roasting a whole chicken for the first time and bit rude of every single recipe to do everything so different
#some trim skin some slice legs some butterfly it some tie up the legs. like. dudes. what are we doing here#and i don't yet know enough about the exact Whys involved to make the choice on my own?#same with like. how to flavour it exactly? some put it inside some put the chicken on top like. so much variety.#im not as fussed by that though? i'll happily use a messed up bland chicken but not a poorly cooked chicken y'know?#anyway have gone for one of my new recipe books which sounded nice and follows it up with a pasta using the schmaltz & leftover meat#i today have learnt the word schmaltz bc of this book and i love it#and even tho i am like.... overwhelmed. i am still so excited#just me and this roast chook against the world <3#my post tag
