep on top of resolving the main plot as well as just smooching. I... won’t say whether his romance is good or bad though :P And there’d be one not-romance route, where its kinda like you have to work hard to avoid romance! The protagonist’s arranged marriage is a big problem, he’d resigned himself to that fate but now he’s starting to hope he can confess to the one he really loves instead. But he’s gotta go against the whole damn world trying to force him into this ‘destiny’... Oh and I wanna make the most of the spider aesthetic! I was thinking that ‘fate threads’ could be a big gameplay element, with the possibility of getting these out-of-context flashforwards and clues that can help you avoid a bad ending. (Like in Until Dawn!) And romance meters would be a silk thread connecting the two of you, because pretty interface elements are awesome :)

POINTLESS RANDOM DEVELOPMENT TRIVIA This is actually a super old idea that’s remained undeveloped for many years! Back when i was a lil teen I originally imagined sort of a similar thing but with mermaids/water spirits instead of spider ones. And a lake instead of a forest, naturally. Also it kept flip-flopping on the genders of the characters. Ultimately i decided delicate spider aesthetic would fit better with a m/m couple and terrifying swamp creatures of fierceness would be better as sapphic. And the het idea died quickly cos it was based on dumb gender roles that the shy one has to be the girl, blablabla :P Oh and for some reason the whole spider idea came from reading one particular case in the manga adaptation of Ace Attourney. Weird, huh?
