slowly getting thru the endgame of mother 3 what the fuck is happening

started mother 3 . real good so far but the battles r kinda driving me crazy w the rhythm game thing
#IM STUPID !!!!!! I CANT DO THSI SHIT#i dont really play rhythm games the only other thing ive played is the fucking. rhythm heaven tutorial level at my friends house#multiple times. ive never beaten it. IM SO BAD ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY#i dont even get what ur supposed to be timed to or whatever in battles tho like#i keep putting enemies to sleep and trying to do it to the heartbeat thing but it doesnt ?? do anythint ???#the stupid thing that tells u abt the rhythm battles in game says you can get by without doing it but i kinda doubt that#like…. thats half the whole battle gimmick youd imagine the game is balanced around it being utilized#also im judt absolutely getting my ass kicked rn i never got any game overs until i got to the castle#i forgot how to spell the name sorry#uh anyways i died like 7 times . sigh#still havent gotten thru all of it but whatever ill figure it out eventually#i needed to take a break anyways#its kinda bumming me out how much trouble im having w this but ive only played for like 3 hours its a whole game ill probably get better#as the game continues ??? idk#inqusitivewaltz.txt#characters and whatnot r very fun so far but again im only 3 hrs in so not much has happened i didnt already know abt XD

played some more mother 1 i died to the magicant dragon like seven times in a row . awesome
#last attempt ana died turn one i just gave up after that#i dont want her to lose out on the exp… plus shes rhe only one w superhealing in case someone else goes down#ive heard it can get oneshot if u just use a superbomb but part of me wants to actually beat it#idk#seems pretty impossible at the level im at rn tbh i might just give up and do that#i got lifeup beta on ninten before one of the attempts on rhe way to the dungeon thingy but i reset the game after i died cuz i didnt#wanna lose the money i had on me and i still havent been able to learn it again -_- really annoying but also it hasnt been too necessary#since i gave evrryone h2o pendants and started setting up psi shields turn one#honestly the biggest issue is the physical damage (its pretty much guaranteed to oneshot ana even with boosted defense)#only way to combat that is just grinding i think which i dont really wanna do since the best place#just based on the general feel of enemies so far for me to do that would be the desert#i dont think you can teleport there and im kinda sick of walking all the way there#right after i got the cactus melody i wanted to use the ocarina to play what i had so far but i accidentally used the onyx hook#and i still had to do the whole monkey cave thing so i had to walk all the way back 😭#oh my god im realizing how whiny this sounds its like. im not as frustrated as ive seen some ppl get w this game but understand this is lik#the most time-wasting game in the world. walking anywhere takes forever cuz of the horrible encounter rate and shitty map design#genuinely i dont mind as much of this games jank as i probably should but the backtracking is insane#especially when you actually take advantage of the onyx hook. at least i have teleportation now stuff will#probably be a lot more streamlined from now on#inqusitivewaltz.txt

played more mother 1 got thru duncans factory first try >=]
#context if u dont know anything abt this game duncans factory is one of the most infamous parts of the whole game#its designed like a complete maze with literaly no way to tell where you are and no real sense of progression#combined with the shitty encounter rate and the fact that you need loid to be alive#(you get him right before you need to go to it and hes thr weakest party member in the whole game) its an absolute nightmare to get thru#i had heard vaguely of the trick to navigating before i think that seriously helped#i remember it being smthn like ‘go right and take every ladder you see’ but thats not exactly what i did so idk#i didnt even bother exiting properly i just teleported to magicant lmao#excited to play some more soon my familiarity with the game gets kinda fuzzy after this point#i kinda zoned out for the later half of the game in the playthrough i watched tbh XD#inqusitivewaltz.txt

i dont think i mentioned this when i actually beat the game but i never got the credits to roll for mother 3 (im a little stupid) uh finally took the time out to watch an upload on youtube (didnt really feel like reloading my save n stuff just to see the credits) im so mad at myself dude i feel like the ending wouldve connected a lot better if i actually saw the second half of it 💔
