hi i just wanted to say im genuinely obsessed with the way you draw thighs + hips + butts + the crotch region in general. thank you for your service and if you have any suggestions or resources id adore them

hi, thank you! i have a lot of fun drawing those bits so i'm glad the fun comes through :)

i can def take a crack at some notes on how i construct stuff, but especially with this general pelvis area i think a lot of how i draw it is very much individual stylization -- so what i'll go over is definitely not any kind of anatomy tutorial or step-by-step or anything like that, and i also wouldn't even really call these notes suggestions on how to draw this stuff. my real suggestion is what it always is, which is to get into anatomy studies/figure drawing first, then decide how you want to stylize starting from that foundational info! also, while i don't usually lean into this a lot in my own style, the musculature of the thighs is a lot more complex than you might expect, so it can be useful to look at more detailed anatomical diagrams in addition to just studying from models. but i hope seeing how i often do it myself is still helpful in some way!

so, for starters, and i mean this totally seriously: a lot of what i get complimented on in my art is stuff i specifically draw with horny intent, lmao. i'm not at all saying you have to be horny to get good but i think you get results from fun + fixation, because when you care a lot about the details and when you care about capturing specific stuff that you're excited about (in any way), that comes through in your drawings. so when ur deciding on how to stylize, pay attention to what little details about ur area of focus are really cute/interesting/appealing to you, and find ways to emphasize that!

honestly part of that means focus on posing as well as whatever you're doing with anatomy/stylization -- i have a thing i affectionately call the "ira neck thrust" that my friends are constantly calling me out for and it's basically just the tits and ass back arch that i'm so fond of. of course u end up noticing how i draw this area when i'm constantly drawing attention to it and making things cheesecake-y specifically to show it off, lol!

beyond that i think the summary of the rest of the notes is just to find ways to lay things out so that it's easy for you to place the shapes and details you want to stylize/emphasize. i like drawing thighs with pronounced upper muscle; i often stylize the lower half of the torso + hips with multiple repeating curves to emphasize that shape. i love hip creases and visual cues on how the thighs are moving, so i usually don't miss an opportunity to draw those in (and to pose/costume in a way that specifically shows it off, again). my anatomy in this area is usually so stylized and unrealistic that, while of course i make a lot of these decisions from a foundation of figure drawing, a ton of the actual impact/final look is just coming from style choices!

(i also only have time to throw together one example, but these things should still generally ring true for bodies of any type/size; "bony" landmarks exist regardless of weight and will show up on larger bodies as areas where tendons + muscle anchor to the bone, which can have a lot of influence on folds + the shapes of body fat, and it's always a good idea to study reference and decide from there how to stylize. "morpho: fat and skin folds" is a great anatomy book for this.)

i feel like this is all i have energy 2 throw together at the moment and it's so specific to how i draw that i'm not sure how helpful it'll be lol but!! maybe i will come back to this another day if i think of anything else. also i guess here is one final summary of why i think this method works for me

fcg and ashton -- im really glad ash specifically told fcg to hold onto the feelings they have for frida to give them smth to come home to, bc he's brought up how self destructive fcg can get bc they don't consider themself important. it was a very cute moment, and i almost cried bc i love ashton and... idk. he's not coping.

ashton gave me very manic energy this episode. a lot of emotional distress disguised as an epiphany, but that moment of them telling fcg that they can't afford to be useless explained every second of flustered panic.

(not to be that person but i uh...i am starting to ship milo and ashton. i liked it before but now i REALLY like it).

i need to know wtf talie and matt have cooked up those little bastards.

chetney getting caught in a trap almost immediately after ajit warned them to be careful or whatever was pretty funny. the whole time that was going down i kept thinking, "the world is ending. we have better shit to be thinking abt than this fr," and not in a bad way. it's just ??? bro who cares who hired you, we are BUSY. i knew chetney attacking that shop keeper was gonna bite him in the ass, and it honestly was hilarious.

i know it was just casual and also sort of a trick, but i loved fearne giving chet a little kiss. they are so real to me y'all don't understand.

i have a very complicated relationship with the matron, bc i love her aesthetic, love her vibe (tho i hate birds, but i love a raven motif), and i also will never forgive her for taking my skrunkly wunkle away from me. that shared vision between orym, chet and fearne was... fucking amazing. matt outdid himself this episode fr. it's probably one of my favourite scenes of this whole campaign.

speaking of which... VAX SCREAMING???? HE'S IN PAIN????????? LET MY BABY GIRL OUT????? I STARTED FUCKING BAWLING NO JOKE. The imagery was so visceral i felt sick to my stomach and i just started tearing up. ludinus your days are fucking numbered.

