In the Supreme Court, we currently have four women justices out of the sitting 33. That makes it just 12%. Of the 1.7 million advocates, only 15% are women. The number indicates huge absence of women professionals in the field of law and justice. . . How the Supreme Court has evolved since 1950.
India’s Supreme Court has three new judges—justices Indira Banerjee, Vineet Saran and K.M. Joseph—but not without controversy.
