DCA Info Part 31: Meet Vidya Nazari 🏝️

Vidya Nazari (ヴィディ��・ナザリ, Vu~idiya Nazari) is the dorm leader of Magiaoasis. She is the crown princess of the Oasis Kingdom who does charity work to help the commoners of her kingdom.

History

Vidya was born and raised in the Oasis Kingdom and is the daughter of its sultan, Faizan Nazari, making her the princess of the nation.

Vidya sadly never got to have a normal childhood like the other children. Due to her royal status, she knew that she would be at the risk of assassination attempts. At a very young age she had to learn how to defend herself, she did this willingly and her father hasn't noticed. She knows that the guards outside her chambers aren't going to be enough to keep the assassins away.

At some point during her childhood, during a festival held in honor of her birthday, she met Kalim Al-Asim and the two spent the day having fun and the two became friends.

Until she came to DCA, she became more open and sincere to other students.

Personality

Generous to the core, Vidya simply wishes to help both her kingdom and the common folk prosper. She harbors a deep hatred of nobles using their influence to abuse and belittle those lower than them which results in her acting passive aggressive towards the nobles of her kingdom. Vidya can be mischievous and use it to be a bit of a vigilante in helping out her people. She dislikes the fact that her father wants to maintain an image with nobles. But she doesn't trust people who she thinks will bring her father down.

Vidya is stated to have paranoia about the consequences of being royalty and even has nightmares of being assassinated in the middle of the night. In addition to this, she had issues distinguishing if someone wishes to be her friend or if someone is only interested in using her for her status and wealth.

Vidya always wears a facade and rarely gets to convey how she really feels.

Appearance

Vidya is a young woman of average height in her late teens. She has light tan skin, turquoise green almost teal colored eyes and long plum purple hair that reaches down to her below her hips.

2020 School Uniform

Originally Vidya wore a plum gray top with a ruffle bottom and gold detailing underneath a teal blue jacket with floral patterns, navy gem buttons, pale blue ruffle sleeves, and gold bands on the sleeves. She also wears a teal blue overskirt with the same floral patterns as the jacket and is attached to a pale blue belt with a gold flower design in the center and attached to it are a pair of gold waist chains with burgundy circular jewels. Underneath the overskirt, Vidya wears pale blue pants with ruffle hems and there's a gold band on her left knee. For footwear, Vidya wears a pair of grayish purple and gold heeled sandals with indigo gems and a pink flower decoration.

Vidya accessorizes with a gold circlet with rounded arches and teardrop charms, a pink flower hair clip that appears to be attached to a pair of gold swirls, three blue crystal diamonds and hoops attached to gold chains with maroon jewels. Vidya also has a gold collar and necklace with maroon jewels, a pink flower pin where her brooch is and a pair of grayish purple fingerless gloves.

2021 School Uniform

Vidya now sports a teal blue gold trimmed bolero jacket with slightly shorter light blue puff sleeves with gold bands that have indigo gems, the top underneath the jacket has changed to with the neckline featuring gold details and indigo gem buttons. The overskirt now has gold trim and is attached to a gold belt with an indigo circular gem, the belt is also attached to gold waist chains with teardrops on them. The heeled sandals now have teal straps with indigo gems and gold ankle straps with light blue diamond gems.

Vidya's accessories have also been changed the circlet now has a circular indigo jewel, the flower hair clip has the glass diamonds and swirls fused to be on top of the circular gem, the gold collar now has rounded arches, and the necklace now has light blue diamonds.

Dorm Uniform

While in her dorm, Vidya wears a semi off-shoulder top with gold trim and the center part being light blue and the bottom portion being a slightly darker shade with a peacock feather print. The details present on bottom portion of the top carry over to the sleeves. She also wears a pair of light blue pants underneath a blue ombre overskirt with peacock feather print. For footwear, Vidya sports a pair of gold heels with gold ankle bands.

Vidya accessorizes with gold accessories, these include: a circlet with beads and a circular charm with a flower design in the center, a pair of earrings that resemble vines with amber beads on them, a beaded necklace, a belt and a set of three bracelets on each hand. The most prominent accessory shown is the blue transparent sari with gold trim.

School Statistics

Vidya is an 18 year old 3rd year student. She is classified as Student #14 and is in Class 3-E. She is a member of the Gardening Research Club Club and her best subject is Cultural Dance. Her favorite school subject is Griffin Disc because she enjoys the rush she feels when playing the sport. Her least favorite school subject is Ballroom Dance because she thinks ballroom dancing is too standard and no fun unlike cultural dance.

For her idol performances, Vidya has a rather powerful vocal range she uses it to sing songs in their own language no matter how fast the tempo is. Her voice is also fitting for rock songs.

For her choreography, Vidya is very good with cultural dances, able to memorize each step in short time. She is also good with energetic, freestyle dances too.

Vidya wishes for the her work to acknowledged by her father. It angers her that he doesn't seem to notice the issues of poverty being ignored.

Confidants

Vidya has a personal retainer who is a tiger beastman named Rajin. He often spars with Vidya but only to learn more sword techniques from her. Vidya chose him to work as her servant when he was being beaten by a noble's guard. He was an orphan with nowhere to go, he swears his life to be her eyes and ears when she isn't around the palace.

Vidya also has a mutual in the form of Alejandro De Oro, the son of a Marqués. He would always go to banquets to see some poor guy's pride get hurt.

Pet

Vidya has a pet albino elephant named Asha. She is still a young elephant but she is timid and has a garden complete with a house and a man-made pool for her. Asha is a rescue elephant, Vidya saved her from being mistreated from a traveling circus. Asha only likes to be around Vidya and won't let anyone get near unless Vidya was around. Vidya made time to be around Asha and would give her pet a bath herself.

Fellow Students

Vidya is known to have a friendly rivalry with fellow student and dorm leader, Evonie. She is also friends with Jinlong.

Night Raven College Students

Kalim met Vidya at a festival in her honor and he was obviously a happy-go-lucky boy and just dragged her everywhere, showing her the fun things he could do and hopes that she might like it too. Vidya is too overwhelmed but tries to be polite. But then she felt her soul ascend when he got her on the magic carpet with him. Out of all the nobles who attended, she kept in touch with Kalim the most because at an early age Vidya appreciates that fact that he didn't treat her like glass, even though being high in the sky with no safety was terrifying. She knows the heavy price of being in the life they lead. Luxury comes with treachery. There are many people who want her out of the picture, the same can be said for Kalim. He only has to eat food made by Jamil due to an attempted food poisoning that sent Jamil into a coma. Vidya did get along with Kalim and at some point envied him since he can still smile despite all the hell he has to go through.

Jamil is a very observant boy and he knows when someone has ulterior motives. But because Vidya was introduced into his and Kalim's lives at a young age, he's learned to trust her. He could see in her body language that she is on high alert when it comes to parties and events while Kalim happily laughs carefree. He soon became friends with Vidya. Since they've become friends at a young age, so probably one exception that he trusts her fully to make sure nothing happens to Kalim. He also appreciates the fact that she can look after herself. Vidya has become the person who would look after Kalim when Jamil is absent or doing other tasks. She's gotten good with using her unique magic to keep Kalim out of trouble.

Romance

Though she plans on ruling by herself, if Vidya were to choose a partner, she needs someone who is smart and someone she can trust around the palace, she knows that many would stab her in the back. So if her partner isn't swayed by the promises of wealth and genuinely wants to be with her, she'll accept them as her significant other.