It is so easy to be like "nyahaha Wario vc I am going to write a villain!" And then they just come off as weird and cringe and like. Poorly written and thought out. But iraestra is so fucking cool, with so many layers. Still thinking about her turning to try to tell her sister about her latest discovery. Still thinking about how she was a MOTHER and she was going to have a LEGACY and she was a legacy in and of herself and now she's all that's left. Still thinking about how she thinks her family would hate her and be sickened by her for not resurrecting them with evil ass magic. How at least as I understand it, they would come back wrong (tm), but were they ever right in the first place?

She is so complicated, rhere are so many aspects and motivations inside her to keep track of, and she beautifully stays true to the lore and themes of the game! Its so unique to have a villain companion! And you are so GRACIOUS plotting with us bastwrds who are too anxious to make the mean choices in video games. "My Father Hershal , Twin sister Maggie , And My little sister Beth , she's around 18 now , Ray of sunshine that one , amazing singing voice , Maggie , last I remember she fell for one of the boys from Raul and Half-life's orignial group , Those two were pretty close with this redneck , then This guy shane happened , some of our family got killed , shane got killed , The farm burned , it was all bad , got seperated , ran into those two , been like this ever since , You? , You have any family , and You and Carver seem like an Interesting match?" Kirby said to her.

"An Older sister , Leah , got seperated around 9 months ago , With my Nephew matthew , and our dog viola , The horde wrecked our old base , Me and Carver met in a foster home , he proposed at Sixteen , got married , lost our baby a few months before the apocolypse , Stuff happend , now we're here." "Cordelia what is this." Pope demanded.

"It was just them , we made sure we weren't followed , and they would be amazing assets." Cordelia said , her tone strong and commanding.

"You! , you served?" Pope said , noticing Half-life's dog tags.

"12 years as a sniper." Half-life said with a nod and slight glare.

Pope nodded at Cordelia and Then to Wells and Carver who went with him.

"Should we be worried?" Raul questioned.

"Yes , very worried , watch your Backs." Cordelia said as Bossie walked over.

"Doc there's a rash on my-" He started untill she cut him off.

"No I will not look at the rash on your ass Bossie , now shoo ." She said waving him away , the man glared at the three outsiders , before Pouting at Cordelia walking away.

"They listen to you." Half-life stated.

"Pope may lead , but I reign." Cordelia stated.

So this is my Good Omens playlist! I wasn’t going to share it, because I was pretty sure that no one other than me would EVER want to listen to it but I showed it to a friend today and she thought it was great so here you are! Liszt: Dante Symphony: “Magnificat”

This is included both for the hell connection of it being the Dante symphony and the fact that the setting of the Magnificat is utterly angelic. If Crowley hadn’t slept through the 19th Century I would have assumed he was something of a muse to Liszt and to Berlioz, who also appears on this playlist.

Ok, this one is just about that sweet sweet “angel” lyric. The song also has some personal nostalgia for me as it appears in an absolutely awful old Mark Hamill movie of the same name that I used to watch on repeat when I was about 12.

All about that apocalypse! I wasn’t sure about including this piece - it’s one of my favourite pieces of music and I was worried I was just including it out of my own desire to be listening to it at all times - but another friend recommended it for the playlist so here it is!

Liszt: “Mephisto Waltz no. 1”

Fiendishly difficult piano piece that almost certainly would have been inspired by Crowley if he wasn’t asleep. Are we sure he was asleep? Are we sure he wasn’t off being a composer’s muse?

It’s Queen, it’s camp as hell, it might as well be their theme tune. Had to include it.

Pärt: “Speigel im speigel”

The title means “mirror in the mirror” which, just, would be enough in and of itself. But I also love what Arvo Pärt has to say about Tintinnabuli, the style of music which this piece is written in “Tintinnabuli is the mathematically exact connection from one line to another.....tintinnabuli is the rule where the melody and the accompaniment [accompanying voice]...is one. One and one, it is one – it is not two. This is the secret of this technique.” Two halves of one whole - sounds pretty ineffable to me.

“Papa Gavotte”

This is a jazz piano piece by Chilly Gonzales. No, it’s not bebop. Yes, I pretty much included it because it’s got “gavotte” in the title. It’s a nice little tune though, I reckon Aziraphale would like it.

Berlioz: Symphonie Fantastique: “Songe d’une nuit de sabbat”

Another composer I could have sworn was inspired by Crowley. He ran away from Rome in drag to chase after a woman he fancied, for someone’s sake! This is another piece I nearly didn’t include because I’m too partial to it but a friend convinced me otherwise and I’m glad they did. This piece is about witches and demons and at one point the violinists all flip their bows over and start playing with the wood instead of the horsehair! Madness!!!! Crowley may not have inspired this piece but he definitely loves it.

