I feel like some people need to relearn Genre Expectations... "Man, this tragedy sucks!!! Why didn't they just do XYZ, then everything could have ended happily!!" well, then it wouldn't be a tragedy, would it. "Man, this lighthearted teen romcom is terrible, it's so sappy and unrealistic!!" Well, yeah. If it had been gritty and dark, it wouldn't have been a lighthearted romcom, would it. Is the writing actually bad or are you just trying to order a milkshake from a Home Depot

Tattoo Progress

Writing is going to be slow for a while. I'm finally getting the rest of my back tattoo finished! Hopefully the session in August will be the last one!

It feels so relieving to finally be getting this cover-up. The last guy made Such a mess of my back that I felt horribly scarred and ugly for a long time. Now that this is getting done I'm starting to feel a lot better about myself.

Having so many sisters that you also count as friends, and vice versa, is so much fun! (I'll be using nicknames for them here.)

I was playing DOOM: The Dark Ages and the first time I saw Serrat, your Dragon Mount, I said "Wicked!"

When my sister-in-law, Coco, came to visit she saw me take out a demon with Serrat by spewing fire into it's mouth. Her response was to go "Sick!" She later bought the game for herself. XD

My best friend Monk, who is the sister of my heart, came over the next day and saw me tear out the throat of a demon with Serrat because I was trying to 100% the level. She grinned and said "Awesome!"

Although the words chosen were different the emotional tone was the same. We all thought it was cool as fuck!

This is what having sisters is all about~

That and our long talks about death, physics, alternate universes/dimensions, and books.

Birthday

My birthday yesterday was so awesome!

My husband took me to buy yarn and books. He knows me so well. XD

Then we had a lovely dinner together. We played Pokemon GO the whole time because we are nerds. lol

I now own an illustrated hardcover copy of The Princess Bride~

The Mandalorian: Din Djarin's Mandalorian Armor & Helmet

Well, since The Mandalorian TV series is going to be a wrap & we're not going to see anything new until The Mandalorian & Grogu film drops, there is one thing I've been wondering about when it comes to Din Djarin's Mandalorian Armor & Helmet….

After his 'Battle of the Mudhorn', Din Djarin & his Mandalorian Armor suffered substantial injury/damage. Even though Djarin did a pretty good job repairing himself, it was quite obvious the Armor took the brunt of all of the damage inflicted by the Mudhorn, and certain parts would have to be replaced. And I liked how they showed Din using his tools to fix his armor; it reminded me of how Tony Stark would use his tools to work on his Iron Man Armor.

But what really struck me were the electronics, circuitry, cabling, tubing & wiring that were exposed just beneath the Armor plating. It seems that Din Djarin's Mando Armor is layered: Outside is the Beskar, while underneath lies the high tech circuits & components. Similar to the hardware that you may see on a circuit board, or what may be seen if you opened up a TV, computer, cell phone or other electronic device.

Although I knew the Mandalorian Helmet was very sophisticated & advanced, I never thought the same of Mandalorian Armor being that complex with electronic components embedded in the armor. I'm curious as to what all of the apparatus & gadgetry are for & exactly what are their functions/ purposes. I also noticed the inner workings of circuitry in a layer of the Armor matches the circuitry located in the interior of Din's Mandalorian Helmet.

Hopefully, some sort of detailed diagram, chart, blueprint, schematic or something similar will be released, showing the layers and the interior build of both Din's Armor and his Helmet.

Work in Progress Wednesday Thursday

I don't remember the last time I was quite this excited about a skin that I'm making. I have no idea if all of this will end up in the final version, but I'm just having so much fun with seeing what I can actually do that I wanted to share some work in progress shots.

(honestly? the hardest part has been finding the images. any tips on where to get medieval illuminated artwork would be much appreciated!)

In the first image, the AO3 title and the lady/dragon are separate images so on a desktop monitor the AO3 part is on the left and the dragon piece is on the right.

I love it when the same character honorifics are basically used as a barometer for an evolving relationship over the course of a story.

me when people ignore the entire argument as to why Jango deserves to be treated better especially because while he wasn’t the best person ever he did actually do things the Mando way, in favor of ‘yeah but wasn’t it retconned that now the Fetts aren’t mando’
