Although they've been in human minds, heard about humans, seen possession occur, they've never been given their own human form to possess and, therefore, have never gotten to speak to a human, let alone be in the same room as one...take this with a grain of salt if your muse is supernatural in some way, totally fine if they're only part-human or something of the like... <3 As far as I'm concerned he's really only ever been around other jinn, demons, gods, angels, and creatures like that...y/m could be supernaturally connected/know his kin/etc OR if y/m is just a standard human maybe they've sort of stumbled into this situation whether offered some quick cash in a pinch or something else entirely...up to you!!

Silence spread between them. Silence that felt deeper than the greatest canyon. It sunk into the atmosphere, ate away at any noise that tried to penetrate it. It seemed, for a moment, almost so silent that one could hear one's own heartbeat...and perhaps even the heartbeat of another, the blood moving through one's veins, the heavy pressure against one's lungs as the diaphragm expanded and contracted. Eir eyes locked onto the other's, chin resting neatly against their newly acquired limbs as e eyed them from the other side of the glass--a safe distance. But was the safety for eir sake? Or for the other's?

"I've never been this close to a human before," he admitted in a low tone, the only words to break the silence and yet it hardly felt like breaking it at all. It was almost as though their voice simply...melted away into the same silence that had been bringing the other closer to begin with. It drew them in, made them want to get closer. Lavender hues bore holes into the other's head, studying their internal temperatures, their very soul...What made humans tick? They were trying their very best to understand by o b s e r v i n g. The next question that came was likely a little confusing without context, but Shimi was still learning proper communication.