“Holding Out For A Hero”

Somewhere after midnight

This is on the list because of an AMAZING fanvid made by Armageddon With It (look it up on YouTube). In it Crowley is the hero that Aziraphale is constantly holding out for. Which, you know, is not wrong.

This is the first setting by Purcell of text by Shakespeare so, you know, appropriate just for that. But this whole piece is just so perfect for Aziraphale: hedonist extraordinaire. I used to sing this particular setting back in my brief career as an opera singer so it’s got some personal connection for me too.

Eyyyyyyyyy it’s the Velvet Underground! There is some actual bebop on this playlist, but obviously this isn’t it. Gets me in my dark twisty places, that’s for sure.

Upon arrival he changed out from the clothes he'd worn earier. Which was a simple white button shirt with black pants. Or rather he went back to wearing his coat again. Funny how they said it didn't suit anyone anymore. Perhaps anyone but him.

Well, luckily the hiding place had been undisturbed. But might as well take the box to another world before anyone thinks to come back here to look for either him, or the box.

Dec 2021

1 - its a referral journey with teh erlina to RSUD banten. the whole affair was finished at 13:30 ish. we ate padang afterwards. my head rly hurts when im back at mess. its throbbing at one particular spot. even after 1 PCT it still hurts. so i decided to sleep early. no productivity for tonight

2 - did laundry and bought porridge in the morning. so glad i did that instead of laying down again. BP alone today with bu ade. napped while waiting for 2 pm. lazed. off to clinic. cant bring myself to open my laptop gahhhh. 

3 - MTBS with bu sri. ate with left over warteg food from yesterday. felt so so bloated so much that i can barely finish my indomie rebus. finally vomited the indomie out. felt a bit better. tidied up the references of red book. 

4 - bp umum with mendel. bought burger bangor for 35k. got nasi kotak from puskesmas. watched dalbang. ate the chicken from nasi kotak

5 - it was raining but i rly wanted some physical activity, so i walked outside with umbrella lmaoo. the in ear headset i bought blocks the rain sound when its not too heavy. walked until the u turn near palmizio. stopped at indomaret and got tempe at mas arif. watched in the soop 2 ep 1 and did 1 pamela reif video. napped. ate seblak but unable to finish it. didnt do anything productive today. so its been 6 days of non productive days :((((

6 - met with teh Rahma in pustu. posyandu in pabean. cooked spaghetti at mess and went to pkm. the lights were out lmao. showered. o seven with nagita. tried hazelnut latte (it has a nice taste and was claimed to have no sugar). did some work on Prof’s PPT. continued in mess. slept

7 - posyandu kotabumi w teh yuyun. finished at 11. did laundry in mess. went back and hung out at mtbs. fell asleep and woke up at like 1 am bcs im on my period. showered and washed my hair lmao. the tongkrongan near the mess was playing some songs and chatting away. i shouldve did Prof’s PPT but i ended up playing w my phone and sleeping again. 

8 - KB with bu imas and bu yeni. got to try removing implants. i think i cut the skin too wide (3-4 mm ish) but it got out smoothly. did some work while waiting for 2 oclock in my in-ear headset to nicely block out sounds on the 2nd floor. went to jannor bcs i rly need the motivation to finish Prof’s PPT. my fav spot was taken :( but thankfully after ~1 hrs i can be there. went back to mess. my brain is still functioning nicely and awake from the coffee. but i didnt continue work in mess. slept at 12-ish, reading plenty of killugon fanfic lmaooo

9 - bp umum with bu ade. got free food for lunchie. thursday shift as usual at the clinic. its been a while since i last saw cakap korean class again. its talking about disease and symptoms lmaoo

10 - capolista @ pustu. super happy for the chance to take blood the patients. still got some learning and practicing to go. the kind ibu perawat holds the spuit so effortlessly. i think the moral lesson is to not easily give up, dont go too deep, and kinda explore a bit when the blood doesnt come out. went back to mess to have lunch. continued reading this one long killugon fix lmaoo. 

11 - mtbs today with bu imas. there was surprisingly plenty of patients. got some time to myself bcs tri got the afternoon shift and renata went back to jakarta. did some self care (?). ran at 5.30 pm. dropped my bni card from my pocket near KS and realized it in palm hills. thank God it was still there when i went back. my body feels sluggish. its probably been 2, 3 weeks? of me not running on sunday. didnt rly do anything substantial afterwards. 

