Slowly feeling more confident with my carving. I have some larger pieces of rubber on the way, and I think when they arrive I'll be ready to take another crack at one of @shelternmberone 's gorgeous Vash designs :D
Work has been busy lately, so missed out on practicing my carving the last couple of weeks, but I've taken an extra day off this week to recoup and will be doing another stamp tomorrow I think :3
Feedback and advice always welcome!

DODGE 🌠 I absolutely love all the small art details in Baldur's Gate, like the ability and achievement icons. So here's a stamp of the symbol for 'uncanny dodge'—a passive skill of my faaaaaavorite rogue~

ever since i've figured out how to put books together by just sewing them, i've been making lots of them. these ones here are for a ongoing personal project, and putting this stuff together has been lots of fun! I made a lot of textured paper using acrylic paints and put those sheets together in these books, the backsides of these pages remain blank, and that's deliberate!
other than that, i made stamps, and stamped away, printmaking has become one of my all time favourite things over these past few months, so i'm going to be making lots more stamps in the foreseeable future hopefully :3
(water-soluble ink stamps on textured (paint) and non-textured cartridge paper - the pages were sown together using yarn)

Daily Dood Day 82
<- Day 81 | All Days | Day 83 ->
Played around with one of the stamps I got from the thrift store today, this deer looked so cursed I couldn’t not get him. I’m excited to try out the rest and experiment with them in my art!

Day 2 of on the job training
There isn't much I can do on my own without help. So when it gets busy, my experienced seniors take over and I am relegated to easy tasks that don't require much knowledge. I may not be able to handle complicated transactions, but I DO know how to pack a birthday present securely and decorate lovely boxes.
Months ago, in preparation for this very time, I invested in a wax seal set and an ink stamp set. My plan was to offer these to customers as a free little extra service, to decorate their parcels and seal their letters.
And today, barely into my new position, I got to offer my decorations to my first customer! She said she didn't mail things often and needed help packing up a handmade birthday gift to send to a friend. I helped her choose supplies and pack them safely. Then, I asked if she would like to decorate the box with some ink stamps. She was surprised and delighted when she saw the stamps and eagerly adorned her box with roses, vines, and "special delivery" in swooping calligraphy. It turned out rather cute and I daresay it will put a big smile on the birthday girl's face when she finds it on her porch.
The top manager heard about my stamps later and seemed impressed by the unique idea. I think we're both looking forward to lots of happy customers!
