انور مقصود پاکستان کے لیجنڈ ہے جس میں کوئی شک نہیں اور یہی وجہ ہے کہ معروف اداکارہ عدنان صدیقی بھی ان کے مداح ہیں۔ انور مقصود اور عدنان صدیقی نے گزشتہ دنوں امریکا کا دورہ کیا جس کا مقصد انڈس ہسپتال کے لیے فنڈز جمع کرنا تھا۔ اس دورے کے دوران عدنان صدیقی نے انسٹاگرام پر انور مقصود کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ انہوں نے لکھا ‘ایسا وقت بھی آتا ہے جب کسی ایسے کے لیے درست الفاظ کا انتخاب مشکل ہوجاتا ہے جس نے آپ کو سب کچھ سیکھایا ہو، یہاں تک کہ شکریہ کے چند الفاظ کا چناﺅ بھی مشکل ہوجاتا ہے’۔انہوں نے مزید لکھا ‘میں نے انور مقصود صاحب جن کو میں انور ماموں کہتا ہوں، کو بہت سال پہلے دریافت کیا اور مجھے پی ٹی وی کے لیے ان کے تحریر کردہ ڈرامے خوابوں کی زنجیر میں کام کرنے کا اعزاز ملا’۔ عدنان صدیقی کے مطابق ‘اس کے بعد میرا ڈرامہ سیریل عروسہ نشر ہوا، اس کے بعد مجھے پہلی فلم کی پیشکش ان کے ذریعے سے ملی اور ہم کراچی سے لاہور اکھٹے آئے، میں فلم تو نہیں کرسکا مگر وہ دوسری کہانی ہے’۔

اتنے سال گزر جانے کے باوجود ھبی انور مقصود کی شخصیت ان کو متاثر کرتی ہے ‘اس سفر کے دوران مجھے نہ صرف ان کی اعلیٰ طرف کو جانچنے کا موقع ملا، بلکہ میں نے ان کی مقبولیت کا نیا پہلو دیکھا جہاں لوگ محض ان کی ایک جھلک دیکھنے کے خواہشمند تھے، میں ہمیشہ سے ان کی شخصیت کا مداح ہوں، مگر اب اس کی شدت بڑھ گئی ہے۔ میں بس ان کو دیکھ کر اور لوگوں کو اپنی حس مزاح اور طنز سے ہنسانے کو دیکھ کر سیکھ رہا ہوں، ان کی شخصیت جادوئی ہے اور نازک صورتحال میں مزاح تلاش کرنے کی صلاحیت ہمیشہ مجھے حیران کردیتی ہے’۔

There are times when it can be difficult to find the right words to say to someone who’s literally taught you from scratch, even if it’s just a few words of thank you to express how grateful you are towards that person. So this is how it all began. I was discovered by Anwar Maqsood Sahab whom I lovingly call, ‘Anwar Mamu’ many many years ago and I had the honour of acting in his play ‘Khwabon ki Zanjeer’ which he wrote for PTV. Then my first drama serial Uroosa happened. Post that, my first film was offered to me via him and we travelled from Karachi to Lahore together. I didn’t end up doing the film but that’s another story. I’ve always been grateful in my heart to Anwar Mamu for all that he is and for all the wisdom that he has imparted to me. I was looking forward to be a part of the Indus Hospital fund raiser but now this trip has an entirely different meaning and an enriching experience for me. On this trip I’m not only gaging his magnanimity, but I’m also seeing a different side of fandom where people are wanting to just catch a glimpse of him. I’ve always been in awe of his personality, but I’m more so now. There’s so much that I’m learning just by observing him and the way he makes people laugh on his wit and satire. His aura is magical and he has the ability of finding humour in the most crucial situations which has always amazed me. Anwar Mamu, thank you for being you and for all that you are to me.
