Wrapping his arms around the other, Splinter pulled him further into the hug. “I love you so much, my Baby Blue,” was all he could manage to say, holding onto the other tightly. They held each other in the hug, Leo’s body shaking with his quiet sobs, while Splinter gripped him securely. Leo couldn’t tell how long they were like that, sitting on the floor of the crumbling hotel lobby, and holding onto each other the way only a father and son could. It could have been a few seconds, or several hours, but it still didn’t feel like enough time.

“I’m sorry…we are running out of time, Leonardo.”
