You know, while I can look at any given part of these pants and identify a need for it, there are so many different parts that I feel like at some point they just become too much of a pain to put on and they’re no longer worth it, from an in-universe perspective

#lotro #how does that front flap thing stay where it is because the back flap doesnt go all the way down #so shouldnt the front flap be flapping around #which maybe its supposed to be and they just didnt give it its own mesh #im sure it would feel a lot less extraneous on a male character #also a huge fan of the mostly low-level leggings that have extra armor around the hips like around the outside #whats the point of that? well obviously its to protect your legs while youre riding a horse #but you cant fight from horseback at this level #you have to be i think level 75 before you can fight from horseback #and a) this armor isnt really available at that time #and b) none of the rohirric characters you meet wear armor like that and the rohirric leveled armor you can collect doesnt have that #anyway i suppose i was being mean this whole set of pants is probably just 2-3 pieces #basic pants and then the uhhhh #i forget what theyre called but the outer pants #the chaps? is that the word #but chaps refers to something a bit more american in origin theres a different word for medieval european versions #ill remember it eventually #and then the belt + the flappy thing #im reasonably certain the flappy thing isnt stitched onto the pants because a) i cant see stitches there like i can in other places #and b) its clearly thick leather while the inner layer of pants is going to be a great deal thinner #and at risk of tearing if its stitched tightly to something thicker and heavier like that #anyway thank you for attending this episode of snowy criticizes a video games fashion choices #is it historically accurate? maybe #do i care? not really
