#lynx speaks#i just keep thinking about how dorian b4 we met his brother he said that cyrus was the golden child#he was perfect at what he did. he took to his noble duties like. well like a fish in water. he was a natural#and so dorian flew off and away. there was a whole wide world outside of their home. there was just so much to see and do#and as if his tune had been carried upon the wind itself cyrus held fast to his brother#it was his duty his responsibility his honor to finally be where dorian thrived. but he wasnt great at it#he got in trouble and became his younger brothers responsibility. an oldest siblings worst nightmare.#the world was indeed wonderful so why was it so hard for him? why did cyrus struggle to keep up? to take off like he knew he could#like he knew he should just. be able to. he'd never not been a natural at something. is this how dorian felt?#in the pond of their noble life. enclosed. perhaps trapped.#if only cyrus had more time. if only he werent at the mercy of forces far crueler than those he'd known#if only he werent a fish. inside a birdcage.