12 - cfd with ness mendel callen tri. tri left early bcs we separated. bought roti canai, lychee mango drink, potato+tofu and of coursee keripik pisang. my body hurts afterwards. ~8k steps when we arrived at mess. washed my clothes. ate spaghetti. relaxed. zoom meeting with dr eva. watched some youtube. enjoying the alone-ness

13 - posbindu w bu ira and bu elis. didnt rly do anything substansial at mess except laying around. watched yuni at transmart with ness callen. failed to get the 50% cashback bcs i didnt click the coupon hhhh. the movie was surprisingly fun and relatable for a coming-of-age genre

14 - KIA with bu mut. pretty much played with my phone the whole time there’s no patient. already opened my laptop while waiting for 2 oclock but ended up napping :) tried kopsus gula aren from daily weekly. the cafe was pretty cozy. the coffee was surprisingly not as acidic as the mocha i tried from DW. its creamy, but not nutty like jannor. did some minor work. did some more work at mess. i guess its better for me to not use a laptop stand bcs its easier on my hand ergonomics lmao

15 - mtbs today. i cant find my wireless headset. waited it out for 2 oclock. napped didnt rly do anything useful today. its always a promise of 2mrw

16 - woke up for sahur. hectic bp umum. i need to stop napping in pkm and do some actual shit. just lazed b4 clinic. bought roti o to get some ice tea and snacks for iftar. turns out teteh2 gave plenty of food and i was sooo full. alhamdulillah

17 - chill KIA day with bu Sri and bu Rohayati. no patients. i just played my phone lmao. went back to mess for laundry. napped a bit, mustered the courage to open laptop. did some work accompanied by RotiO hazelnut coffee. ended up not being able to sleep until 12 am

18 - mtbs with mendel. bought kanayam mozzarella and ugh its too much lol. just sambal for the win

19 - cfd with ness ren tri. did 1 pamela reif video. jannor. watched a bit of APICD ecg vid. cant bring myself to finish Prof’s assignment huft. 

20 - fasting today. bp umum w mendel and bu ade. there were a lot of patients TT. read living with you manhwa. tried to do some work. bought mcflurry for iftar. felt rly sleepy after iftar. i shouldve drank some coffee

21 - porridge for bfast. posyandu kota bumi with teh yuyun as usual. ibu kader cooked some food and we ate together in posyandu. showered at mess after posyandu lol. waited it out in pkm. napped. woke up and hopefully i can do something productive. tried to brainstorm for Prof’s work but i cant bring myself to type any sentence. Its difficult. helped tri dye her hair at midnight lmaoo. slept at 1.30 ish

22 - MTBS with bu sri. did some citation revision during poli for dr eva. napped. did laundry.

23 - MTBS with nessa. tried sotang mozzarella and the regular sotang. its nice but its basically modified sausage. got to have the mess for myself since ren ness were in jkt. clinic shift as usual except it was raining. was given mango sticky rice. watched dalbang before sleep

24 - chill KIA day with bu Imas. ate the sticky rice. honestly its nice but i dont actively search for it. relaxed at mess. indomie for lunch. purchased a beauty clinic package at fave. 

25 - jaga posko with bu mutia, bu sri and pak jul. chicken porridge for breakfast. watched a chinese action movie, the island, jerome polin in youtube lmao. napped. ate my packed lunch. picked up burger bangor bcs there’s promo. finished my shift. prepared and packed my stuff. waited about 10-15 mins and was about to give up til the arimbi shows up (i skipped like 3 prima jasa). there were not that many ppl. stayed at devi’s house with racheel. tried menantea. we talked until late at night

26 - its nicely cold and breezy in the morning. watched tune in for love. indomie for bfast. watched kingsman in balekota and bought xxi popcorn with gopay promo. ate at imperial tangcity. maghrib at devi’s place and then off to AR. my phone fell on the way hiks. dad finally saw my hair lmao. he didnt rly say anything abt it. can finally shower and relaxxx by myself. 

27 - put my phone to be serviced. Basically just slept and watched youtube. Picked my phone. Evening jog w racheel. Otw to cilegon

28 - bp today. Didnt do anything, rly lol

29 - posko. Bu neni bought me bfast and lunch 🥺 evening stroll to the usual place ith ness renata. Watched bad and crazy while eating oishii popcorn

30 - mtbs with teh vinny. Put on my screen protector and attempted 3 times lmao. Cooked some veggies

31 - chill kia day with bu sekta and bu neti. Listened to bu sekta's life story. Went back to mess. Waited out 2 pm. Packed my stuff and off to jkt. Took primajasa and stopped in karang anyar rest area. Off to devi's. Delivered plenty of food. Martabak, moon chicken, tanoshii sushi. Watched Always (2012). Saw fireworks on devi's rooftop
