oh you know it's the wolfwood age discourse! and like, one the one hand, I get it, it can be very unsettling to see people shipping a character who might be a minor, but he's not. I'm not going to go back and get all of the screenshots and whatever that prove that he's An Adult, especially because in my opinion, it's beside the point. Wolfwood's rapid aging is revealed at the same time that his backstory as a caretaker to his fellow children is-it's literally (and imo pretty obviously) a metaphor for children being forced to grow up before they're ready due to trauma and responsibility! That volume is also when we see his child soldier Eye of Michael training! Wolfwood's childhood was taken away from him via parentification and abuse!

Maybe it's a bit more abstract than some people were expecting, and it's definitely a late-game development, but I think that viewing it in the context of the rest of his backstory helps it to cohere thematically.

And if anyone disagrees, that's fine! This is 30 year old manga discourse, I am not going to argue with anyone, but I'm not going to let people use very loaded language to describe it, either.
