I'm thinking about Isobel who came back from the dead a hundred years later, who came back to the lands cursed and her father fallen into madness.
Who eminates a barely indistinguishable whiff of rot and Myrkul's power. Who was touched by the forces so repulsing she wishes she has never come back.
And who still has Moonmaiden's favor and her blessing.
Like by all means Selûne had every right to punish Isobel for her father's sins, esp considering what Isobel is, undeniably, the cause of Ketheric turning into the villain he became. Or rather, her death is.
Instead Selûne grants her enough power to battle the curse and create a small safe harbor amidst darkness. More power than the most have, as priest of Selune!Tav might comment.
Instead Selûne favors her, loves her.
Isobel is the indirect reason Aylin is enslaved and the lands are dying under the curse, and Selûne never turns her back on her.
Idk it just makes me emotional

For Manva Eros - 5, Stroge - 3, Ludus - 4. (honestly all of the Philautia but lets say 1 and 4 )
eee thank you! Answering these asks on the Seven Forms of Love
How closely is their opinion of their own beauty (or lack thereof) linked to their confidence? Do they see themselves as more or less worthy of love or sex based on how attractive they feel?
She would always say it does not matter. She owns no mirrors, dresses plainly, does not think of what it is to be desired. Until... she is RUINED lmao. Gortash pierces her ears, he tries to dress her in finery, he shows her herself in a mirror, he gets a portrait commissioned of her. It awakens the awareness of vanity, but also a great deal of concern about how she compares to his other lovers, which she tries to suppress.
How far does parental approval (imagined or expressed) impact upon their current sense of self-worth? What might they sacrifice or attempt to achieve in order to ensure the approval of their parents?
Daddy's love is EVERYTHING to Manva. She dedicates her life to it once she finds out who she is aged 13. She would give him the world, even if she does grow to eventually try and find some loopholes as to exactly how that might pan out... post-tadpole she still comes back to Bhaal, most likely because she's desperate to find meaning.
Who was your OC's first crush? How do they feel about it now?
(I love this question particularly!) Her first crush was her father's prior chosen Torlin Silvershield. A weird mix of him being a father figure that comes into her life when she's 13, a desire to be him, and the fact that he is a charming man who gets to live in the upper city as a fancy lord. It's also a bit of a competition for his attentions with Orin - who amongst us hasn't formed a terrible crush based on competition? It's not reciprocated, for good reasons. She doesn't really think of it at all, and has reframed it as a critical eye now she is chosen.
Does your OC have a healthy sense of their own worth and value? Or do they see themselves as failing to live up to their original potential? Perhaps they are convinced of their own sinful or inadequate nature?
Man! She can never crawl on the floor low enough when it comes to serving her father. The influence of her upbringing in the Ilmateri temple has really done a number on her here. She is a terrible combination of supplicant and raging ego, both the lowest form only on the plane to serve her father, and THE manifestation of his will on Toril. It's not a very sane place to be in!
Which of your OC's qualities makes them the most proud? Do they think more people should be like them in this regard? Or do they quite like being rare in possessing it?
Pride is a vanity, she would never think of herself in that way. More people should be humble, as she is. The most humble person. Lmao.
