Eyyo, it's WIP Wednesday and I actually have something in the works I would like to share!
More so to see if I can actually do it but also to get practice with my nice new ink brush thing I bought the other day. There is a, hurdle, in obtaining the good Legends Arceus cards, as some of them in particular are uhhhhh... unfortunately VERY pricey for even most folks to consider buying one card a good idea coughcough SneaslerV alt art, pearl clan with ingo card, Iridas full art coughcough Or even just a card for a character doesn't exist yet!!
So I decided if I want something badly enough, I'll just, make my own unique cards!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So far the VERY rough prep and idea work on normal paper for 2 folks who DESPERATELY deserve their own full art cards.
Laventon has his own normal looking trainer card, but thats it for him. He doesnt even get new art for it either it's just the one from his release! If he had a full art card it would very much have to include the three P's. His Pokemon, Pokedex, and Potato Mochi!
Then the one I really wanted to do from the start when I had this idea a while ago, good ol' Warden Ingo, well before his appearance in V Star Universe with the Pearl Clan was shown. He may not be doing his signature pose, but he's with his Lady Sneasler doing Warden things.
Nothing exceedingly extravagant, but more so to see if I can go through and complete my ideas. These 2 will be on normal paper for now as practice with using my brush to line tiny details, and once done I'll pencil crayon them in with the colours I plan to use for my tried and true cards in the end, which will be watercoloured! That way I have a better visual for what I want the watercolours to be like!
So far my lining has been rather consistent in my first solid testing!
Tumblr media
I decided to do my Legends OC Akiko as my first prototype card with the inking! The only thing I didn't use my brush pen for was the writing for the pokedex and the framing of the inside portion of the box, which I used a 0.05mm pen for, but literally everything else was with one tool! Along with Akikos card, I'm gonna do this tealish colour for the border of the others cards, since I used the similar colour to the "Legends" text on the title card for Legends arceus. Along with the border, im also making my own special backing of the cards im doing!
Tumblr media
Instead of the good ol' swooshy blue backing with the cracked open pokeball we see in every card since the dawn of the TCG, these are gonna a have a Hisuian pokeball, calmly sitting in the grass with Mount Coronet in the distance! With a stylized "Pokemon" to go with it! And each back will inevitably be hand drawn!
To get an idea of why I want so much prep and practice done beforehand to the main watercoloured cards, I'm doing them to scale
Tumblr media
They are all going to be made to be the size of the real cards themselves. Practice ones too! I gotta get good with a steady hand!! So many tiny details, so many thin lines, SO MANY WAYS TO MESS UP AND WORRY!!!
BUT
Like I said, if I want a card badly enough, I'll just make it myself! XD
Hopefully you'll all like the end results of my agonies, our boys need cards of their own, even if they're just gonna be for me XD

strawberry milk 🍓 is bae 😋😍
my mom used to buy strawberry milk but she decided it contained too much sugar so she stopped buying it (which is funny bc now that im older i realise the chocolate milk we buy from the same brand contains more sugar than the strawberry milk so)
usually i buy strawberry milk in school but now that there's no school and we're all on semi lockdown i cant buy strawberry milk bc my mom won't allow me 😭
anyways drew this ystd but i was so zonked i couldnt post it 😅
drew this for fun on water colour paper to test it out then decided to ink it and colour it in with water colour bc i usually dont use water colour and i wanted to practice owo
i also need to practice drawing larger drawings more afahsfagagsg this paper isnt very big (slightly larger than a4 i believe) but larger than what im comfortable with (ard a5/a6 size)

Heya Mrs Bush, I just wanted to ask about the Fine Tec gold watercolour palette. So um I ordered one and I just wanted to ask how you've found it so far and how it differs in feel and appearance to normal watercolours. Thank you ♥︎
Oh my god im so sorry im answering this late ;;;A;;;
Well so far,i really like finetec’s golden watercolor palette because the gold really stands out on both white and black paper!
Tumblr media
finetec also really covers paint pretty well (daz an example)
Finetec really gives out a creamy texture as soon as you apply one of the pan with water, and once i used it on paper, instantly i fell in love with it. There are some colors where it doesn’t work well at the beginning but then you’ll get used to it and duh ur gonna use it soon too
If it’s about different texture and appearance to other watercolors, I’ll say fintec’s golden watercolors are very creamy other than my winsor and newton watercolor palette. I’ve seen reviews of other golden watercolor palettes such as Gansai Tambi Starry Colors pallete (golden watercolor palette) (don’t have one tho but here’s an image i found on google)
Tumblr media
It’s pretty similar to Finetec golden watercolor palette honestly (based on reviews on yt). Though Finetec gives out more shine other than the Gansai Tambi’s. Gansai Tambi shows a little duller than Finetec. But if it’s about the opacity of the paint, Finetec is a lot less opaque (blurry/transparent) than Gansai Tambi.
But if you’re looking for a cheaper option for gold watercolor palette, I definitely recommend you to buy Gansai Tambi.
I don’t know much about golden watercolor palettes other than Finetec and Gansai Tambi, but if you want to learn more about golden watercolor palettes, I suggest you to watch reviews or speedpaint! It’s very handy tbh~

i got watching these videos today about how to create your own journal book and it looks easy and fun and im very tempted to a) make one for myself to use as my bujo next year and b) make them for the peeps i play dnd with (if we ever meet up again???) idk ive got about 20 things on the go atm so idk if i want to add another one
#ive been thinking about my bujo for next year#cause im gonna have to buy a new notebook for it soon#(i like to start the year in a new book )#but like im not super happy with any of my notebook option tbh#i dont really wanna go back to a leuchtturm (i love everything about them except the pages are too thin)#i like my rhodia that im using atm but i wish there was a bit more variety in them#(one thing i love about the leuchtturms is the huge range of colours but rhodia is like blak or nothing)#i have considered getting a scribbles that matter or archer and olive because i hear great things about both#especially about the page weight - minimal ghosting plus can like handle watercolours and stuff#but i'd have to buy them online cause they arent stocked in stationary stores near me#and that puts the price up#but if i made my own#i could use leftover paper from old bujos and weve got a cupboard full of scrapbooking paper i could use#plus i could get like art quality paper and print a dot grid onto it#so i knew it'd be able to cope with watercolours or stamps or inks or whatever i wanted to use#and i could add all the features i like that not every notebook includes like extra page markers and pockets in the front and back#i would still have to rule up my own index and number the pages myself#(a big reason i was looking at scribbles that matter tbh)#but thats not a dealbreaker#plus itd make my bujo really unique and personalized#and it'd be hella cute!#i guess i'll give it a shot#might play around with it next weekend
